While I had attended a Cirque De Soleil in Vegas a couple of years ago it was hubby's first. Thankfully I agreed to go to this show. It was a much more enjoyable experience. The area is small enough that you see the performers up close. While the stage was smaller the up close factor made it awesome. I whole heartedly recommend attending this sort of Cirque De Soleil performance. The next time another such performance comes to Tyson's Galleria I will be sure to look into tickets right away. Next time Cirque De Soleil comes to Tyson's Galleria I would encourage folks look into attending. As an added bonus there are an assortment of restaurants close by making it an easy two part adventure with family or friends.

Usually you feel so rushed at these dinner/shows but we had plenty of time. The food was very good and there were choices that should have made everyone happy. I cannot say enough good things about this performance!! We absolutely enjoyed it. None of us had ever been to a Murder Mystery before so we were ready for something new! The 2 Cast members were amazing! They kept us entertained and laughing the entire time! At the intermission, they have coffee/tea and desert at the same time. We appreciated this because you're always too full to eat desert with dinner but this gave everyone plenty of time to be ready for the delightful carrot cake they provided. The 2 Stars also stood around after the event to talk to everyone and take pictures! I highly, highly recommend this event! What made it even more special was that I was able to take my 15-year-old also!

After that, I have to say things went off the rails a bit. For a start, this is the first "theatre" that had no stage. Not a small stage, no stage at all. We found ourselves, a group of 30-40 people crammed into a large room on the second floor with barely any room in July with AC so weak it was never below 76F. Then the show began. I was expecting a curtain to rise and a stage to appear, but sadly all the story and acting was done between the tables. I will say the acting ranged from surprisingly good to the obviously inispired acting of the audience members who decided to join in. The story was comedic and easy to follow, with references to Sherlock Holmes and even Indiana Jones. Sadly the heat and the terrible location without a stage made it hard to enjoy when the cast is constantly moving around. If they get a proper venue, I am sure they do wonderful things, but this was more like a test run. That I paid for.

The staff is super attentive and friendly. The acoustics and set up for shows (we were there for Marielle Kraft and Blu eyes) is excellent. I do kind of wish the seating area was a bit bigger and better situated for pairs of people-- it's one table of two and then three tables for six people--but that's a nitpick.

The zip line is pretty fun, even for adults. The staff are pretty helpful in explaining how things work and assist in putting on the harness and taking it off. The slide is also really fun, you get a mat to slide on and go down head-first on what seems a 90 degree plummet and land on an inflatable pillow. One thing I did see people struggling with is the anchoring point of the harness to the rock climbing rig. You gotta have some strength to properly rig it and kids often need assistance. In some of the reviews I read prior to visiting, people said it gets really busy on the weekends and the lines can really put a damper on the experience. The young lady at concession seemed like she was ready to go home! She clearly was in a horrible mood. I hope she is ok. The popcorn was subpar. And when we walked into the theater I tried ignoring all of the popcorn all over the floor coming in but it led to our seats that were filthy. I went to the bathroom to get paper towels to clean the seats off and it smelled like a truck stop, paper towels were all over the floor. It was bad. They really need to reassess what they are doing because the quality seems to have dropped a lot. I don't like leaving negative reviews but this has been our spot and would love for them to get it fixed.

However, the extremely loud music at the entrance and in several sets almost ruins it. Take ear plugs with you. The high volume of the music shouldn't be allowed for any age group unless you want to lose your hearing. Also, it is very dark in the woods and on the sets. So if you're afraid of the dark or walking in pitch black, don't go. This could be so much better.

I'm not really sure how some can say that this is the BEST trail in the DMV area, since there are…read moresome majorly scary trails in Maryland, but.... to each their own. I think that our crummy experience was mostly due to the group of children we were with. There had to be at least 20 (maybe 25-30) total in our trail group, including myself & 2 friends. Enough people that we couldn't all fit on the hay seats on our ride to the woods - we (the adults of the group) had to sit on the muddy floor. Too large for my taste, especially since everyone in this large group was about 12-13 years of age. Myself and the 2 friends who joined me... try about 20 years older than that! The kids were obnoxious, yelled at the leader (who does not speak to the group, merely takes you through the trail from one fright experience to the next) things like "Are they going to TOUCH ME?!"; "You're cute"; "How much longer?!"; "I have to pee!!"; ect ect. I even had a child latch onto my hoodie and almost choked me through many of the experiences as I was trying to walk ahead & she was shitting her pants. After one area, there was a character pretending to chase after some people. This caused a stampede with the youngsters. Mind you, we're in the woods... I got shoved around & almost tripped over branches. I had to use my "Teacher Voice" & tell them to chill out. That worked as well as can be expected. If it were possible, I would definitely want to try it again with a more adult group. I think then I'd have a real opportunity to actually get scared then! I encourage any of you adults out there to get a big group together & make sure you all go at one time. Otherwise, as soon as you pull in and see the large crowd... you will be able to pretty much sum it up yourself. This is an excellent kid drop-off place for parents. For $20, you can leave your kid there for like 4 hours. There's the trail, a DJ, dancing, a bonfire, paintball.... essentially, kid heaven. And I did NOT see parents accompanying them. I will give these guys (and gals) credit, although they are a church group, they certainly do a good job of making you forget that on your journey through the woods. Although the church doesn't look like it needs any more funding (HUGE & NEW!!), the organizations they support make me feel better about spending the $20 on a not-so-terrifying experience.

It was beautiful to see so many different and relatable actors up there, it made my heart so happy, & all the actors were incredibly talented with some real powerhouse voices. WOW! The stage was simplistic and perfect for the performance. The pit band was actually on stage where you could see them play & they did an amazing job as well as lighting and the rest of the crew. Due to the recent surge with the Covid Delta variant everyone was required to be in a mask but I appreciate the safety and concern for others. I was so thrilled to just be a part of this special occasion and wonderful performance! Way to break a leg Sterling Playmakers!
