I came here for an event and while I think the cintas center on it's own and their staff deserve the five stars - I think the event was more like 2 stars as it was expensive and I do not feel it was what was advertised. I came to the center for the Greater Cincinnati Bake off - paid 40 bucks for a box of baked goods I could have made myself since it was boxed cake mixes and store bought pastries - only a few of the winners or contestants were giving out samples which is disappointing as that is what this was adertised as. read more

Ok arena. Small seats no drink holders. Just had person kick my drink over. They act like this place is the pros. Paid parking in advance high concession prices and no ushers. They decided to institute a clearbag or small purse policy w no notice. Claimed it was on tickets. Wrong. Had to lock up in portable locker for 8 more dollars. 150 dolars for 2 upperdeck seats and mimimal concessions. Xavier is wripping off sucker fans. read more

My first game game in Cintas in a couple years and it was as fun as I remember!! The seats were in a prime location with a lot of back and forth action. The parking was pretty easy to navigate. The getting in to the venue was quick and easy. The exiting was a bit timely as everyone left at the same time and there are only so many roads out. Nothing you can do about that! Counting down the days I can come back to Cintas Center and cheer on my alma mater!!! read more

First time at a Xavier game. My son graduated from Xavier many years ago. Been here for several graduations. The center is nice. The way they handle the game crowd was so smooth. It was a sold out game. There were several every points. We needed help with our on line tickets and they were absolutely wonderful in printing them for us. There are concession on each level, lines were orderly. Plus they had additional local restaurants selling food as well. It was a great experience. And we won! read more

I found the seating arrangements quite comfortable and the layout easy to navigate. Everything was clean and bright and the scoreboard was easy to read. I feel that this is a great venue to observe a sporting event because there is not a bad seat in the house! The Soundsystem is great too! I recently went to the Cintas Center to attend a Xavier Mens Basketball game. Unfortunately the only other time I had been there was for a police funeral, so I was glad to return on a more positive note. I myself did not attend X, but a good friend did, so she invited me to go. I was excited to check out some Big East action, as my team, UCONN, will be switching to the Big East next year and playing them! From the moment I walked in I was impressed by the bright and modern feel of the venue. There are your standard food options of pizza, pretzels and beer lining the halls. If youd like something better they offer Skyline, Elis BBQ, and even Quatmann Cafe burgers! Prices are the standard high end for a sporting event. Our seats were a great view, and not uncomfortable. The crowd here is great and very engaged the entire time. The sound system, score board, and sign boards are of high quality. This was some great basketball action and a close game the whole time! We had a parking pass, so I am not sure what it would be like otherwise, but with the pass it was an easy in and out as well as a short walk! Great venue! read more

I recently attended a Harlem Globetrotters game here and enjoyed the venue. All the employees we encountered polite and helpful. The concession stand had plenty of options and there were extra booths selling things like Dip 'N Dots and Eli's BBQ. Our seats were court-side for this event so obviously our view was great. It didn't look like any seat would be bad though given the size of the arena (not too large but plenty of space). My only small gripe would be that there weren't a lot of garbage cans around to get rid of trash near your seats. Maybe I just missed them or maybe things were set up different for this event. All around a nice venue! read more

Came her for my niece's high school graduation so I can't speak for this place as a sports venue. What I can say is that it is a very nice facility that seems to be run very well. Parking is plentiful, close-by, and convenient. The crowds here are handled with great organization. For as many people that they can facilitate, it didn't feel uncomfortably crowded. I would definitely not be opposed to returning here in the future for other events. read more

This is one of best arenas in college basketball. It's small enough so there is no bad seat, but large 10K seat arena. Cincy is not a nice place, but Xavier is far enough away so it feels like it's own town. The fans are very loud here. Came here for Georgetown vs Xavier game, Georgetown is having rough year this year unfortunately. This certainly is better than other Big East venues I've been to. Also, the pregame here is tremendous with the fire when starting players are introduced. read more

