I found it! The absolute best nail salon in the area. Jenny, the sweet owner and the wonderful Angie did a BEAUTIFUL job and best of all they don't spend the whole time trying to upsell you! The ambiance is nice- soft music, a tv is on but not loudly. It's very clean here and they're impeccable with their work. I had an acrylic fill and my mom (80 years young) got a deluxe pedicure. They did a wonderful job of both and took their time as she's got elderly feet and they were gentle and so polite. Very kind, visited with mom and no talking about us like some places. This is my new nail salon- very reasonable prices!! Tips: I called for an appointment but it's not necessary, I just like getting in first thing in the morning. I LOVE this nail salon. I took my fiancé here for pedicures in August, and I've had my nails done here twice since then. We are also going for pedicures today! Mia has always done my full sets and fills, she pays such close attention to detail and takes her time. She is AMAZING. The overall customer service at CK Nails is great. I saw there has been a lot of good ratings but I cannot say I agree. I went here prior to covid and the first two times were ok and the bathroom was really clean! My third time going I had a new set and then after a couple days three nails lifting and one came off. I went back and they told me I needed a new set after I just had one from them. I was frustrated but am non confrontational so I voiced my concern and they didn't even offer a discount or anything and I'm like why would I pay all that money again and if that is the case I would rather pay another nail shop then to fix the mistakes. The first two times I had my nails done here, they looked good and the gel lasted for three weeks. I just had a gel manicure and gel pedicure done for my wedding last week and the entire experience was TERRIBLE. It was a slow day. There were only two other people in the shop. Even so, they were running behind. I thought, that's fine, it'll give me a minute to pick a color. She gave me a handful of color fans to look at, but after five minutes she came and grabbed two of them back and put them on the hook without saying anything. I had to get up and get them again because I hadn't even looked at them yet. I felt uncomfortable and apologized for taking too long- I explained that the next day was my wedding. I asked for just enough filing to make all the nails the same length. This lady cut my nails down way too short, and then she did a sloppy job of shaping the nails- some were pointy, some were sawed off on just one side, all were crooked. She asked if they were okay, and I asked if she could please make them even. She got frustrated and started raising her voice at me and saying she didn't understand what I didn't like, and said she would file them again later after the pedicure. A different person did my pedicure, and she was super nice. She saw me looking at my butchered nails and whispered that she would fix them. She did her best, but there wasn't much to work with. The pedicure did turn out a lot better than the manicure. Six days later, the gel on my nails is peeling up from the cuticles on every finger. The cuticles themselves didn't get pushed back evenly or properly- certainly doesn't look like a professional did this. I'll never waste $100 here again. read more

I went to get a gel manicure and pedicure for an upcoming vacation. The nail salon was very clean and really quiet on a Monday. Susan and Tina were very helpful and immediately helped me. Tina helped me with the pedicure and gave me a really great foot and leg massage that lasted longer than most nail salons! Susan helped me with my gel manicure and was very gentle when I told her my skin was puffy and sensitive around the nail. Both took their time but were really efficient and kind. I had an appointment on a weekday afternoon for a mani/pedi- I came exactly at my planned appointment time and quickly chose a Polish color. I just opted for regular Polish because my experience with gel is that it costs more and is generally chipping within a week. First of all they were busy with clients and so I sat for a while, luckily they drew up a tub so I could at least wait in the massage chair. About 15 mins later a technician started working on my feet, while removing cuticles the technician dug so deep under my big toe that it started bleeding- at this point it might have been a good idea to stop and try to treat the area to stop it bleeding but this did not happen. To add insult to injury (literally) 10 mins later when it finally stopped bleeding she dug at it again in the same spot with the same tool- and it started bleeding again, this is an open wound and using a dirty tool is a sure way to introduce infection. I had to treat my wound at home for a week because my toe was getting hot (a sign of infection) and I'm sorry but MRSA is a thing! There are so many awful bacterial infections out there. Luckily I'm young and healthy- I would fear for an elder or someone without good circulation. At this point two walk ins came- and off to the races the technician went- the rest of my "spa" $40 pedicure ( plus $5 callous removal? I've never been charged extra for that!) was so so rushed. My Polish application was missing spots along the sides of my nails and toes, the manicure was the fastest and least thorough I've ever had, and to boot no topcoat on my Polish nails. All that fit $70. I begrudgingly left a $10 tip and usually I am a generous tipper. I'll never come back here. Might be better for acrylics but for just a plain spa mani/pedi- 100% do not recommend read more

I came in last minute and they got me in for a gel manicure and it was the best I've had in a long time! Jenny was so sweet and cleaned my cuticles perfectly and painted on the nail only unlike these other places that paint on your cuticle. Will definitely come back again! read more

