Update on my original review, posted on July 31st, which you can read in the pictures. I just got a call from Tony and was threatened and accosted that he will not correct the job that I already paid him to do unless I take my review down. As is reasonable, I agreed to take the review down AFTER the work is done - especially considering the couch is dirtier now than it was before he treated it. I really just want a refund, but he refused and now I am being bullied into removing the record and recourse of this completely unprofessional, disappointing and time-wasting experience that the community has every right to know about in advance of hiring this business. Tony has also missed his appointments 3 times at this point to supposedly fix this and now I'm getting this BS excuse. Luckily, I work from home, but if I didn't, this would be a serious issue. Consider yourself warned. As I said previously - this review will not come down until the job is completed correctly or I get a full refund. That is how business works - you get paid for work completed - ie the review comes down when the job is done. If this mess is corrected or I am refunded, I will gladly remove the review. This is my word in a public forum. Consider that CityWide is surely going to lose much more than $200 in business just from this review alone, so your move, Tony. read more

PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO I UPLOADED OF THE DAMAGE: I truly wish I had never met this excuse for a human being. Not only did Tony destroy the carpet even further that he was supposed to repair with his "28 years of experience" but he threatens me and my family with violence, threatens to try and hurt my business because he knows the name of my company and now goes as far as to say I'm making it up? Alright Toney, please tell us how this is quality work that "will look better than new". His grand strategy was to pull out strands of carpet from another room and pile it over the original tear. He then sprayed it down with an aerosol canister of glue and matted it down with a roller. Tony claimed all the while that the glue would "suck down into the carpet and leave the strands all looking like new carpet". The pictures can verify that is was all bull and it left my carpet far worse than it was previously. Now the underpad cant even be saved and I'm going to have to pay a lot more for a replacement than I would have for an actual repair. Note: The one Tony said hed do in the first place, actually taking spare carpet, cutting out a piece and stitching it into place. See you in small claims court toney. I gave you a chance to honor your work and come back to do it right if "for any reason, I wasn't satisfied". I even tried to let you off the hook and just return a token $50. So lucky to have found them. I saw them outside my apartment complex and they came to clean right after the job they just finished. My carpets have been extra dirty since the kids have been quarantined at home. The carpets now look brand new and the service was amazing. Horrible customer service from Tony. Initial visit was OK but my carpets were left extremely wet and stretched out and the lipstick stains that I paid extra to remove remained. I called him minutes after he left the appointment to ask him to come fix the remaining stains and he promised to come back in a few days. THAT WAS 2 MONTHS AGO! After repeated attempts at scheduling a follow up visit and many unkept promises to come fix it, I was just informed that I would be charged ANOTHER service call to fix the issue. HE YELLED AT ME OVER THE PHONE AND HUNG UP ON ME. Do yourself a favor and hire a company willing to stand behind their service. Shame on you Tony. This company did some fair work for me in cleaning upholstery and area rugs, although it wasn't very thorough and a bit over-priced. But then I needed carpet cleaning and a total move out housecleaning. Tony gave me a price of $300, and said he could also provide a cleaning person at a great price (yeah right!). As time got near, the carpet cleaning increased to $350, housecleaning was to be $300 "at least," and yet another $350 for tile floor cleaning. Doing the work on Saturday was the plan, but then it was Sunday, and then a request to move it back to Saturday. And Tony insisted on cleaning the carpet first, before the housekeeper was to clean everything else. (Carpet is always cleaned last). Tony insisted that he "is a professional and knows what he's doing." This indicated otherwise. It was just too much stress, no fixed price, illogical order of projects, and only one cleaning person (Tony said more people costs him more money). Hello... this was already costing $1000 for a simple move out clean! Ridiculous!! Needless to say, we decided to cancel the service. Tony became rude and harassed us with numerous phone calls and harsh words. What a way to get business! We chose a reputable company instead. 6 people came to do the move out clean in 90 minutes (including the tile floors and WINDOWS). It cost $300. A great carpet cleaning company followed immediately at the whopping cost of $160. So, a total of $460 and get it done right, or $1000 to be stressed and harassed.. What would you do? Our condo management said nobody had ever turned over a place so perfectly clean. We made the right decision to NOT use City Wide! Always go with a trusted referral! It seems that Tony often responds to these reviews and turns the blame on the customer. Tony did a fantastic job cleaning the filthy Berber carpet in our apartment. I recently moved into the apartment, but the carpet throughout the apartment looked like it had not been cleaned in at least 20 years. The carpet felt so gross, that I did not feel comfortable walking on it without slippers or shoes on. You can see from the attached picture how nasty, dirty and black the carpet used to be, compared to the area that he had cleaned! If I could leave zero stars I would. Simply because of how rude he became on the phone. I found him on yelp, called and we made an appointment for Saturday between 1-2pm. I scheduled my whole day around this appointment. I called around 2:30 & Tony answered and said he would be at my house between 3-4 and he didn't show up till after that. Whatever water under the bridge. He gets here and he cleaned my couches which came out just fine and the a shag rug in my bedroom. He only cleaned around the frame of the bed at no charge. Now, moving on to my living room rug. All the furniture in my house is a year old and I bought everything when i first moved in. I have no pets and no children and everyone takes their shoes off when they come in. My rug wasn't dirty but needed a face lift. He cleaned it and as he left he told me to turn on the heater and let it dry well. It looked dark and spotty but he said it was because it's wet. I called him Sunday and sent him photos and he called me back and said not to worry that those "spots" were the wet areas. I came home Monday and the rug was completely dry. It looked horrible as if it was stained. The texture of the rug was rough and coarse. I made sure it was completely dry and I called and texted Tony photos. This rug was 1,000 dollars mind you. At first he was nice and said he would pick it up take it and have it cleaned. I said I am available anytime after 7 so he says well is anyone home during the day I cant pick it up now have to come clean it there. I said no, I don't want anyone cleaning it here as I already got a noise complaint because of the vacuum noise. I started to get upset and he started to get loud so I became loud. I told him are we going to fix this and are you picking it up since during the day won't work or this weekend. He said are you threatening me? I didnt charge you much only $160.00 yo were happy when I left. I was happy because you said my rug would dry and be nice. So then he proceeds to tell me I'm not his mother to raise my voice and I need to calm down or else he wasn't going to fix my rug....at this point I was already upset. I knew this rug was far beyond repair and He just wasn't listening and our conversation was going nowhere so I just hung up. Needless to say use a reputable company and someone who isn't going to disrespect women. I'm sad that my hard earned money went down the drain. I have to move and on top of all moving expenses I have to buy a new rug. My firm will be in contact!!! I'm going to edit my review. Racial comments?? Lol we are both from the Middle East. Please don't play the race card. Not with this girl. You don't own up to any of your bad reviews and you suddenly seem to be confused. I wish I can give these guys a one star rating I just bought a house in Perris and have them come out and one of the technicians stove for me so I'm filing a police report today I would never do business with this company and Tony is a complete scam artist! I found a police report for theft and I'm taking these guys to court! They did a good job cleaning the carpet however they did a horrible job cleaning up. I paid for 2 hours of cleaning and one hour of carpet cleaning. This company is a joke! I paid upfront and I didn't get a receipt, invoice nothing. I literally had to google Tony number to find his business and now call authorities for theft and file a small claims report due to theft. I told him I used maid service on a monthly basis. I contacted Tony to get my sectional sofa cleaned. Communication and customer service was poor. I was never really given an appointment time and ended up cancelling plans because of the lack of clear communication. Paul arrived at my residence and cleaned the sofa. He got the job done and was able to work around issues with parking in my area. He's the main reason that I would give this anything higher than a 3. The cleaning itself was okay. He missed a couple of spots, but they weren't visible areas. The pros are the price and availability, but I am reminded of the old adage of you get what you pay for. read more

