This is copied over from a special Yelp event review:…read more A brilliant event! Magic over Zoom? Yes, it is not only possible but Adam Stone did it flawlessly. It was far closer to an in person experience than I would have ever imagined. Cheers to Yelp on 16 and picking some great virtual experiences to help celebrate. It would be great to see Adam in perform in person someday! ...back to reviewing here. Magic is not something you would normally consider possible as a virtual experience. The environment is too controlled and obviously you can only see whatever the camera is pointing at which isn't much in a 3D world. However, the way Adam interacts with his audience actually translates across virtual bounds! Thus, like I said above for the special Yelp event review... it would be great to see Adam perform in person someday!

It was soo much fun and to think Adam was sitting right on the other side of the camera doing tricks right in front of our eyes- am sure Steph was not an accomplice ( or was she ...) - she could not have been since he picked out people from the viewers too ;) First the tik tok, where he had guessed what the lady would start her game with, then the hypnosis, and later the card game, and the money game....wish compounding money was just that easy !!!!! Adam was fantastic and so easy going. Anyone could see a bday friend in him. The best was the Yelp paper cutting he made in the end, which reflected Sweet 16....Wow ! unbelievable. It was very entertaining and a little too much that I carried it to the next day and did not want to work.... I got myself a 3 day weekend in my head ! Magic!! ha ha ha Thank you Yelp and Adam. There was not a single dull moment in th whole hour. I took couple videos but they all got corrupted- maybe Adam jinxed it to keep it from piracy ... again, who says magic does not exist !!!!

Her portraits were good enough that we kept them to decorate our office! She was very talented, taking about 15 minutes to do really funny yet accurate paintings of our "best features". Sue painted both individuals and couples and even included highlights such as my boss and his numbers, and his wife and her shopping. She certainly captured my spiky buzzcut correctly! During that time, only about 7-8 drawings were done and there were people in line for additional drawings. The artist did not know what the charges were for two more hours but I agreed and subsequently learned that during the drawing sessions with each party, significant time was taken for the artist to try to sell his own personal products to my party guests, and they were all shown a book to purchase. The following day the credit card was charged an additional $370.00 for TWO HOURS without any additional invoicing, and only a total of approximately 12 drawings were done during this 5 hour period. I brought it to management's attention and they told me too bad, so sad. The artist is well liked and they haven't had other complaints. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and extremely disappointing treatment of their customer. They should be embarrassed!

I recognize that the Magic Duel takes huge pride in 5 star reviews on Yelp, which I deeply respect. But I did wish that we had seen the show in a different venue. I am no stage expert, but lights and sound do matter a lot in delivery of a magic show for a skeptic like me, going because the significant other loves magic shows. With better lighting, things would have been more "magical" (thinking bottles.) I was also surprised that a bubble artist, as good as she was in her profession, was considered a magician.