I have been coming here since my aunt showed me this place. I moved near this nail salon since the beginning of the year, and I actually live about 5 or 6 minutes from them, so it's super convenient for me. First of all, I really love the cozy atmosphere, they almost always have the TV on so I get to watch something while I sit there to either get a pedi or my nails done, and they always offer a drink during your service. I always like to call ahead and ask them if they have time for me that day and so far, they were always able to take me in and make some room for me. When I call, Jenny picks up and she actually remembers me by my caller id name! Today when I called, she asked me if I was calling for getting my nails done today!! Lol, I love this place so much! Mia is also such a great nail tech (as you can tell by all of my attached photos). She works really hard on getting everything the way you want them. I remember once we spent 1.5-2 hours on my nails to get them to be perfect. Anytime I need her opinion on something she's always there to give me my best option. has a lot of potential, but too many issues to abide. my first few times were uneventful. not particularly ,memorable one way or the other aside from occasionally receiving a random body scrub or lotion as a gift, which admittedly is very sweet. however, over the years i have had nothing but one bad experience after another. messy manicures, being soaked by a incorrectly placed spickett during a pedicure, cut multiple times, & always inconsistent pricing. i honestly only went when i ran outta time to do it myself because they (were) the closest salon to me. my final visit, i selected the $30 pedicure, per usual. before i left i handed over $45 in cash, exchanged pleasantries & walked out. while waiting for the crosswalk signal to change, i noticed this same woman who im pretty sure at this point is the owner, & if not she is certainly clearly running the place- running down the sidewalk shouting at me. i followed her back inside & asked what the issue was. she informed me that i had only given her $45... i replied that i had selected the basic pedi & had in fact (intententally) overpayed as to leave a tip. she claimed to be confused & that she thought i'd selected mid range (which i did not & honestly couldn't tell you the difference- it was unremarkable), & that that teir was $45... which i had indeed given her. this was not the first, second or even 3rd time i'd had a similar interaction that took place at the register, which is one of the reasons i had the cash ready as i left. but to accept it & then chase me down the street like a criminal because you conned me & STILL expect a tip? i was taken aback. i took a moment & considered standing on principle & refusing an additional tip but decided that making an issue of it was not worth my energy, so i simply gave her another ten dollars & made the choice to never return. thankfully, another salon popped up down the block & is absolutely wonderful, so check my page for that review/recommendation. read more

Mia is amazing! I've been to quite a few places in Renton and Mia has been the only one who does my dip mani so perfect. Unlike other salons, Mia does not apply the powder super thick - she keeps my natural nails looking right and on-point! Her attention to details is always consistent. Jenny and her crew continues to provide excellent service for me and my family through out the years. Jenny is ALWAYS smiling and makes me feel amazing after leaving. They welcome walk-ins, if you don't mind the wait (it's worth it), but I try to always call to see what their availability is. read more

They do NOT have very many dip colors. I called to see if they did dip and she said yes. I showed up and they have many a dozen or so colors. But random colors, glitter galore, nothing neutral. So the nice lady (only reason she got two stars), suggested doing dip nails with gel polish. I questioned if that was even going to work because I had been told at other locations that wasn't possible. She assured me it would be fine. I trusted her. I've posted three photos. One of the little dip colors they have. Second my finished product that I was happy with and tipped VERY WELL....and third, the next morning both of my thumbs had the colored PEELED off, and the gems/stones were falling off left and right. Insanely disappointed is the results the very next morning. I'll be going elsewhere to fix this that's for sure! read more

I've been coming here for the last twoontjs and my service today was the final straw. I went in to have my old acrylic set removed and a fresh set put on. 1. This salon uses the 'lift it off' method which is slightly painful. 2. I was cut with the drill not once but FOUR times, not to mention the nail tech literally filed the skin on one of my thumbs off to wear it burned. 3. The index finger nail on my right hand is so crooked there's no way she didn't notice. 4. There's a literal hole where there's no acrylic on one of my nails. For $45 I'm disappointed, yhis is the first time I've left a salon without tipping. I won't be returning. read more

GO ELSEWHERE. I've been here a few times, first time was great but each visit was worse than the one prior. This last visit will be my LAST VISIT! The nail tech was so rude- she used a dremel on regular polish and said she had to because i had glitter polish. I've been getting glitter for years and never had a dremel used. I asked her not to, because my nail was healing and growing back, but she ignored me. Then she told me not to do glitter again. After dremelling all the polish off my nails, she still wrapped them with acetone/remover for another 15 minutes. I was frustrated they weren't listening to me so I decided not to get any polish and just finish my pedicure. Then another employee told me not to schedule a mani pedi if I wasn't going to get a mani. They didnt trim my nails, clean my cuticles, clean my nails or polish them and they still charged me for a full mani. They should've charged me for removing polish (at most) but I didn't want to waste energy arguing with someone who does not care about customer service. read more
