I can't believe I haven't written a review about one of my favorite local No Frills spots. The Food speaks for itself for its delicious, sauce/cheese/topping- they don't cheap out here! They're cheese slices good but they're real hidden jam is the upside down slice and I'm not a "sauce person" but give me that square pie upside down all day long... garlic, knots or flavorful and stink up your car so that's a good sign that there's actually garlic on there. The our zones are incredible. They make a really damn good calzone. I picked up a rice bowl for my husband and he's never had one from here and all is yours so I will post about that in an updated review. They recently did renovations, but still kept that pizzeria feel where everybody tries to get all bougie and stuff. They did the upgrades necessary, but still kept it quintessential to what a pizza place should be. Now down to the service and yes, the food matters primarily, but the service does matter if you get bad service! You will never get bad service here! The staff are so friendly they know everybody by name and what they essentially order! It's a family run business and the father is amazing but these two kids really shine above anybody I've ever seen in customer service with a restaurant! Nick and Lucas are incredible kids/man that know how to make a dining experience feel like you're at home! These incredible guys have managed to know their customer base learn everything about their customers and provide you with an instant experience asking about how your day at work is that whatever job you work and it's not just for me I see they do it with everybody and that's really what makes you feel like you're at home when you go to Albert's I'm super proud to support this business because the food is great, the service is great and unlike Olive Garden when you're here, you're actually family If I got the worst slice of pizza of my life, which I never have, I would still give a 4/5 stars just for the experience, but the pizza is a 10 out of 10!! This is a good little pizza place. The inside is nice, it's clean and they have a few small tables if you want to sit to eat. Service was quick and friendly. Pricing was fair Definitely mom & pop pizzeria vibe in here, which is nice. I got a chicken bacon ranch slice and a sweet chili chicken. Both were good and I enjoyed how they were a little crispy on the bottom. The chili chicken was a particular treat because I haven't seen this speciality slice elsewhere. My wife got a plain slice. She said it was fine (not her favorite plain slice around, but solid for the quick lunch we were grabbing). I'd grab slices from here again! read more

At this point in time living in Ronkonkoma, I've come to know where I like to get my pizza from around the area. There's my go-to spot, but a good runner up would be Albert's Pizza, which has become the occasional alternative option in the pizza realm for my wife and I. You see we've had Albert's a handful of times now (most recently last night) and we've found their pizza to definitely be tasty and worthy of return visits. Their recent-ish hype came from their positive message pizza boxes back during Covid along with an owner switch and a consistently delicious upside pizza (a la L&B Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn). All are fine and dandy, but it's the pizza itself that should bring you back and that last factor (the upside down slice) is definitely a big reason why we return. That and they have a few deals on the Slice app that are worthy of checking out (we've done this in the past a couple of times). Though for last night it was just slices we were looking for and so around 6 o'clock or so we found Alberts to have a somewhat decent variety of slice options in their semi-small and straightforward pizza interior. My wife and I chose to each get an upside slice and then we split a fried eggplant slice, a sausage and broccoli rabe slice, and a spinach pinwheel. The worker behind the counter was very friendly and offered to cut each piece in half for us to more easily share. What was also kind of awesome was the selection of Alberts branded sodas in the fridge. We got a vanilla cream bottle to split and once our pizza was warmed up we made our way home to dive in. Starting with the slices, they honestly were all pretty great. The upside down slice is square in shape and had a good sauce to it (as it usually does) while that sausage and broccoli rabe slice was meaty and a little bitter as it should be. The eggplant slice was fantastic and, though really nothing out of the ordinary, the spinach pinwheel was tasty enough. Oh and that soda? Perhaps a little sweet, but definitely had a vanilla flavor to it which balanced out the meal. Overall, Alberts is worthy of four stars and perhaps it can get that fifth (it's close!). They have some quality choices and friendly staff which makes them a formidable pizza spot in the Ronkonkoma area and for sure a favorite. read more

We've been looking for the best pizza going to a different location every week Albert's Pizza in Ronkonkoma is the winner in the Shop Rite shopping center. A full 18" pie, nice crust, sauce and cheese. My go to place every week. It's better than Ginos in Ronkonkoma. Measure pizzas from other locations! read more

