Five-star hole-in-the-wall slice shop. Always pass by on 347 but going the wrong direction, we were in the area, and the slices were balanced and crispy. The counter service was friendly and prices were fair. We'll be back next time we're southwest of Spuntinos.

Excellent pizza and quality service. The owner was incredibly nice with a great sense of humor (he could tell we were from California). The pizza was exactly how New York style pizza should be--thin, greasy, cheesy, hot and delicious. Thank you, Ciro's, for a great experience. We look forward to our next visit!

Really great pizza being in Smithtown! From the crust, to the cheese, it was all great. Not very oily either. Can't wait to go back. Garlic knots are like mini sizes. It was tasty too. Service was good and prices are well worth it. Service: 5/5 Food: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 4/5

We were in Long Island for the weekend and tried the two best reviewed NY-style slices in the area that we could find on Yelp - Ciro's and Paradise Pizza in Commack. Both were good, but Ciro's was the clear winner. The sauce was sweeter and not as bold, the cheese was gooier, and the crust was a tad thinner. It just tasted much better overall. I really, really enjoyed it. I am not a New Yorker and have not tried Di Fara or Famous Ray's or Scarr's but of the NY slices I've had, this one is the best. I can't imagine another place making better NY-style pizza, but some supposedly exist because I've never seen Ciro's on any "Best of NY" lists. I've been dreaming about this pizza since trying it and if I ever find myself in LI again, this will be my first stop off the plane.

The service and servers are incredible. They make you feel right at home. Warm, welcoming, and attentive. We ordered the special sweet and spicy calamari to start, and the lobster fra diavolo special for dinner. Mom is allergic to shrimp so they swapped that for scallops because she loves those. Meal was delicious and although I'd love to post photos, let's just say, the camera did not eat first unfortunately lol. Ambiance is quaint and family friendly. Incredible job by the team here. Hats off. The owner was walking around on a Sunday as well, saying hello and checking to make sure customers were taken care of. Will be back again.

Although I repeated my order twice when I got there, there were three times the amount of food that I ordered. I paid by credit card so it wasn't until I looked at my receipt to realize that ordering a sandwich and two small rolls cost me $50. When I questioned it, there was an abundance of food that I did not order. They did absolutely nothing. My questioning, they just walked away from me and I walked out with enough food that I threw out because not one person can eat that much food. Never again. Go elsewhere. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to get a slice of pizza.

It's beautifully pillowy with a crisp undercarriage. It's perfectly oily without being greasy. It's (IMO) too saucy which tends to make it a little sloppy but it's a balanced sauce of sweet and tart with just the right amount of cheese. Their regular pie is a benchmark pie for Long Island pizza. It's just right. No notes. The chicken parm and meatball parm heroes are also benchmark sandwiches. I judge all heroes against theirs. Personally, I prefer the chicken parm, but it's a 1A/1B situation. There's no wrong choice. My only complaint would be that I wish they were a little bit larger.

It means buyer beware. But when it comes to dishes, you might have noticed there is no pasta with my Chicken Parm. That's because the Chicken Parm is $32 freaking dollars if you order it with pasta. The owner and staff seem super friendly, but I have never in my life seen this price for Chicken Parm and pasta. I told the owner that and he said it's $16 and change for the Chicken Parm and $15 and change for the pasta. If you don't know, after alcohol, an Italian restaurant's biggest profit margin is pasta. For this restaurant, it might be number one. Pasta is incredibly cheap to make so the markup here is beyond insane. The price for pasta is so high that they almost definitely miss the ideal price point. In other words, this price will drive down orders and keep customers away. At a lower price point, it will drive more groups of people spending more money. Aside from that, the food is excellent and I still recommend this place. It really is great food. Just don't order pasta.

We made a quick pit stop here before heading out to Long Beach to catch the sunset and some live music on a Friday night. Let me just say, this place absolutely hits the mark, whether you're grabbing a pie to go or taking your time and soaking in the lively, authentic pizzeria vibe. The ambiance is effortlessly inviting. When you step in, you're greeted by the smell of fresh baked dough, gooey cheese, and a friendly crew behind the counter. Even though we were in a rush, you could tell Saint James is the kind of place where locals gather, families grab an easy dinner, and pizza lovers unite over a hot, cheesy slice. The walls are filled with classic memorabilia, and there's just something homey and vibrant about the space. Now to the star of the show: the pizza! We ordered a classic cheese pie right from their Yelp page (super easy process, by the way! All the menu options are laid out with prices and descriptions, and online ordering was a breeze). The crust was that perfect balance of thin, crisp on the bottom, with just enough chew to make each bite satisfying. The cheese was plentiful, gooey, and rich, with a tangy tomato sauce that tasted homemade. We enjoyed our pie oceanside at the beach, and even after the drive it held up perfectly. No sogginess or limp crust! I can only imagine how fantastic their pies are fresh from the oven in-house. Next time, I'm grabbing a seat and trying the pasta, too.

They had a creative drink menu and had many creative food options. As I'm not a huge fan or red sauce, I was happy to see that I could get any of their meals with the vodka sauce.