I attended my second meeting here this month. This is a great venue for business meetings. There are several conference rooms to choose from and they will configure them anyway you would like. Parking is easy and plentiful during the day (just make sure you have parking passes- or you will get ticketed by XU). Everyone that I encountered from XU/Cintas Center were super helpful and friendly! Can't wait to attend another meeting here. Would definitely look here to host meetings or parties! I've attended several conferences and exhibits here and find it a decent area for such purposes. My most recent visit was for Cincinnati Combats Cancer. It was a great assemblage of area health teams and cancer focused groups. I became a registered bone marrow donor, had a skin cancer screening (I passed), and got to use a Da Vinci surgical robot. It was totally cool. Oh, they even had inflatable Mega Colon, Brain, and Lungs. Ha ha. Parking is ample but a little bit of a walk from the main entrance. I am not sure about handicapped parking although assume that spots are located much closer and possibly on a different side than the main lot. Simple things like bathrooms are in good supply as are water fountains. I often forget that Xavier plays here as the outer halls are so large and the arena is often behind curtains or closed doors. The split level design can be confusing, so make sure that you ask for directions and make sure that your conference or group is meeting in the right area. Use the handrail while going down the large staircase. It's a long way down. There is a lot of construction in the area so plan ahead and leave a little early in case traffic is slow. read more

I visited the Cintas Center for a couple events. I think my favorite was the Michael Pollan lecture. They did a great job of providing free parking at the venue, setting up the seating and stage, and organizing the overall flow of the event. I keep my eye on events here and wouldn't hesitate to go to any that sounded interesting. They do seem to have a wide variety of talks on interesting subjects and good speakers. read more

The Cintas Center is Xavier University's sports and concert arena. It's tucked back off the main roads in Norwood not far from the University's campus. This large cement building is home to their basketball team as well as some other sports. I don't really know anything about their sports. My high school's graduation was held here and it was a nice venue for such an event. They hung a curtain to block off half of the seating and to make it a half round space with a stage in the center. It managed to fit all the families and friends of the 300+ graduates of my class. I've also attended one musical concert here. Bob Dylan played a show here that I managed to get tickets to. Besides the fact that Bob Dylan isn't great at playing shows (the guy has no personality), it was a decent venue. The sound was a little off because of the cement of the structure bouncing things around. It's a nice place to go! read more

I attended an event at the Cintas Center (Cincinnati Chocolate Festival). Cintas Center is a multi-purpose arena and conference center at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio (which seats 10,000+). It is home to the Xavier University Musketeers basketball and volleyball teams. Within the main arena are 22 luxury boxes as well as the Joseph Club, a VIP bar overlooking the court. A practice facility, the Kohlhepp Family Auxiliary Gym, is attached to the arena and is used by the athletic teams, as well as being used as additional event space (I really liked the set up of the facility-open and spacious). There are also a state-of-the-art weight and training rooms as well as 4 large locker rooms. As a concert venue Cintas Center can seat as few as 2,000 or as many as 10,000. The arena features 15,000 square feet of space. It also is used for trade shows, conventions, and corporate meetings, among other events. Free parking when I went to the event. Not sure with other shows if there is a charge. A great addition to Cincinnati. read more

One of the great college arena's for basketball. The student section is one of the best in the nation. Makes for a great home court advantage. It is a very modern facility too. The just added a new scoreboard and running screens around the arena. Great touches. It's a very clean arena and well kept up. There have been some great shows here as well. Parking is always a bit of a problem so come early. They keep taking away area for parking for those with passes. So just go early. read more

Excellent place to watch a basketball game. The sightlines are perfect no matter where you are sitting, concessions are reasonable (better than most places) and the parking lot is right next to the arena for easy access. The only downfall is it seems you have to double back to get to the place from the interstate, but I didnt have my GPS on, so maybe it was just me! read more

