Two Sunset Moscow Mule and a white sangria

Good vibes and good drinks. This place is a good time. Our server, Darè, took good care of us. The rooftop is a good time. We stayed and enjoyed ourselves for several hours.

Shrimp Cocktail (3/5) + Mushroom Risotto Balls (5/5)

Great date night here recently despite the mediocrity, which, to be fair, is to be expected at a touristy pier with a flowery "Rosé All Day" garland on display. To drink, I ordered a Spicy Paloma; not well made and had a weird aftertaste, maybe would have liked the Passionate Affair more. BF loved the BPL. Neither was worth $18. Oysters were $50/dozen which I only mention b/c they didn't even tell us origins and they were absent of any flavor so the quality sucked. No notes of brininess, minerals.. just watery. We ordered a dozen of each and were disappointed. Shucking wasn't 100% on point either. But the atmosphere was great, and the gentleman taking care of us on the patio was welcoming, funny, and friendly! We had a seat on the outskirts of the patio that was *made* for people-watching. My partner loved the mushroom risotto balls he ordered while I thought the shrimp cocktail I ordered was just okay --price vs shrimp quality + I've had so many at incredible restaurants so I'm really partial to a specific style. The pier and walking paths nearby are the ideal place to hang out after dinner, walk the meal off. I'd come back for simple apps only and to try different drinks because the atmosphere, especially at the rooftop bar that we accidentally walked up to before seeing the condensed menu, is airy and lively.

Went for a Hip Hop and R&B bingo night. I read the reviews so I knew what to expect. We ordered pizza, wings and pasta to try a little bit of everything. The pasta was really good as long as you got everything in one bite otherwise you might feel like it needs a little salt. Evie was our server and she recommended the flatbread and the wings. Both were equally delicious. I ended taking what we didn't eat home and it was really good even the next day. I recommend using SpotHero or some type of parking app for parking because parking in NY isnt always easy. I look forward to going back. There were some wines on the menu that I wanted to try and they have igloos that would be really cute for a girls night or date night.

Found a nice refuge after a hot morning with the kids exploring Pier 25 and 26 playground. They have a nice outdoor seating area with shade and breeze coming from the water. I was happy that they also had a children menu (although I had to inquire about it and for a high chair). Their CV burger is outstanding. Juicy, with brie cheese, arugula, and with a sweet apple onion spread. I liked that they paired the tuna poke with taro chips but wished the tuna wasn't so salty and tasted more fresh. Overall food came out fairly quick and service was okay. Nice place to unwind if you are in the pier area with nice views. IG Jubes111 amd YouTube Jujubi Fam

Great place to stop in when visiting the city. On the River with amazing views. Indoor and outdoor bars and seating plus very puppy friendly even with a puppy menu. No happy hour but decent prices and super friendly staff. Nice menu options happy there were enough vegan and vegetarian options to get me to come back for a while.

Service: I love me some good service and the service here was top tier! Everyone was so kind and ready to accommodate, my kind of place, thank you! Food: we sat upstairs for the view which limited our ordering options but we got exactly what we wanted. The wings were fire, I kept saying they taste fancy lol they had a little flare of some sort that just did it for me. They were perfectly sauced up and we also had crab cake sliders that were delicious and perfectly prepared with some crispy perfect fries on the side. Ambiance: we went early on a Wednesday not crowded at all and got a very beautiful view. Enjoyed the sunny weather with a glass of wine.

Delicious food in a gorgeous waterfront setting. Can't speak to the drinks but my parents seemed to like theirs. The entire place is dog friendly, and there are outdoor seating options on the patio and the roof, as well as indoors, all with a view of the water from what I could see. Very spacious place in a serene setting. The staff was welcoming and service was quick, but not rushed. The hostess made sure to explain that one area did not offer table service, one area didn't have the full restaurant menu, etc, which was appreciated. Would absolutely come back again!

City vineyard is beautiful with a mini rooftop that overlooks the Hudson and ample seating throughout the entire venue. There are a lot of options for food and drinks however it's definitely on the pricier side. For drink we opted for the passionate affair (passionfruit margarita) frozen rose as well as the pineapple mint margarita. The Passionfruit margarita and frose were delicious. The pineapple mint margarita tasted like a watered down mint mojito so I probably wouldn't get that again. Although the venue itself was great, service was subpar with our waitress taking a while to bring our second and third round of drinks and hovering over us as we paid the bill to see what tip % we would give. Would have preferred another waiter or waitress.

