The doctor writes a prescription for the next 3 months and dates the separate prescriptions accordingly. But the pharmacy either has to order the medication in, which seems to take an inordinate amount of time, or the staff finds some nebulous error that clears up after repeated calls. We got a message today that said that the order had come in and we could pick up the prescription. I had other errands to do, so put Walgreens last. They STILL needed "an hour" because the order had "Just come in". If it weren't for the fact that Walgreens has the contract for our Medicare supplement, we would be getting prescriptions elsewhere. C'mon, Walgreens, pull it together.

Adult son had surgery this morning which is Friday. Kept receiving txt msgs all day that there was an issue with his insurance and they would contact him when it was resolved. After several hours he is now in extreme pain. Can't talk because of the surgery he had and can't drive for 24 hours. It is getting late so I finally called to find out what the issue was. Recording said be right with me with 3 calls ahead of me, then 2, then 1 call ahead of me. On hold for 45 minutes. Drove there with no calls ahead of me, now on hold for an hour. Walk in still on hold with NO ONE IN LINE. One car at the window. Two techs working the drive up and inside window. Tech said she had been "extremely" busy. Really, you can't answer one call for an hour??? Then don't have a message that says you will be right with me!!! I finally figured out that the calls ahead of me most likely hung up after being on ignore. Find out there was no issue with his insurance they just needed to know if he was taking any other Rx's that would interact with pain medication he was prescribed. REALLY! No one called him and no one answers the phone when you call them. All this time we are thinking there was a problem with his insurance and they would contact him when it was resolved. IT NEVER WOULD HAVE BEEN RESOLVED BECAUSE THERE WASN'T A PROBLEM WITH HIS INSURANCE. My son was in extreme pain all day unnecessarily because NO ONE answers the phone and they send out inaccurate messages that are false.

The…read morelast few years I have been here I went during the day and the customer service was awesome. Last night I came in about 8:30. I know 30 minutes before closing but I was only grabbing small amount of things for a quick overnight trip that I forgot to grab before leaving to Prescott. While I waited in line, I thought the customer was being frustrated with the cashier just for the sake of being rude. I was wrong...there was a reason. I came up and greeted the cashier. She responded with "We are closing" Yes I know you are closing and if I'm at the register, it means I'm checking out. When it was time to pay, I went to use my Walgreens wallet and it set this woman off. "NO YOU ALREADY TYPED IN YOUR NUMBER WHY DO I NEED TO SCAN THIS!!!" That was the tone and volume she used towards me. I actually stepped back a little in shock. "Ma'am, this is Walgreens pay. You can pay through this." I even pointed to the sign that suggested using Walgreens pay. "Pay with your card...we are closing" the cashier sighed. Whatever I had my wallet in my hand and I took out a card without a chip and swiped it. "UM WRONG WAY". Again the cashier barked something at me. I rolled my eyes and swiped the correct way and her register froze. No deal, just move to another register right? Wrong. The cashier blamed me for this. "Because YOU had to use digital coupons, now your holding up this line while we are about to close" Other customers were glaring at her, not me. We waited for about 5 minutes for a lead to come up. During that time, the cashier was mad at me and telling me to try to swipe or cancel the transaction because "we are closing and I can't believe this" The cashier had to ask for help 5 times from another co worker whos attitude matched hers. When the cashier told her she needed to use that register, that coworker said to her "Yeah I know you need to wait for me to log off" I see whats going on here. All of them are miserable. The poor guy who the other miserable cashier was checking out even told her "I hope you have a wonderful day and please make it better" A 3 minute check out process took 15 minutes. I made sure to use a chip card not to set this woman off. The cashier apparently works in the beauty department. I wouldn't even want her assistance with finding makeup matches if she is this short with something as simple as being on the register. Closing shift, you all need to do better.

The pitstop was full of bipedal beings (humans) and their animal counterparts (pets) so I figured that I might as well let my four legged daughter (puppy) out to explore their animal cage with grass (dog park) We had just had a 4 day rain storm that flew into town and caused a couple fatalities with flash floods. Needless to say I was surprised to see a LAKE (overflow reservoir) at the pitstop. My daughter wanted to go play in the water. Even though it was cold outside! She had a blast!! It was the first time she has ever seen a lake! It was great fun! Elation ran through us like a lightening bolt!

When you're traveling, that kind of ease makes a big difference. They also had my medication in stock, which I really appreciated since I wasn't sure what to expect being away from home. This Walmart is in a good location in Prescott Valley and it's a large store with a good inventory. They have everything from food to electronics to personal care items, which is convenient if you forgot to pack a toothbrush. While walking around the store, I met Jasper, whose owner was kind enough to let me take his picture. The store is clean and employees are helpful if you have a question. Walmart stores are the same whether you travel in the states or oversees, it's always good to have a dependable place to shop. Prices are good too.
