It seems like a place for the elderly and you know what? I like it a lot. The food was great, the place is clean and that includes the restroom and they have a projector playing. I'll visit again......

Paella Valenciana

Circulo Espanol has an Amazing menu which has a side for english and Spanish. The Fried calamari is fresh, and the Veal Milanese was crispy and juicy. My father had Paella Valenciana, he describes it as "Delicious." Overall we had an amazing dining experience!

Highly recommend this location if you want to feel like you're in Spain! Huge portions, lovely Spaniard beers.. must try- the homemade Desserts!

Side of potatoes that comes with the seafood stew

I found this place on yelp because my dad likes paella and I know he has not had a good one in a while. This restaurant is more of a party hall than a restaurant but the service was extremely friendly and the food was delicious. The restaurant opens at 12 and that's when I made the reservation so there was literally no one there except us. However, I half hour in some elderly people came in and took to two tables to play dominoes. What's that about? I'm guessing it is sort of a community place which is nice. I had a free glass of wine with a yelp check-in but the manager was kind enough to offer everyone a glass. I felt bad wasting it because we aren't really wine drinkers and no one drank it. In hindsight, I should've just declined but it was difficult to communicate with our waitress because her English wasn't that great. She was attentive an extremely nice but mostly we had to speak with the manager in regards to the menu items. He was extremely friendly and and all-around good manager, the kind that makes you feel comfortable and welcome. The paellas were made to order and executed extremely well. My seafood stew was delicious, perfectly cooked plump clams and mussels and the broth... the broth I can drink right out of the bowl. Perfectly seasoned, garlicky, buttery but not too oily. They didn't skimp on the seafood either. We pretty much ate a little more than half our entrées and took the rest home for dinner. If I ever needed a place to throw a small party, I think this is a great place. Very spacious and the prices extremely reasonable. I'll definitely be back for the seafood stew again!

Belly dancer

This is a wonderful cultural gem. The atmosphere reminded me of my trip to Spain three years ago. My friends and I were the only non-Spanish guests there, but it was fun. We tried different tapas - chorizo, patas bravas, jamon-cheese plate and octopus with complimentary bread and washed it all down with red sangria. All the tapas were yummy. We also had the seafood paella. Big portions at fair prices. It was our friend's bday, so we did a Yelp check in for a free glass of wine for the bday celebrant, and our server actually gave each of us a complimentary glass of wine. Our server also gave us a free after dinner drink, which It tasted like Irish bailey. I don't know if they regularly serve that drink after dinner, but it was a nice gesture. The belly dancing performance was a lot of fun and colorful.

I got a cockroach on my food. Really disgusting.

I have been here many times and I really liked this place until today. We were having lunch and we found out a COCKROACH on our food. I will never be back, and I'm kind of sad for it.

The food is appalling. My paella tasted primarily of low tide. Surly, unhappy staff. Many flies.

The table next to us turned over quickly. The Shishito margarita was excellent. I could not believe how clearly the flavor came through. Server guided us well to the right number of plates none of which disappointed, and even saw we needed more bread for the leftover sauces, as well as guiding me to an excellent Manzanilla Sherry. Tight, packed, and energetic, not a place for an intimate date, rather a place to eat well, talk heartily, and enjoy good food.

I wanted to like this place, because I love Spanish tapas, but unfortunately my experience was…read moredisappointing. I'm reluctant to judge the restaurant too harshly because perhaps we caught them on an off night--we arrived about an hour and a half before the kitchen closed--but the temperature of nearly every dish was consistently overlooked. We ordered bacon-wrapped dates, croquettes, meatballs, shrimp in aioli, and broccolini. The croquettes were hot, the dates were hot on the inside but cold outside, and the meatballs were noticeably cool. The shrimp, which I would expect to arrive hot with the oil bubbling, was completely cold (and overly salted). The broccolini was even colder. When I asked our waitress whether the broccolini was supposed to be hot or cold, she said hot. It was so cold to the touch that it seemed as though it had come straight from the refrigerator. I didn't send the dishes back because I was in the middle of a conversation, wasn't sure what to expect, and kept hoping the next dish would be better. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasantly cozy. It's lively but not overwhelmingly loud for dining with people you know. The portions are small, but that's part of the tapas experience. Maybe we caught them on a bad night, and perhaps this is a great neighborhood spot for locals. But based on my experience, once was enough.

It was incredibly loud, especially by the front, but the inside is very cozy and appreciated that the menu has pictures of every dish. We started with the shishito peppers which were perfectly cooked and seasoned. For mains, we got the octopus and grilled skirt steak which were both phenomenal. The steak was juicy and the fries were perfectly crispy. The mashed potatoes paired so nicely with the octopus which was grilled perfectly. Would definitely come back at a less busy/loud hour!

