Stopped by CVS Pharmacy while visiting from out of town, and overall had a solid experience. I called ahead, and the service over the phone was really good staff was helpful, friendly, and able to answer my questions quickly. When you're traveling, that kind of ease makes a big difference. They also had my medication in stock, which I really appreciated since I wasn't sure what to expect being away from home. Nothing over-the-top, but reliable, convenient, and good customer service when I needed it. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area and need a pharmacy. read more

This is a nicely sized CVS and I like the exterior design theme...it blends in well with landscape. We came here to pick up a few things while we were staying in Sedona and were able to find what we need quickly. The store was clean, organized and stocked. The only downside was the restroom wasn't working and that was a bit of a bummer but lesson learned not to have a large drink while driving to Sedona. read more

Ehhh... they didn't sell gloves (I was just looking for something cheap so my hands don't freeze), but I won't hold that against them. Though they did sell bathrobes, slippers, Sedona t-shirts, and baseball caps. I was really hoping for some gloves! Sedona is cold in the winter. That aside, the store was like a typical CVS. Although Kevin was super nice and helpful, which is the only reason I'm giving two stars.. i would give zero stars if that was an option to the woman I'm writing the review for. I took my son's pictures on passportphotos.com with the option to print them myself, it sends you detailed instructions on how and where to print them but when I went to the cvs and along with Kevin to their website as instructed on the email details, we noticed the size option for printing was too big for a passport picture, Kevin had also been in that situation so he asked another associate, a very impatient and rude one named Tracy which I later found out was a supervisor, I'm writing this in hopes that the store director sees this and is aware of his or her employees skill set and talents to better place them, this woman Tracy had an annoyed face before she was even asked the question, then became annoyed that Kevin was even asking her anything that she felt I had to do on my own since I had to do it online, she didn't even want to deal with it when she learned I had already taken the passport pictures elsewhere and insinuated to him in front of me that I should just figure it out by myself so I started to talk to him only since he was the only one willing to help me and she got so insulted that I was only talking to him that started laughing and said she was leaving and when I said bye she yelled "excuseeeee me" just all around inappropriate and zero customer service skills, I'm sure she was having a bad day like we all do sometimes the difference is that when you are working you need to at least try to keep your issues and problems at home, that doesn't give anybody the right to act that way to a customer that is lost in what they are trying to do, there are ways to say you don't know either, Kevin can certainly show her a thing or two, or three. She had an annoyed tone the entire time, kept making sarcastic comments, as you can tell I have a lot more to say about that episode I just experienced at that store, but I also have better things to be doing that wasting my time on this person. Looking for small travel bandages and needing a prescription filled I was delighted to find this CVS in the heart of the Sedona strip on a chilly, rainy day. I am totally a CVS girl and if given the choice, even if there is distance to travel of the two-main drug / convenience store giants I prefer CVS. I hear CVS went through lots to get approval to be here; Sedona placed restrictions on them such as being open no more than 12 hours per day and topography restrictions. New, clean, cheerful and well stocked this CVS is. Their service here is top notch like all other locations. I was looking for just a small package of Band-Aids. A gentleman said they didn't have any, so I began to look at the big boxes. Many minutes had passed and suddenly he found me near the beverages and located a small first-aid kit that cost less than the big boxes I was looking for. Going out of the way for customers is a total norm at CVS! This store also has lots of Sedona swag so if someone is in town and wants to get a few things they can still get Sedona memorabilia quickly without having to go shop to shop. This has got to be the WORST pharmacy I have ever done business!!! They are super slow; I have never been helped without waiting no less than 20 mins.that is both in person and on the phone. I waited on hold for 30 mins before I even spoke to a human and then was put on hold many times within the same call. The incompetence of the staff is ridiculous. There is zero communication and don't expect them to do their job properly or without loads of phone calls or prodding. If you value your time and sanity, pick another pharmacy!!! Warning do not sign up for the care pass! The workers will do everything to sign you up and tell you what a great deal it is and that all you have to do is go online and cancel which is a big lie. It will take you an hour and a half to try to cancel their five dollar a month care past to save $10 and the coupon won't work so you'll end up spending two hours of your day talking to someone in India who's going to try to talk you into keeping their CVS care pass. Waited 4 hours for prescription to be filled. Only to be told it wasn't covered by insurance. Too late to go anywhere else. Had to pay $56 to get one pill. We're told anywhere EXCEPT CVS could have used our insurance. Zero stars for this place. Absolutely no sense of urgency. The lady who answered the phone I presume was a pharmacy tech placed me on long extended hold after waiting an already lengthily time. It's a Tuesday after a busy holiday weekend so I'd assume they wouldn't be busy and I'd assume they'd have enough employees. The line was long for vaccinations and pharmacist was busy doing that and no one was assisting customers expect the pharmacy tech who was glued to the cash register. They called my name for pick up and only 1 script was ready. The pharmacy tech must be under a lot of stress...mouthy, flippant, and rude. read more

I was in Sedona last week and I was having issues with a cough. My doctor is in Victorville California. I thought I would take a shot at CVS in Sedona. Beautiful new store. I stopped by and I asked the Pharmacist,(Julie) for some help and she directed me to what I needed. She asked the right question's . A new Transfer from Pennsylvania she loves her job and I was encouraged that there are some great CVS Employees still out there. We do not get that type of service or caring in Calif. Another reason you see so many people moving out of state. We have lost our customer service advantage. read more

Slow lines and they require a key from the cashier to use bathroom! Is this downtown LA? Why lock the bathrooms? Bad idea. I had to go to CVS due to ulcerative colitis, which causes me to have to use restroom immediately at times. I ran to restroom and I saw sign saying I needed key from the OPPOSITE side of store at register. Physically in pain as I ran to register and flagged down cashier for key and ran back to bathroom. Ridiculous. I should have gone in the middle of the store than risk hurting myself. read more

No stars for this pharmacy. I was waiting at the counter, could see 2 employees that completely ignored me. After my transaction was FINALLY completed, I needed to call uber but my cell was out of battery. I spent over $25 for cords to charge my phone but it was taking too long. I asked several employees if they had a number for a taxi. The answer I received was "gosh I can't find our telephone book". Really???!!! I guess out here in the boonies no one has a smart phone. So I say THANKS CVS for NOT going the extra mile to help a patron. At my CVS in Avondale AZ they know me by name, and I know they would do anything to help me. This pharmacy doesn't take Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. When I went to pick up my prescription, they informed me of this fact, but then kept repeating what dollar amount I owed. I did not take my prescription; I was not about to pay full price without insurance. I had my prescription transferred to Walgreens instead. read more

Thank you God for the CVS pharmacy in Sedona...Walgreens ran out of the blood pressure pills I have taken for years and CVS was willing to fill my much needed prescription. And I've been so ill I needed the convenience of a drive thru which they also have. There are not enough thanks to go around, I spoke directly with the pharmacist who explained the supplier problem.