Came here to celebrate my birthday and it was truly the best experience! Roy was our server and he was truly a delight, he recommended great dishes (like the truffle fries). We ended up getting to hear some amazing live music (Mindy Smith I believe). BIG shoutout to Mara for making our experience absolutely unforgettable! We will be back!

Great spot on the water! This photo is taken next for restaurant at sunset. This is a great spot for corporate events, big dinners, or any celebrations. Although known for wine in tap, the cocktails are great. The food is good too, but you really come here for the vibes. The pasta was surprisingly very good so was the kale salad. The charcuterie was good. The risotto balls were fine. The flat breads were not great, I would skip those. The fries were good. The service was good, although we ran out of water and they didn't refill.

Partner and I stopped in on our walk back to hotel as we were getting hungry. Music was on point. Vibe was fun and lively. It wasn't busy (~6:30 on a Friday). We were seated promptly outside as requested since the view is noteworthy. While we were looking over the menu, I searched yelp for food raves and noticed more than a few people said you go for ambience and view- not the food. They were not wrong. We chose to share the hot honey flatbread and 6 east coast oysters with a light flight and a glass of Cabernet. Wine was okay. The flight had decent size pour but the quality was not anything to write home about. Flatbread came out first (which we thought was a bit odd since oysters are raw but no biggie)l. We both thought pizza was so/so. Not a lot of flavor and just okay. Oysters were better. I am not an oyster fan but they came with minionette, pesto and cocktail sauce. Plus 2 small bottles of Tabasco and a lemon. We enjoyed those more. Service was a bit slow and we were actually never asked how we were doing. His check backs were apologies for the delayed oysters and then much later he finally brought the check. I dislike the machine where the server asks you to pay while they wait awkwardly during tip and signature. It's crazy awkward. Loved the view and music but would not return for the food. We are traveling so it was just out of convenience anyways. Just know if you go the food will not knock your socks off.

Such amazing views and we got to sit outside, if we were trying to do a happy hour I think we'd go upstairs. We got the truffle fries and Greek chicken pizza to share between 3 which was a great portion. The light wine set was also great because we got 4 2oz wines for $21!

Came in on a Saturday morning for brunch. It wasn't too packed, we were seated right away. The girl in the front (with super huge overdone lips) was not friendly at all. She looked and sounded forced to be there. I told her I wanted a nice view table and she said it would be over an hour wait, I then questioned her. And I can't understand why she couldn't say from the beginning that we could go to the bar (roof) and obviously have much better views which is what I was initially asking for. They definitely need better customer service skills. We went to the bar and got our drinks and food. The drinks were 7/10 food was also 7/10 Maybe I'd just be back for a drink and the view at night time. Restrooms are clean tho! And the place is big! Maybe I just caught them at an off day idk.

Ask the Community - City Vineyard

Are they toddler friendly? Are there high chairs?

Not sure about high chairs (I would guess yes) but we usually keep our guy in the stroller as much as possible. If you get a table outside, on an edge, I feel like you have enough space to accommodate kids and not disrupt too many other diners.

I haven't been able to get in contact with this restaurant via phone, is there an alternative way to make a reservation?

You can make a reservation off their website.

Does this place take reservations for brunch on Saturday for 3 people?

Hi, we don’t take reservations we only do walk ins.

Is bottomless brunch all day on the weekends? Have a 4pm reservation on a Saturday so wondering if we would have the option to do bottomless at 4pm.

Is there parking available here?

None that I'm aware of, but at this time it's relatively easy to find a parking spot in the city and then just walk across the West Side Hwy. just please don't park in a space that becomes a sidewalk cafe... 😉

Do you accept under 21?

Absolutely!

Does this place have a phone number where someone actually answers the phone? I have been trying to get in touch with them for multiple weeks -- they don't answer voicemail or email about a large group reservation.

Hi, I am sorry no has responded back to you. You are more than welcome to email me any questions you may have at anohalty@citywinery.com. I look forward to hearing from you.

Is this a somewhat romantic place to have drinks?

Yes - if you're sitting outside it would be very nice.

Any live bands performing on Sundays?

We no longer have live music on Sundays. Make sure to check out our live concert series, Voices on the Hudson coming late fall/early winter! You can find all listings on www.cityvineyardnyc.com

Is there bottomless brunch?

