I will admit, my review is biased: I work for them (as a delivery driver.) But Tony would never ask me to leave a review, this is of my own volition. This pizzeria has, by far, the best pizza I've had since I knew what pizza was. The garlic knots are world class and award worthy for sure. Their dinners are immaculate, especially the classic chicken parm- if I were on death row, that with a side of knots is my last meal without hesitation. Small shops in crummy locations are oft overlooked, by I implore you to keep an eye out for Ciro's. Absolutely amazing. -And not to toot my own horn, but my fellow drivers and I take great care of our deliveries so forget those stereotypes frozen ole Digiorno put in your head- we're the best, and we're fast as can be. 10/10 pizzeria, best on Long Island without a doubt. read more

Best pizza in Long Island period!! I've been here countless times, grew up in Hauppauge. Pizza is my favorite food and you could probably say I am a rather harsh critic. I've been to places that are better, but they are only in the city. These days Ciro's is out of the way for me, half an hour drive, but it's still worth it. I come here whenever I can. You can taste the love put into this pizza. Crust is crispy and portions are generous. I'm not sure when it was founded, but it's been here longer than 35 years I believe. Fun fact, I worked here for a day back when I was 15 or so and I quit only because I didn't like mopping floors. Too free spirited and lazy I guess, good times. When to a friend's house last night in Smithtown for a Playdate with the kids and some drinks and we decided to order some pizza. Yupppppp this is what an exciting Saturday night is nowadays. My friend ordered a regular pie, a Sicilian pie and garlic knots from Ciros pizza. I'm from Oceanside area so I never tried Ciros before and I love to do pizza reviews like I'm with Barstool sports. Sooo Anyways, the pizza and knots at Ciros were prob the best I had in a long time. The slices were light and airy, not too oily, the crust was perfect, not to hard, just the perfect amount of dough. And that also goes for the garlic know. Perfect size, not to big or to doughy like some knots can be. I hope when I visit my friend in Smithtown again we order from Ciro's again. I am a pizza snob so after reading all the great reviews I just had to try Ciro's. Nice clean establishment with a few benches / tables to sit down at both inside and out with great friendly service. I think most of the reviews hit the nail on the head as I ordered two plain slices and a Sicilian. I'm a sucker for a good thin crispy crust as many reviews raved about and although it was thin, it would not stand up to a fold. Maybe it was just one of those days... Everyone has them. For me the stand out winner was by far the perfect Sicilian slice. Next time I visit that will for sure be my "go to". read more

