So I went in to pick up my prescription and there was a gentleman standing to the side of the pharmacy line. I wasn't sure if he was next so I asked him and the rude pharmacy tech kept saying hello, hello, hello. My husband has a prescription for a controlled substance that Walgreens ALWAYS,ALWAYS has trouble with. The doctor writes a prescription for the next 3 months and dates the separate prescriptions accordingly. But the pharmacy either has to order the medication in, which seems to take an inordinate amount of time, or the staff finds some nebulous error that clears up after repeated calls. We got a message today that said that the order had come in and we could pick up the prescription. I had other errands to do, so put Walgreens last. They STILL needed "an hour" because the order had "Just come in". If it weren't for the fact that Walgreens has the contract for our Medicare supplement, we would be getting prescriptions elsewhere. C'mon, Walgreens, pull it together. read more

You can say a lot of things about Walgreens, but this review is specifically about Pharmacy Technician Haylie at this location. She's been there for a while - several years at least - and has helped both my husband and me on more than one occasion. Today she went an extra ten miles in figuring out a complicated problem with our new prescription insurance. It took multiple phone calls and involved dealing with more than one person at the insurance company, at least one of whom appeared not to have a full understanding of his job description or what insurance coverage entailed. In the end, the prescriptions were filled in a matter of less than five minutes after the insurance glitch was resolved. Haylie's institutional knowledge and tenacity were the keys to this success. CVS isn't good, but Walgreens is so bad it made me go back to CVS. The pharmacy SUCKS absolutely terrible. Always a horrible wait even during weekdays in afternoon time came at 10am and 1:30pm and its always a long line inside and outside. The pharmacy staff is very rude and not very knowledgeable. You call to talk to them you're on hold for 20+ minutes for them to just say PATIENT DOB? NOT READY. Then they put you back on hold and twice they never came back after waiting 20 more minutes 1 time before I hung up and 34 minutes the other before hanging up. I've only used the pharmacy a few times so far and EVERY time there is a problem. They say it'll be ready for pick up at this time and it never is. It takes days to fill a prescription where anywhere else is a few hours at most. read more

This review is for the Photo department: Worst. Photo. Department. Ever. Wife went here recently to get a passport photo. It was a cold day, so she had on a pullover over her shirt. The clerk first told my wife she wasn't allowed to wear a pullover in the photo. So my wife says she'll remove the pullover, and has a white shirt on underneath. Clerk then says passport photos can't be with a white shirt. After unsuccessfully trying to convince the clerk it would be okay, my wife finally left with no photo. So, first of all, the Walgreen's clerk is not the "passport police". Walgreens job is to just take the photo and collect the $. Secondly, after reviewing the passport photo requirements on the official U.S. Dept of State website, found out this Walgreen's clerk was just making all this stuff up. (Btw, the very next day, my wife got her passport photo from the Post Office wearing the exact same pullover!) Crap customer service. Will never go to this Walgreens again. read more

Had to wait 1 1/2 days to get a prescription filled. I called @3:45 and the lady said they had it but it wasn't ready, waited all day, still not ready, then they closed. Next day I called and a different lady told me they didn't receive it till 9 pm and they closed @10. Pharmacy gal is insanely rude. They had an out of stock medication so I HAD to call. I'm explaining the issue and she replies with "well I don't know who you even are so" I was shocked. The store is clean and organized. But no one greeted you as you walk in the door. There were tons of employees working, stocking the shelves, and sweeping, but no one acknowledged me, even after going up and down all the aisles (employees were in some of them) not a one asked if I needed help. Finally after 10 minutes of looking I finally found the T-shirts, they are $4.99 each or 2 for $10, I bought 2. My total came out to $10.92.....at CVS I bought the same thing and it came out to $10.90....hmmm????? read more

I worked all day and took time off to go get a Covid test. I googled free Covid test and then spent an hour filling out all the information. When I finished doing that the confirmation I got online said there would be "no cost". Try to double check that by calling in and all I got it was a robot. Came in for my appointment and then after they went through all of my information at the very end, they told me I would have to pay $165 for my test. I will never go to another Walgreens again in my entire life. are used to have a warm spot in my heart for Walgreens because my family is from a small town in Iowa where Walgreens started 1000 years ago but I am finished. After a friggin nightmare of dealing with Prescott on Willow Creek since Wednesday (it is now Saturday) trying to get an antibiotic, Chris and Ashley went above and beyond to not only get me my medication but calm me down and get me on my way in 30 minutes of getting there. HORRIBLE Pharmacy. I've gone in there multiple times to get the correct prescription brand that I was originally prescribed by my doctor. Several times I've been given off brand prescriptions that my body doesn't react well to. Every time I've clarified the brand I need, I keep being told "yes, this is what your picking up today" just to open the bag and it's not what I was originally prescribed. They bill my insurance for the wrong brand and then my insurance won't allow the right prescription to be filled. This is not okay by any means. read more

Walgreens offers Covid test via the pharmacy drive thru window. The registration/appointment process online is easy enough with instructions to show up 5 minutes prior to appointment time and to have pertinent info ready. It clearly states to wait until a team member asks you to open your window. Well I did all the above as told by instructions in the email. This team member running the drive thru window begins to yell at me angrily about me "NEEDING TO ROLL MY WINDOW DOWN CAUSE HOW ELSE IS SHE SUPPOSED TO HELP ME AND WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP DOING THIS!!!" With arms in the air gesturing and carrying on so everyone in the pharmacy can witness. I rolled my window down and calmly told her I followed instructions to keep window up until told otherwise. She then yells "I KNOW I DONT KNOW WHY THEY KEEP SAYING TO DO THAT!!" Just unprofessional attitude. I'm a healthcare worker too and don't take my moods out on people simply following the rules. I've been a huge Walgreens fan over the years, so it pains me to write this review. This is a terrible store. I use it primarily for the pharmacy, and it is very poorly run. Service is awful with 25+ minute waits. I went to the drive-through last week, and there was a customer waiting for her meds in front of me, for 20 minutes! Instead of asking her to pull around, they let her (and the rest of us) wait and wait and wait. Also, my meds are never ready when called in; they forget to run the insurance; the techs are not educated well and rude with customers. The manager needs to manage! I will probably switch to CVS, which is saying a lot due to my Walgreens loyalty. All good things must come to an end. read more