Though they didn't serve the sprite-infused red wines I enjoyed in Spain, they did serve white sangrias, which were light, sweet, and very enjoyable. The toasted bread with tomatoes was bright and summery. The grilled asparagus was cooked wonderfully al dente, with a char that added a nice smoky flavor against the clean taste of the drizzled olive oil. The beef skewers were well seasoned and fatty. While the food was Spanish, the prices certainly were not! It was a tad pricey. There wasn't anything below $13 for their small bites. Nonetheless, the food was good, the service prompt, and the outdoor vibes quite lovely. I would go there again.

We decided to share a few sandwiches - the Black Angus Burger with fries and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich with a side salad. I took my first bite of the burger and my eyes opened wide - what an incredible flavor! The first thing you notice is the rich flavor of the angus beef - it's unique! The meat was tender and juicy - it had tomato and lettuce - I added only ketchup. It was one of the most delicious burgers I've had in some time. The French Fries were excellent with a great taste and fry! Next up the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. I was a little apprehensive when I saw the Ciabatta bun - having fried chicken on such a hard crusted, chewy bread. It wasn't the best choice for this sandwich. My partner and I both felt the chicken was 'hiding' behind the dressings - tomato, thick avocado and chipotle aioli - we opted out of the Applewood smoked bacon, which would have made the chicken more obscure. I opened the sandwich and took out a large piece of chicken to really 'taste it'. It had a great exterior crunch, was tender and juicy. It may have been flattened a little. It was a good sandwich, but if it had been on a brioche roll without the avocado, I believe it would have been more of a true crispy chicken sandwich. The little side salad we had was yummy with a very good balsamic vinaigrette. Overall, Bocado was a delightful lunch - the Black Angus Burger is a must!! I'll most definitely be back to enjoy it again!

But after trying their cuisine, this restaurant became more than just a place to watch a mini concert, glass of wine in hand. My favorite dish here is their carbonara, and I dare say, it may be the best carbonara I've ever had. The pasta is wonderfully creamy with generous bits of guanciale. I mean, just look at this beauty - it's glistening! As though this dish weren't creamy enough, it's topped with a half cracked egg, the yolk a vibrant orange. The idea here is that you incorporate the yolk into the pasta while it's still warm. This is a French restaurant after all, so I will warn you that the service here is quite European. From my experience sitting at the bar, the server won't fuss over you as you dine, and if you needed anything, you would have to flag him down. It's not an issue to me. I don't like feeling rushed at dinner. Just looking at the marvel that is this carbonara is a reminder that I should book another reservation here soon.

Their menu offers an array of dishes ranging from small bites to feast for the eyes and your belly. One dish or rather protein that is a focal point in their menu is chicken since they serve a lean cut of chicken breast or rotisserie chicken paired with rice and other sides. Do prepare your stomach to feast at this restaurant and your ears to listen to some lively music while dining. The servers are very sweet, attentive, and patient for first timer such as myself visiting this restaurant especially in this NYC heat. But I do speak Spanish and part of my family is from Colombia so it was a plus and flex for me since I got to connect more with them. Overall, this restaurant is ideal spot to dine at after visiting The Noguchi Museum. That's my personal recommendation since you get to feed the mind with art history then feed yourself with some delicious Colombian food.

I've been to Inca Paisa before, and unfortunately it has never been my first choice. The only…read morereason I return is because it's my grandmother's preferred restaurant since she lives nearby. We arrived around 6:20-6:30 p.m. There were plenty of open tables, but we weren't seated until much later. During that time, the male waiter seemed more concerned with other tasks. He was seating a woman whose party of six hadn't yet arrived, going back and forth to the kitchen, handing out receipts, and collecting menus. After all of that, he finally approached us--not to seat us--but to ask, "How long are you going to take?" I replied, "Sir, we're here to eat." He responded that the side tables were for people watching the game. I explained that we were there to dine, as this is a restaurant. Even after we were seated, he avoided our table completely. He took the order of a table that had been seated after us while we continued waiting. About 20 minutes later, a female waitress noticed we had not been helped and took over our table. She was attentive, professional, and the only reason we received service. After placing our order, we waited about an hour for our entrées. The food was also underwhelming. The Papa a la Huancaína came with an excessive amount of sauce and very few potatoes. The Ceviche Mixto lacked the bright citrus flavor that ceviche should have. My grandmother, who is very familiar with Peruvian cuisine, found it bland, and even after taking it home we couldn't improve it. The Bistec Encebollado was slightly too salty for our taste. The beans simply weren't to my liking, though that's a matter of personal preference. Another issue is the dining room layout. The seating is extremely tight, to the point where it feels like you're almost elbow-to-elbow with the tables next to you, making the experience feel cramped. Overall, this visit was disappointing. Between the slow and inattentive service, the long wait for food, the cramped seating, and several disappointing dishes, the experience did not justify the visit. The female waitress deserves recognition for stepping in when we had been overlooked, but unfortunately she couldn't make up for the rest of the experience.