I wasn't sure how to start my review of Xavier's Cinats Center until I saw a misspelling on the "Arena" tab of its website. They say that for concerts the arena can accomodate up to 10,000 guests, while I know it really accommodates (two m's) that number of guests. Other than that it is a great arena. The Cintas Center is less than the length of two football fields away from XU's residence halls (regardless of the fact Xavier doesn't play football), but it is not limited to campus events. With a 7,700 square foot conference center and 12,000 square foot banquet center, in addition to the 10,250-seat arena, the Cintas Center is also a home for corporate and social events, conventions and tradeshows, and exhibits and concerts. Most importantly, at least for me, a huge college basketball fan, the Cintas Center is home to Xavier basketball (and volleyball). After years playing of playing at the off campus Cincinnati Gardens, the Musketeers were first able to call the Cintas Center its new home in 2000. It is nice, it's arena shape (as opposed to UC's box shape) make it great for watching a game, and it's somewhat small size for major basketball standards allows for the arena to get really loud during big games such as the Crosstown Shootout. I think it is a great arena, and while I've only been to two basketball games there, I know it is capable of being the toughest places around for opponents in which to play. Now if only Xavier did not play in the Atlantic 10 Conference they'd be able to host a better slate of teams each year. My high school graduation was also held at the Cintas Center, which has become a pretty popular location for many area schools. This year almost 25 high school graduations were held at Xavier, most often two in one weekend day. It is a much better place to hold a graduation ceremony than UC's Fifth Third Arena (site of my older sibling's graduations) with its round shape and thus seats angled towards the stage. Although I have never been a Xavier Musketeers supporter, I am a fan of the Cintas Center, overall a very nice arena for all kinds of events. read more

We came here for an XU basketball game - a first for both of us! Parking was fairly easy. We were lucky to inherit tix and a parking pass from friends who were out-of-town for the game. There were plenty of people directing traffic to the various lots. Our lot was roped off on one end, which was inconvenient. But we just followed the person in front of us. One guy got out and lifted the rope to pass underneath it. Otherwise, we would have had to made a difficult 3 point turn and go all the way around. The lot was close to the arena, and though it was close to game time, the line wasn't too long and moved along quickly. The concessions had the usual college game food...popcorn, chicken tenders, pretzels. There were a few local tents set up, including a burger stand and local brewery. We were impressed with the seating. My hubby commented that this venue is much better than UC's. The configuration gave good views from all seating areas. Overall, a nice basketball stadium. read more

This is the BEST place you could possibly go to watch a college basketball game. I've been going here to watch the Muskies since I was a little kid and the energy of this place and the fans just can't be beat by any other arena out there. The worst part about it is how expensive the beer is but let's be honest it's a sports game obviously it's gonna be over priced. So no complaints here can't wait to see the Muskies dominate again! Came here for the evening with Elie Wiesel. Free parking, and a pretty smooth organization given that there were thousands people attending. The lines to pick up the tickets were pretty long, but the security guards did what they could to keep people calm and speed up the process. Inside we sat down in the top seats but couldn't really hear anything so we moved to lower seats after a while and then it was perfect. Would definitely come back for events we're interested in. read more

I've been to the Cintas Center twice now, both in October. Both for the Cincinnati Chocolate Festival. Yes, a chocolate festival. The parking lot is huge and totally free, though it's all on a hill so there are a lot of stairs. Last year the chocolate festival only got a small event room in the Cintas Center and was really crowded, so this year they got the full outer rim of the building! And it was still crowded. But that's alright because it was a fun event that I'll keep coming to every year. The Cintas Center itself is kind of a neat building and is well organized. They have a lot of sport history along the walls (it's a basketball arena) that was actually kind of interesting to look at (oh my are those shoes huge!) Other than that it's about what you would expect of a school - neutral, modern, lots of concrete and tile, etc. I doubt I'll ever come here to see a game, but like I said above I'll be back as often as the Chocolate Festival is still held here. read more