I ordered a chicken mozz roasted pepper hero, and this is what I received. ONE VERY TINY slice of chicken, ONE slice of cheese, a couple of peppers... Very stingy and very underwhelming. It was mostly bread. I was shocked by the 1 tiniest piece of chicken!! Not worth the price, and you'll still be hungry after. They're also not great at following instruction. Ignored my delivery instructions and went to the wrong part of the home and disturbed another tenant which was frustrating. I asked for well done pizza and it was actually extremely lightly cooked. I also asked for balsamic dressing for the hero which they forgot. Despite not being well done, their pizza was delicious though. My advice is to stick to the pizza and maybe order for pickup :) read more

i ordered take out. when I received my order after an hour and a half. which when ordered said 15 to 30 minutes.My one item was had the wrong sauce on it the other item was burnt both items were cold. I called to complain and was told they were busy. so after a bit of discussion. They said they would refund my money. This happened on June 1st. it is now June 5th at 10 pm and still no refund. definitely would not recommend this pizzis place. Boy was I wrong about this place. Too busy or they don't care about customers delivery requests. Why say they can take instructions when they really don't care to. Just call when you are here and we'll come up to get the order. I guess that was too difficult to do because they scared my mil by banging on the door. She's very old and was so nervous she went down a flight of stairs that she hasn't been down in years. We were terribly worried for her and then we get a call that delivery is here. My husband was so upset about his mother that he told the guy Michael that he really messed up. With that Michael asked if he was a tough guy and that we shouldn't use them anymore. Alberts has been a go-to for me for a very long time. The staff at the Ronkonkoma location is always very professional, polite, and friendly. The restaurant is always clean and fast-paced. The upside-down pizza is on point every time i order it, however, I have recently been venturing out, getting different dishes and all are equally as good. My favorite part of going to Alberts is that their pizza sauce still tastes the same 25 years later. read more

I have, like all of us, been to many pizza places. Especially on Long Island. This is my favorite spot. The pizza is different from everywhere else. It's absolutely delicious. My kids love it and they don't normally like "square" pizza. The sauce is fantastic. I always order extra because it heats up really well for leftovers. If you haven't tried this place yet, please do. It's run by a young man and his family, I believe. I live in Pennsylvania but everytime we come to visit my parents, we stop here for some pies. The pizza is really good, but the service is kind of weird? Placed an order for delivery and gave my card number over the phone. The girl said "your card declined because you have insufficient funds in your account" ??? I chuckled a bit and said that's what the machines telling you? That I have no money in my account? It's a credit card... I gave her the number again and she said oh this time it went thru... it went through because you entered the number incorrectly the first time, not because I had "no money"... also the soda I ordered with it was already opened, the seal was broken and the liquid was below the expiration date... their food is great but they have some awkward people there read more

ordered upsidedown pizza 2/27 extra grated cheese on top. always get it that way for years, even when new owners took over. when my order came. it was not what i ordered. i called and said i wanted upside down its not what i received. i was told well you got the sauce its on the bottom,and hung up. I'm 80 cant travel ,rely on delivery. also fixed income i don't order as often because of the price. i also got charged for extra mozzarella cheese i didn't want. always waited to get my upside down pizza i"m so disappointed read more

If there was Yelp in the 1990's then you would read my 5 Star review as a teenager and it would still ring true today. This place is delicious and every time I eat from here, it brings me back to when I was younger. It is one thing when a place is good....but there is a big difference when a place is consistently good for that long of a time. And that is why I still go to this place to this day. They have good food here in general but my go to is their famous square slice with the sauce on top. It is amazing to be honest. Crispy on the bottom and the crust. Seasoned red sauce on the top of quality cheese peeking through. I also love that you can donate a pie to others and they put them up and if you fit the description....you get a pie! Such a cool thing to do for the neighborhood folks that eat here and everyone needs help sometimes or has a bad day and what tastes better than free pizza? The atmosphere here is great and the owner is nice and friendly when you come through. This used to be my go-to pizza place, used to always recommend it to anyone who asked. Just my opinion, but the quality and taste doesn't seem to be as consistent as it used to be, while prices seem to have increased, and I can't justify coming here anymore. To me, the food doesn't taste as fresh as it used to. Pricing also widely differs from what is on their menu - online menu shows the family super saver as $33.50 but the clerks at the restaurant charge and confirm that it is actually $40.00. If you want to use a credit card, it's 3.5% additional on to your bill - which nobody tells you about, at all. I had to notice it myself on my receipt myself after the fact. read more