Best pizza on Long Island!! When you buy it by the slice - the slices are HUGE. Greasy, but still has a crunchy crust. I actually find the individual slices more enjoyable than when we've gotten a pie. Maybe because the pie is sitting for a bit before being eaten at home. Whatever the reason, we usually get slices to stay. I love all NY pizza, but no other pizzeria compares in my opinion. I'd go every week if I wasn't watching my waistline, lol! This pizza is fantastic! The basic Neapolitan slice is great. The crust is crisp with the perfect amount of chew. Possibly the best crust I've ever had. Tasty tomato sauce without that dull straight out of the can flavor found at too many pizzerias across the island. Perfect amount of cheese finishes the slice off nicely. Pizza drips a lot of oil so grab some napkins! I also had a slice of the buffalo chicken pizza. Huge chunks of chicken lovingly coated the entire slice. Not those little itty bitty pieces other places typically put. (When I get a pizza with toppings, I don't want to see barren unloved regions with only a small oasis of chicken providing a respite from the lonely desert that is the rest of the pizza. The Pizza is great me and my family love it. Location is perfect for me only 3min away. That being said service can get very busy at the location and they tend to forget orders A LOT! Which I understand it gets busy things get screwed up but what really ticks me off is when they tell you "you didn't call here" even after you show them the call history from your phone. I mean wth how much proof do you need. Happened twice where I would call tell them my order, give them my name and they politely tell me "ok, 15min" I show up exactly the time they tell me to show I would wait inline until my turn I get to counter and tell them picking up an order for so and so. They look at their paperwork and sometimes make you wait a while and then the famous words that make me twitch "you didn't call here" I tell them yes I did I show them the call history from my phone and nope nada "you didn't call here". The best pizza I have ever tasted on Long Island. The crust of a regular pie is very thin, the toppings of cheese and tomato sauce just penetrate the dough and saturate it with flavor. When I discovered Ciro's almost two years ago, it was truly a serendipitous experience. I was meeting friends at neighboring Tap & Barrel (in the same strip, off of 347), and was ravenous. To ward off the hanger, my hubby ran over to Ciro's and grabbed two slices of the Neapolitan pie. I took one bite, and knew that it wasn't just my current hunger state that was singing the Hallelujah chorus; this is some seriously heavenly pizza! The slices are gigantic, it's always fresh and hot (I don't think I've ever head a reheated slice), and the cheese/sauce/dough flavors and textures are perfect. Ciro's is now our favorite pizzeria on the island, and we've been back many times since. Ordering a full pie to go couldn't be easier, and literally takes less than 30 seconds... and it's always ready in fifteen minutes. Talk about efficiency! No bonus points for ambiance or decor, but when the food tastes like this, all your focus will be on your taste buds and you won't even notice. I seriously am not sure why all the great reviews, in all honesty. We got a cheese pizza and a pepperoni pizza as take out here and the grease nearly ate through the bottom of the box. This unpretentious, understated hole-in-the-wall serves up some of the best pizza on Long Island. I'm serious. Ciro's is a classic New York slice shop and they are brilliant at it. My wife and I live WAY out east, but we always love any excuse to go "up Island" if it gives us an excuse to pop in for a couple of slices and a fountain soda. The reviews simply did not match my experience. My first visit ever to this establishment which reminded me of an old school pizzeria, made me look even more forward to the simple order of 2 pepperoni slices I was going to order. The display of the pizza looked solid and I assume they have had better moments but not today. The staff was a bit reserved, which is perfectly fine if the product stands out enough but instead the slices I received were loaded with dripping oil falling off the top of the slices. The slices couldn't even be lifted with a hand because the saturation of oil into the cheese and crust caused the slice to disintegrate and break apart. The taste was average. Overall I'm pretty sure these guys have made better pizza and I'm assuming this was an off day. I will try again and review at that time but for now it was not a good first impression. Still worth the try...just keep my review in mind. read more

All in all, it was an average slice, nothing bad by any means, but nothing too exciting either. We ordered a plain cheese pie to go. $15.50 for a regular pie was a little pricey considering how small the pie was. Read the other reviews claiming how large the slices were and was shocked when I got home to see such a small pie for that price. Not a big fan when places use bigger pies for slice but shrink down the size when you buy a pie to go. Next time I'll have to go with slices instead based off the other reviews. However, at 5:30 on a Saturday, the slices looked like they have been sitting around all day so they didn't look too encouraging. Using the Barstool method, one bite everyone knows the rules, I gave it a 6.8 and my wife had it at a 7 (rookie score). It was nothing more than an average LI pizza place. No frills, old school looking place inside. Staff was very friendly. Pizza was good, however definitely not worth the price for this size of the pie when you can get more for your money from comparable places. read more

Don't eat at this place. We were regular customers until today. My lady happened to ask if the slices we were ordering were of the fresh pie that just came out. He then proceeded to tell her to never ask that question again in front of customers...we WERE customers. As I caught onto the conversation I asked what the issue was in which he responded nastily. At this point because of our treatment I said, you can keep the pizza we will go elsewhere. He then proceeded to tell me to go fuck myself. On the way out he also added "yeah go get another tattoo". What the relevance is I'm unsure other than we were being judged based upon the way we look. We have always been nothing but polite and courteous. We wont be back. Don't waste your time going here.
