My friends were staying at the JW Marriott in Anaheim, and we went to Citriculture, the lobby bar/restaurant, for an early dinner before a nearby event. I'd stayed at this hotel before and thought we were going to Tocca Ferro, but it was closed for no apparent reason. This was an inferior option.
Citriculture feels more like a lobby bar than a restaurant, without a defined dining area. Service was solid, but our table was just kind of floating by the bar, and it felt like eating in an airport or some other weird in-between space.
I did enjoy a glass of Sonoma Chardonnay. It was nice and the pour was generous. For dinner, I went with the lobster roll, with fresh "Main" lobster, mayonnaise, celery, onion, dill, baby gem lettuce, chives, and lemon. It was neither terrible nor good, but it did come with some satisfying fries.
I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but we were on a schedule and Citriculture got us fed. Choose Tocca Ferro if you're just trying to get food in the hotel. Worth trying your luck, though, if you want a big glass of wine. read more
