It's free to go in but you do have to pay for the rides and food. Theres a few art/jewelry vendors that sells some cute accessories and the rest is mostly food and a whole carnival area with rides. Food is on the expensive side, I mean its everything greasy and oily imaginable under the sun. I mean yeah I can't lie deep fried Oreos is a must but theres fried cheesecake, fried reeces, fried snickers like anything you can think of. A small cup of beer is about $6 and food usually varies from $5-$12 depending on where you go. It is mostly tweens and alotta kids, but its just something fun to do and to get out. It does get crowded on Friday and Saturday nights but not overcrowded where you can barely walk. Not bad to get in for free its your discretion how much you want to spend.

And....it's costs $15 to get in. And $5 to park. So $20 bucks for the world's smallest fair. I went soon after the fair opened, and none of the rides were operating and only half the food vendors were open. What did I get for my $20? Very very little.

It's on the smaller side, but has exhibits that explore the history of the county in the civil war and revolutionary war periods. It also had an exhibit of artworks by local and county artists when we visited. The staff member there when we visited was really friendly and answered several questions we had when we walked around. It's a great introduction to the county, and I'm glad we stopped by - even though we only had time for a short visit!

Here are a few suggestions to make your experience the most enjoyable! 1. Remove any expectations of Cirque de Soleil. This is NOT your traditional Cirque de Soleil show. I have seen three Cirque shows, 2 in Vegas and one at the National Harbor in DC. This show is not on that level, it is however a nice upgraded circus filled with acrobats, water and lots of of oooh's and aaahhhs. We had two children and two adults. The kids are 5 and 7 and the entire time their eyes and mouths were open wide. Besides, you get what you pay for..and the last few Cirque shows I saw I sure didnt get the tickets for as much as a discount as I got these! 2. Arrive early! Especially if you have discounted tickets. We brought our tickets on GoldStar and there are two lines that will form. One to switch your printed confirmations for a wristband and one to actually get in. Call me a super planner, but we arrived in the area at 5pm. Had dinner at Red Robin, got over to the ticket trailer at exactly 6:30pm (wristtbands available 2 hours before the show) and then waited in the car for a few and got in line at 7:15pm (doors opens 1 hour before the show. They were a little delayed (about 5 mins) but it wasnt bad. Yes, its a lot of waiting, BUT we were the 3rd family in line and had front row blue level (the middle level) seating. Remember seats are 1st come, 1st serve. Although the tent is very intimate and there really are no bad seats, we still wanted to pick the seats we wanted without effort. Gold level ticket holders have a special VIP line and get to go in before everyone else. We had blue levels and our seats were fine. 3. Go to a later show. The heat comments freaked me out! We even saw a woman come out of the 5:30pm show as we waiting drenched in sweat. Our show however was very comfortable and cool and I'm thinking because the sun had gone down. It was warm, but not unbearable hot. So if you can go to a show a night. It will help! 4. Bring cash. The price for food was reasonable--$5 slushy, $5 funnel cakes, $3 large popcorns, etc. Not bad! But they only take cash so plan ahead of time. Also- we didn't do this, but bring your own snacks! They did not check our person and a few bags of popcorn in a ziplock and juices and water in a big purse could save you some money! 5. Sit back and enjoy! With a little planning this is can be a very enjoyable show. The show was long! We didn't get out until 11:15pm, BUT the show was so captivating that we didnt even realize that the time had gone by. It really is a great show!

Milltown Haunt is only in its second year and is only going to get better. The actors there really…read moremake the haunt. They are all highly skilled and entertaining. The corn maze called Tricksters Hollow is new and feels like could be added on to in future years. At one point you get to a fork in the road and can pick Trick or Treat. Our group split up and it sounds like Treat side had way more scenes and actors on it. I went Trick side and came across one actor. "The Void" is a black out maze. It had the longest line to get in, but my group had a blast with it. There's no scare actors or anything in there. Just trying to make your way through a maze in the pitch black. "Thorne House" is their bread and butter. Lots of detailed scenes with some great haunt actors. Overall we had a great time. I think this place is only going to get better as time goes on and I will definitely be back to check it out.

As a haunt actor and horror enthusiast this haunt was alright. Certainly nothing incredibly special but not the worst either. I've been to this haunt twice and some of the actors are incredible but a select few lack some professionalism... (getting way to close and touching people when it's a normal night at a no touch haunt). There doesn't seem to be any kind of overarching plot or theme to the haunt itself and the midway is one of the most boring I've been in. If you don't want to spend a bunch of money to throw some axes the only other thing to do is interact with the cue characters. The characters are cool to talk to but closer to the end of the night most of them dropped their characters. Last time I was there I also noticed that there wasn't any kind of food for sale either, only merch. They did have drinks, though. The little fires they have also do very little for heat and it can get cold fast. The haunt itself didn't have as much variety as I had hoped in terms of scenes and characters, especially for a mostly indoor haunt. Most of the characters were either flat, too similar to other characters, or not very interesting. A few really stuck out but for the most part the really great characters were in the midway when more talent was needed in the haunt itself. All this being said I'm being incredibly picky because of my background and if you go to this haunt with no prior knowledge you'll still have a good time. We still had fun but it wasn't what I was hoping for with what I paid. However, if you're looking for the most bang for your buck there are better haunts in the area. I won't name names just in case

Oatlands is a beautiful house that merges the history of the 18th-century Carter owners and the…read more20th-century Eustises, who donated the house to the public. The house was beautifully decorated at the holidays. The tour guide seemed not to like or want to focus on the history of the house or the objects inside unless asked. It felt like she was bringing a lot of personal biases to her perspective, which made the experience a lot less enjoyable than it could have been otherwise. She took us through the first-floor rooms and then announced the top floor is self-guided only. At the admission price, that detracted from it being a better experience. The National Trust for Historic Preservation is the new manager of the site, and they bring a historical interpretation to the site that some visitors may not find as valuable as the tours given by the previous volunteer staff. There is a garden, a greenhouse, and a nice-sized gift shop. It's a beautiful house, and I did like getting some information on the inhabitants and the long history of the property. The presentation itself needed improvement, but the site was worth preserving.

While I had attended a Cirque De Soleil in Vegas a couple of years ago it was hubby's first. Thankfully I agreed to go to this show. It was a much more enjoyable experience. The area is small enough that you see the performers up close. While the stage was smaller the up close factor made it awesome. I whole heartedly recommend attending this sort of Cirque De Soleil performance. The next time another such performance comes to Tyson's Galleria I will be sure to look into tickets right away. Next time Cirque De Soleil comes to Tyson's Galleria I would encourage folks look into attending. As an added bonus there are an assortment of restaurants close by making it an easy two part adventure with family or friends.
