I had a cheeseburger and I was in heaven. Fresh meat melted American cheese, mustard for me, plus onions, lettuce, tomato and pickles. Fresh bun, my oh, my. Fries were probably frozen, but the burger more than made for that fact and I ate them all. Spousal unit had the fish dinner with salad bar. Yes, a great salad bar! Iced tea was brewed not instant. They are open from 5:30am - 8pm. I highly recommend this place. Clean, well-staffed with friendly people and good cooks. An older female employee with short light brown hair (about 60) kept refilling my coffee and apologizing for the slow service (as if this was not typical). I mentioned to her "Yeah, you must have a serious problem with the cooks in the kitchen." She laughed it off. Food finally arrived 1 hour later. Food was decent, nothing spectacular. Had to ask for the check. Went up to pay. The young male (about 16) at the register gave off a vibe that we were inconveniencing him. I asked for a discount since we had to wait so long. He responded with "There is no discount." I asked him to check with the manager. With irritated body language he walked away to ask a manager if we could receive a discount for our long wait time. He came back and said no discount. My husband asked to speak to a manager. A female employee came out to speak with my husband. She told him, RUDLY, there is no discount, there is no manager on duty, and the customers don't mind waiting. She acted as if how dare we ask for a discount for over an hour wait to receive food. He looked her in the face and said "We won't be back EVER, your customer service SUCKS, and we will be writing a YELP review." I find it hard to believe there was no manager on duty and they are running this restaurant like the wild wild west.