I remember as a kid there was a coupon in the local newspaper for a family pizza deal and it was out family tradition to get Albert's pizza on Friday. What happened to my favorite pizza place? Was scared when I heard there was a new owner. Ordered the square pie and a round pie. Was very disappointed with my order tonight. Sauce taste the same but the crust was awful. Very soggy. No crunch at all. I think they forgot the cheese too! I was never a fan of the round pie but somehow it got worse. There is definitely something wrong with the dough. Please, please, please get things worked out soon. I have been a lifelong fan of Albert's Pizza and can't believe it is gone. Best pizza in the area! No contest. The sauce is delish, tastes like real tomatoes. And the cheese is real mozz, not that crap oily stuff most pizza places use. And the crust is crispy with a slight chew. New owners Nick and Tony have really spruced the place up too! You can really tell these guys care about making great pizza. This pizza locations of Albert's does not need our business. On Friday they tell you if the want your business. This past Friday I call to order a pizza and I was on my way there to place an order by phone and two times they would lt it ring and hang up.I waited till i got out in front of the store to see if it were busy but a saw was one man waiting at the counter, so I call again and each time they let it ring for a minute they hang up on you, so I drove off to Arby's to get an awesome Roast Beef sandwich. Albert's is getting to big so they pick and choose who they want to do business with. They prices have gone up and still thats not good enough for them. From now on the can KMA. read more

I was intrigued by Albert's Pizza after Brian R. said his wife loves their pizza because they don't use canned mushrooms (um... what?). I was futher intrigued when I saw that worstpizza.com wrote a rave review for Albert's (http://www.worstpizza.com/2008/08/alberts-pizza-ronkonkoma-long-island-new-york-best-pizza/). They're known for their Upside-Down Slice, so that's what I had. The crust was excellent, and the sauce was smooth and sweet. BUT the size of the slice was a joke-- so small. My dad had a regular slice, he said it was good but also thought it was too small. We didn't feel any different before eating the pizza and after eating the pizza. Be prepared to order multiple slices, or a whole pie. We also tried their Broccoli & Cheddar Stuffed Knots-- meh. The other pizzas looked like they were sitting out for a while. Service was apathetic. Un-canned mushrooms aren't going to get me to come back. If they adjust the size of their slices-- I'll think about it. read more

Firstly, my order arrived 2 hours late because the restaurant "doesn't use Yelp" and yet, I was able to place my order on here. They obviously need some assistance in order fulfillment and organization. When I called they didn't even apologize. Only after my husband's call did they actually acknowledge the screw up. So sad to see such a great pizzeria go down. Ordered a square pie that definitely did not have cheese on it and called to tell them. Guy that answered was incredibly rude and said we need to come down and show him as he did not believe us. Go down and guy comes from the back wanting "to take it outside" so now because you guys can't make a pizza you threaten to fight. It's obvious from the other reviews there's some issues. Alberts pizza has great food for a great price. 2 pies a 2 liter soda dozen knots and order of wings for 36 bucks after tax ... what a bargain. I recently tried an Alzone off there Alzone menu the hot wing blue and it was awesome always ask to hook it up with the garlic butter sauce its a nice touch. The staff is very friendly knowing all the regulars on a first name basis. Overall i give alberts two big thumbs up good job guys looking forward to trying your new dessert the Oreo Alzone. read more

Always amazing and reliable no matter how busy it is. I've ordered from Albert's for over 20 years and it's a go-to place for my Italian take out or if I want to stop in for a quick bite. We have been going to Alberts since it was located in their first location on Portion Road about 30 years ago! Since our first visit - the owners Rich and Brian have welcomed us into their restaurant and have been super-friendly to Me and My Daughters who were very young and not so well behaved back then! lol. My Daughters have grown up and became Adult customers here now! We ALL love the pizza and dinners here - especially their upside down pie - which no other pizzeria makes! We get food delivered from Alberts at least once a week and cater ALL our family parties from them also! We wouldn't go anywhere else for our pizza & takeout. We also love that we can eat there too if we want and chit-chat with Rich & Brian who we have kept in touch with thru the years! read more

We moved to Houston a few years ago but everytime we come back we have a list of food we need go eat and Alberts upside down pizza is on there! You wouldn't think putting the sauce on top makes a difference, but it does. Definitely recommend it! The garlic knots and pepperoni rolls are great too. read more