The Cintas Center is probably best known for it's ties to Xavier University (every campus wide event is held here and the nationally ranked men's basketball team plays their home games in the arena), but the venue has hosted a number of different kinds and types of events that I have been to over the years. Cintas was opened in 2000, making it one of the newest big concert/sporting event venues in Cincinnati...and therefore, one of the nicest. The staff at Cintas do well to make sure the arena and adjoining conference rooms and banquet halls are sparkling clean and the layout of the building is modern and not at all confusing. In the last year, Cintas saw a sold out arena (which seats over 10,000) for a number of home basketball games, as well as to a ridiculous Wiggles concert...I've never seen so many little kids on a college campus, before! The banquet center was also host to scandalous right-wing speaker Ann Coulter. Before I was even considering going to Xavier for college my high-school decided to have their prom in the Cintas banquet room. The room was huge, definitely big enough to accommodate a dance floor and 600 or so prom-goers. This past week, a different high-school graduation ceremony has been held at Cintas every day. Parking by Cintas isn't normally an issue unless the event you're attending is sold out. There are 2,000 parking spots right behind the arena that are normally used for student commuter parking, but if the event happens at night the spots are empty. Basketball season ticket holders have the option of parking in the lower parking lots, right in front of Cintas. If you can't get parking in either of these areas, try parking on Cleneay Avenue or in the shopping center lot that used to house Soupies Bar & Grill. read more

My family has had Xavier basketball season tickets since the early 90's. Back then XU played their home games at the Cincinnati Gardens. The Gardens had a great atmosphere, but it was hardly state of the art. Now Xavier plays their home games at the on campus Cintas Center which is a 180 from The Gardens. It is one of the best sporting arenas in the region and has been the model for other college arenas (NKU's Bank of Kentucky Center has many similarities). The Cintas Center is 10 years old now, but X has done a great job of maintaining the arena and making upgrades to it. Best example would be the upgrades to the video board and the new ribbon boards. It has the look of a mini-NBA arena. The best aspect of Cintas is there is not a bad seat in the house. I have been to many basketball arenas where if you get seats in the upper level you might as well save your money and watch the game at home because your viewpoint is gonna stink (University of Dayton Arena is a perfect example). This is not the case at Cintas. Because a lot of big money donors make up a good chunk of the lower level, the atmosphere is not quite as rowdy as The Gardens, but for big games it does get loud, and its not often X loses at home. So if you want to go to to a local sporting event and walk away happy, going to a home XU game is a good choice. If there is one complaint I have about Cintas its the audio quality. I'm not sure if its the speakers or whoever is mixing the sound, but the auido quality has always been a bit lackluster. One second you can go from barely hearing the PA announcer, to the next second having your ears blasted off by whatever arena anthem is played. I have not been to any non-bball events at Cintas, but I have heard friends have similar audio complains about the events they have attended. This is the one thing holding me back from giving Cintas 5 stars. read more

Home of the Xavier Musketeers! Granted I'm somewhat biased as a graduate; however, it's a great place to watch a basketball game no matter your affiliation. The craft beer selection at D'Artagnan's desk is great. Mostly local selections (ex. Listermann, Rhinegeist, Mad Tree). Prices are $9 so typical for sporting events. I'll never get over paying $4 for a bottle of water though. Parking can be annoying if you don't have a pass for a men's game. You need to look around campus for a free spot. If you have a pass, parking is pretty easy. Xavier's hall of fame is also located inside for your viewing pleasure. Renovations begin this year so it will be interesting to see the additional seating and amenities. Besides basketball, there are business events, high school graduations, speakers, etc. read more

Facility is outstanding. Nice people, well run, very clean. Be careful of the Xavier Police and Building Management Staff. Traffic around the arena is a joke. Parking is ridiculous. Building management staff are overly aggressive and seem to think they are part of the show. Getting in and out of the area is confusing and the signage is small and poor. Outside lighting is terrible and this isn't the greatest neighborhood in the Queen City. I feel that XU should be better hosts then they are as there are other options (better) than the Cintas Center to hold an event. read more