I WISH I HAD READ THE 1 STAR REVIEWS BEFORE CALLING HIM! I found his Craigslist ad under ECO GREEN carpet cleaning, I called and scheduled an appointment with Tony for 8-10am for the next day. He said he would charge me between $150-$175 for 3 rooms, hall, and stairs. He heard me say something to my husband in Spanish and started speaking to me in Spanish. He was very friendly and said he would do a great job for me and that I would be very happy with his service. He said just like another reviewer, "I've been doing this for over 29 years!" The next day I woke up and moved all my rugs and things off the floor, I vaccummed to make sure everything was ready by 8am. At about 9:47am I got tired of waiting so I called him. He acted a bit surprised, he asked what city I lived in because he was still at another job, but he was on his way after that. At 11:03am he texted me that he was on his way. At 11:35am he calls me and he starts speaking in Spanish, I asked him in English if he is outside. He says no, the machine on his truck broke so he needs to swtich out his vehicle, he asked if he could come between 3-4pm. I told him that he should call or text if he can't make an appointment, that I had been waiting since 8am and I had other things to do. He apologized and said he would let me know 1 hour ahead of time if he was going to be late. Once again, I called him at 3:12pm and tried to leave a voicemail, but it was full. To his credit he called me two minutes later, but only to tell me he was waiting on the machine. I told him that if he couldn't do it, no worries. He said he could do it, he had no other jobs for the rest of the day and kept assuring me he would do a really good job. He finally called me at 6:00pm, I was on the other line talking to another carpet cleaning service scheduling for Saturday morning. He called me a few times and texted that he was ready to come over or he could be here the next day at 7am. I called and told him that I already talked to another service and they could accomodate me. He begged for me to give him another chance, he offered to do a flat rate of $150, I told him I was upset he made me wait almost 10 hours. He asked what I was willing to pay to make it right, I said $125, he said he would take it in cash. He said he could be at my house by 7am, I told him my husband sleeps in on Saturdays. He said he would call me at 8am to let us know he was on his way, he says he lives 7 minutes away from me. (At this point, I knew he was going to make me regret giving him another chance, my husband was very vocal about this). I called and cancelled with the other company and thanked them for understanding. I called him this morning at 8:43am and it went to voicemail. I left him a strongly worded text message letting him know how disappointed I was and to not try and make contact with me in the future. From reading other reviews, I see that he becomes irrate with people and threatening, I don't play that in my home, I am SO THANKFUL he didn't keep his appointment with me. Do yourself a favor when looking online for services, look them up by phone number, that is how I found him on Yelp. Thanks for reading. read more

We had a service with this company and we were extremely disappointed. Work not done properly, they did not disclose that the carpet and floors will continue to hstains. Very bad attitude in responding to our concerns. Arguments and making threats! We hate to flag any small business but this was very very unprofessional. Update: The owner apologized to the police detective assigned to the case and promised not to make any further threats to the business or the staff. We hope that this will be a new beginning for him.