Every time I have to call and fix the prescription because they refuse to follow directions I will be writing a review. It takes so long to get someone on the line and they are constantly screwing up the prescription. Not only does the doctor write "dispense as written" but I also had them put a note not to fill this one script with the generic. They never follow directions! What a disappointment Walgreens, Prescott Valley. I had items to purchase and have been a member of their Balance Rewards program, currently changing to My Walgreens. I've been a member for years and receive almost daily, emails from Walgreens! Today, I went shopping at Walgreens and at checkout I entered the only phone number I've used as a customer and member of Balance Rewards/My Walgreens, and the phone number was not recognized. The Cashier said you are not a member. There were no customers behind me so I asked the cashier if there wasn't someone who could help with this issue and she said NO. I only ended up purchasing 2 of the items I had in my cart and left the store. I've decided to return those 2 items tomorrow. I find that these changes and lack of interest in assisting a long time customer with an honest problem, make me feel it's time to take my business to another Pharmacy. read more

If I could give this Walgreens 0 stars I would. We were scheduled for our Covid booster and told to arrive 15 minutes early. We had filled out our paperwork at home and were just needing the shot. Upon arrival we were told to wait in the pharmacy line. Everyone in front of us took at least 20 minutes to fight for their prescriptions. After 50 minutes we finally made it to the front of the line where the clerk needed all the information that we had already filled out. We were told to wait in the middle of the store for the pharmacist to summon us. After another 15 minutes we were summoned to this little cubicle where the trash was overflowing with items that should have been put in a sterile container. The pharmacist gave us our shots with not as much as an hello and did not tell us to wait the required 15 minutes in case of side effects. We waited anyway. We will never return and suggest others follow suit. read more

Sad that Walgreens in PV has gone downhill. Had an appointment for a vaccine, but told I had to still wait in the line, which was across the store. Inching forward I then see an employee unlock the vaccine room. I asked if this was for me since it was now 30 minutes later than my scheduled time. I am told "No, you have to stay in the line." Okay...inching forward more I then see the clerk behind the desk yell at a customer, who I spoke with earlier and was there for heart medication a second day in a row because they did not have it the day before. Why was she upset with this customer, well she put in her credit card in the machine too early. The employee tells her this as she angrily folds the bag over her medication, rolls her eyes and looks at us in line with an expression as to tell us how stupid this women was. The customer in front of me turns to me and we both agreed that this attitude was "appalling," as the lady in front of me correctly put it. This store has no training of the pharmacy techs, I went to the counter, and they had lost my prescription an hour after filling it. Their are managers walking around laughing up at the front of the store but they dont come near the unhappy waiting lines at the pharmacy. People are rude and like all medical things in Prescott or Prescott valley do not care about people, just cramming in as many people as they can regardless of the care. read more

Came to buy a home COVID test. 10:50am today. (btw Whatever tests they have are on a rack in the dead middle of the store with a DIY printed sign up top that says something weird and non-descriptive like "Health Safety Center" (or whatever). So I see a BINAX display (empty), no QuickVue display, some random masks thrown in there... and something called FlowFlex way down low which did turn out to be a Chinese made COVID test (maybe they all are). Anyway, I turn down a nearby aisle in search of a QuickVue display. Couple of employees with a stock cart are having a personal conversation (really long line at the front register btw). Short one with dirty blonde hair in a ponytail and glasses asks me what I want. "Hi - where are your COVID tests?" "You just walked right past them!" Hmm. "Ok, then I guess my question is, are those all the tests you have?" She's starts talking under me in the middle of my sentence so I don't catch what she said. I walk back to the rack. She appears and says "Like I told you, these are all the tests we have!" Loud and real attitude. "Well.. thanks for repeating yourself, I guess." This place needs better management. I'm a customer (trying to find a test for a sick relative). The store is not your home and I'm not your sorry redneck kids or ex-husband. Two stars rather than one, only because the cashier who checked me out was fine. read more

A month after I sent it in, the US Passport Office sent me a letter saying that the Walgreens passport photo I submitted was not acceptable. I was suspicious when the photo was taken by the a sales clerk with a cheap digital camera. Not only will I have to find and pay someone else to take a better quality photo now, but I've lost a month in the application process. read more

I don't normally write negative reviews. And I am not enjoying writing this one. That said I will try to be as fair to the people involved as I can. Thursday morning I took a prescription in to have it filled. While waiting to see if they had the Med I needed in stock, techs were tossing filled perceptions in a basket sitting on the floor under the counter. This didn't seem very professional to me. After about 15 minutes of checking I was told that they didn't have enough doses to fill my script. And that they could order it and they would have it by the next morning. When by 6 pm the following day I hadn't heard anything, I called their automated service line and was informed that there was a problem with my insurance. I then called the insurance company and the patient advocate informed me that they couldn't cover the cost because they didn't have the right CDN number, apparently something to do with the packaging.A Walgreens associate called me back around seven and told me that they could not fill the script. I went in this morning this morning picked up the script and took it to another pharmacy where it was promptly filled. read more
