Good things: reasonable prices, good view of the city, the NBC building is pretty, clean, plenty of seating, food isn't too bad. I got a house made veggie burger and I liked that I could choose my toppings, but it wasn't great. Like I loved that it was grainy, I could tell it wasn't like really processed stuff, but there really wasn't any flavor. Even the pesto mayo I got didn't help much. Also the coke machine was missing a bunch of flavors according to my dad, though that might not be the restaurants fault! My family enjoyed their food mostly, and we all shared chocolate covered cranberries. This is a good place to stop for a quick lunch on the go, but I think maybe if I come back I'll order something else. read more

Great grab and go cafe! Located at the bottom of the NBC Tower, you can get just about any snack here, as well as meals. I'd definitely a say city front provides pretty solid meals. Sometimes they're hit or miss in terms of taste, but you'll definitely get a pretty substantial portion for what you pay and you'll always leave filling full. I prefer certain meals over others, specifically when certain companies do pop up, but that's with any Cafe. I'd suggest visiting when there is a special, which is typically during the middle of the week. read more

It kills me the way they cook their burgers. They are half cooked waiting there in preparation for the busy lunch rush that will never come, then they put them back on the grill to order and squeeze all the juices out with a spatula meticulously every :30 seconds until you are left with a dry burnt hockey puck. To make sure the garlic aioli didn't put any "unnecessary" moisture back into my burger....they made sure to carefully put it on in a very thin layer that I would have never known was there had I not seen it spread on. To make matters worse, they give you a giant bun for your tiny dry hockey puck. Bun to meat ratio is definitely off. I had to take about two bites to even get to my patty. This place has potential being right in the middle of a large amount of high-rise buildings near the Magnificent Mile filled with hungry office workers sick of eating the same thing daily. Great small cafe located in the NBC tower building. I was expecting high prices and mediocre food but got the exact opposite. I was able to build my own omelette and have an omelette panini for just less than $5! What a STEAL. They have coffee, pastries, oatmeal, etc. Totally worth going to this place if you're around the area. read more

I was staying at the Sheraton Grand (kitty corner from this place). I was there for a convention. This is a small place that caters to the working people of the area. The hours are 7am to 2:30. A few of us went there for lunch. Had I read the reviews first, I might not have gone. Nevertheless, I liked it. There was a wide variety of offerings such as soup, salad bar, cold sandwiches, and a few items fresh off the grill. I had a salad from the salad bar and chilled peach soup. The soup was like apple sauce in texture and it was a great compliment to my salad. After the convention, my husband and I ate there before boarding a tour bus. We liked that we were able to choose from a nice variety of options and as little as much as we desired to eat. It was a nice change from a restaurant that serves more than I can eat. With no fridge or microwave in the hotel room, too much food was left on my plate. read more

This is a place you go when you have no other option. I work in the building and we call this place "Shittyfront Cafe" Sometimes the food is good, but that's a rare sometimes. Generally it's cheap product that's bland, poorly prepared, and seriously overpriced for what you're getting. The lady that makes the sandwiches always looks at you like you just slapped her mother, but I'd be pretty pissed too if I was the face of such a crappy product. The sandwiches are always more bread than toppings and if you take Ms. Death Stare up on her offering of any extras she just smashes things on top with no regard for quantity or placement. I seriously got a full heaping handful of red onions put on my sandwich last week. Seriously, I worry that she's being held hostage- she pretty clearly hates her job. If you get something from the grill expect it to be overcooked. You can also expect that you will wait a very long time and that your order has probably a 50/50 chance of being wrong. The number of times I've been in my office lunchroom and someone opens their container from CFC and says "dammit this isn't what I ordered!" is often enough that it's hardly a surprise. They've started bringing in outside vendors to spice things up. Those are hit or miss. Their salad bar costs as much as Whole Foods with less selection and less quality, so just cross the street and go there, because I promise you it tastes way better. Actually, yes, just cross the street and go to Whole Foods whenever you think of going to Cityfront, which is what I do 99% of the time. P.S. I have been a customer for a long time at your restaurant. Are we supposed to be tipping your cashiers?

It takes them way too long (10-15 mins) to smash all the juices out of the meats and reheat the burgers, chicken and fish that have already been cooked and sitting next to the grill. Then, the cook behind the grill who barely speaks English forgets half of the toppings that you asked for 10 minutes ago and gives you attitude when you correct him and only puts half a slice of bacon on your sandwich.