No bottomless brunch, but you can get carafes of drinks to share.

When is the lunch menu in effect and when is the brunch menu in effect?

Brunch menu is always on Saturdays and Sundays 11AM-3:30 PM Lunch is offered in spring and summer M-F 11AM-4PM

What are the days and times for happy hour?

We do not have HH until our winter hours, the times and days are determined when the season arrives.

Do you offer wine tasting flights?

We have one wine flight called the Taste of the Vineyard. It features our Sauvignon Blanc, Rose, and Pinot Noir.

Is it dog friendly? The outdoor space?

Yes indeed! We even have a Dog of the Month!

Is there frosé?

No frosé, but plenty of chilled rosé options!

North Moore towards West street or on the east side of West street.

The vibe drew us in, they had great music bumpin from the outside, it looked lively and welcoming. Let me tell you- I would have skipped dinner and just stayed here all evening if it was my choice! But alas, my husband wanted a bit more to eat. But let me tell you- their knowledge of wine is PRISTINE! I can't tell you what white wine we had but they captured our tastes perfectly. We also shared a bruschetta and it was deliciouso! I love how friendly the staff was here and how unpretentious it all was. First I'll start with the wine - we ended up trying all three happy hour wines (HH until 7), which the tables favorites were the white and we ended up getting a bottle to split once HH ended (but I really enjoyed the other vino verde option). It was incredibly refreshing and paired well with the many tinned fish options. As you'd expect - it's a pretty massive selection and there is bound to be a varietal and glass for any palate. It's also attached to a wine store - so it's fine to see all the bottles when peaking over. Food-wise - this is where it was hit or miss, they have a pretty extensive menu (with a whole tinned fish section!) and we ended up ordering the buratta on focaccia (buratta was excellent, focaccia was too dense for my tastes), mushroom truffle crostini (way too salty), the flatbread with sliced kielbasa (was fine), halloume (table favorite ), tinned sardines in lemon oil (delicious), tinned smoked trout (my favorite). Overall the four of us were very full at the end of the meal! The space itself felt very relaxing and rustic, and definitely got busier as the night went on (we got there at 6:50 and left around 9). The service was also fast and attentive - even for the amount of tables they were serving. Overall - I'd definitely go back again, and maybe just focus on the wine and another tinned fish selection!

I started with the chilled celtuce with kombu jelly (the celtuce stem was sliced into bamboo shoot-sized strips, as was the kombu jelly) with toasted shallots in a red vinegar sauce. It stole the show. I've never had celtuce, loved it paired with the jelly, the texture and flavor were both amazing. It was the most interesting and prettiest dish I've had in a long time. For my entree, I had the bobo chicken, which is a poached chicken with a hint of spice and a nice broth. I ordered a side of rice to soak up the broth; the rice had something starchy tucked in it (maybe taro)? I liked it. There were slices of raw celtuce stems (I think, similar to celery) on top that offered some nice texture to the dish. Wine: I tried a merlot by the glass from Xiaopu winery in China. I thought it had nice body and flavor. I'm no expert but for the first western style wine I've tried from China, it was very good. The service was excellent. They are great with wine advice, which I noticed as my server helped an adjacent table select a bottle. I am excited to come back to try more dishes. Great date place. Bad group place. Four or less.

They also have shared tables, so we sat with another couple. Huge wine selection. Everything we ate was delicious. To me, the Celtuce is more of a novelty - cool, yummy, fresh but small. The crudo was the same thing. So in my opinion, I don't think it's worth the money. The noodles were so good we got 2 orders of it - you cannot skip!! The dessert was also unlike anything I've had before. If you love sticky rice and caramel/toffee, you have to try it. Starting with the positives -the banchan was solid across the board and really flavorful. That said, charging for banchan feels strange to me. Traditionally, it's complimentary, like bread at an Italian restaurant so that part didn't sit right but it was flavorful. The chigae was interesting and probably the standout dish. It had a unique flavor that reminded me of a mix between soondubu and dwenjang chigae which worked well. Unfortunately, the rest was a miss. The bossam was overly salty and didn't feel true to the dish. The tteokbokki was another disappointment -it came with cheese (which wasn't expected) and just fell flat overall. For the hype, I expected much more especially because I've eaten Korean food my whole life. The venue is small and the seats in the back are uncomfortable.
