I went to the world of oddities expo I wouldn't on a Saturday about 12:00 and it was busy as could be. We'll start with the parking.. it literally took me over 20 minutes to find a parking spot there were signs up that pointed you to another lot and they were towing people from them lots so I didn't park there I had to drive around until somebody was walking out and then hurry up and get their spot. I had to walk good half a mile. And then when we got in there it was a super nice building not very very huge but you know big enough but like I said there was a lot of people. read more

I've been here twice for HorrorHound weekend. Because the Duke Energy Convention Center has had a long term renovation, this is the next best option in the city. It is a nice convention center and seems great for small events, but definitely makes a large event like this one overwhelming. I do like that they have free parking, but unless you're coming here an hour or so before the building opens, well, good luck. Once their lot is full, it will be a headache and a half trying to find another area where you won't get towed - or you can pay up to the people charging for spots. The large area of the convention center is nice and makes for a great vendor hall. There's even a basement to store an overflow of booths. Although it gets booked fast, there is a hotel connected. Once you try to maneuver into the other rooms, that's where it can get tough. long lines take up space in the narrow hallways, and lines for celebrity guest get capped quick because most of them are crammed into a small room. Also, don't plan on using any of the ATMs, because they're all going to run out of money fast. I probably will not be visiting any more conventions here. Maybe if there was a smaller event I was interested in. read more

The newly remodeled convention center in Sharonville is pretty nice. The venue is upscale, immaculate and lovely. The convention hall is large and flexible. Meeting rooms are comfortable. Outdoor spaces under the portico are really nice for additional event space. The acoustics were problematic. There was a band or DJ warming up in the room next to our talk and the noise was distracting. Venue organizers could have managed the noise better when hosting concurrent events The parking lot is inadequate for large crowds. Traffic flow is dangerous for pedestrians. Walkways across Chester Road would also be helpful. Additional ramps into the building would be helpful. read more

The Sharonville Convention Center is a nice location for conventions. There's a lot of parking, and multiple rooms to employ for events. Facilities are definitely adequate, but obviously not as nice as a newly built or renovated place. My one suggestion would be that the parking area be policed a bit more for scammers. Some kids were charging folks for parking in a free lot. A pretty decent scam for them, really. But there were police officers working traffic in the area who took no action to address. read more

The Sharonville Convention Center is a very nice location for many different types of events. I didn't love that they share parking with the hotel next door. I was here recently for a work event and a bridal show. Two very different events but this center was the perfect place for both. read more

Both times that I have been to the Sharonville Convention Center have been for the Half Price Books Clearance Sale. They do a good job hosting it a couple times a year. The Convention Center itself is huge, I can imagine during bigger events they utilize much more of the space available. The Half Price Books sale is regulated to one huge room where books, dvds, and cds are on sale for some amazing prices. The books are categorized by subject, the dvds and cds are just kind of in boxes in no particular order. The OCD in me goes a little crazy looking through everything. I'd like to think that if I spent a whole day there I could acquire a lot of great stuff, but my threshold for the disorganization usually has me staying less than an hour. It's not the fault of the event..it is what it's supposed to be..I just personally can only handle so much of it for a period of time. Anywho, the Convention Center seems really nice and if an event came around that interested me there I would definitely check it out. read more

I've been to the Sharonville Convention Center many times over the years. High school graduations, the My Furry Valentine adoption event where we got our two rescue cats, the Home and Garden show and other events. We were here today for the Victory of Light expo. It's a large place with plenty of space for a lot of vendors. The lower level has smaller rooms where the speakers can have a more intimate talk/speech. There's a small food and drink area and plenty of restrooms located throughout. If I had a complaint about this place it would be the parking. It is completely inadequate for the size of the place. It's nearly impossible to find parking in the lot and the lots right next to it will charge a fee, while others will tow if you park in their lot. Otherwise this is a pretty decent venue for conventions and trade shows. read more

I have been to 4 completely different events at this place and every time has a blast!!! This place has some much agility to do all types of events. Surprisingly the food is pretty tasty and I love that they have coat check for every area of the center. Overall great meeting place Oh and it now has a hotel right next door. read more

Tried to go to the gun show on Saturday! being handicapped! There was inadequate parking! It seems 98% of the vendors to took the handicap parking! Leaving paying handicap customer's not a place to park? We just drove through and just left! So they lost two paying customer's! The convention center needs more handicapped parking spot! Until this is done they lost our business and I hope others will follow my lead handicap or not help me get more spots and have the vendors not to park in handicap parking spots! Help us/me out! I attended a large corporate event here (approx. 1200 people) for work, and this convention center is one of the nicer ones in Cincinnati. The largest room can hold 1000 plus people sitting at round 10 person tables. The A/V is really nice, and they even have drop down projectors in the center of the room so that the people in the back can still read the slides or see the presentation. The other thing that sets this convention center apart is the break out rooms. They have several clearly numbered rooms that can be used for smaller break out sessions ranging in size from 40 people to 250. So you don't have to do everything in the one big room. The food that was ordered from here was all pretty good (we had breakfast, lunch, snack, and happy hour here). Their passed hors d'oeuvres were particularly tasty during happy hours that we had after the event days. I wished they served Coke products instead of Pepsi, but I'll get over it. All of the employees were super friendly and helpful. Once I had an issue where I was about to give a presentation but the mic wasn't set up, and a cleaning person called the A/V guys over to help me set it up. There are a couple of restrooms on the first and second floors, but they are off to the side and can be hard to find. There were some lines to the women's rooms, but it was manageable. I would definitely schedule corporate events here again. read more

I went to the SharonvilleCoonvention Center last weekend to see the 'My Furry Valentine pet show. It was my first time at this convention center, and I was impressed! To be honest, I had forgotten about this venue, as most of my convention adventures are downtown at the Duke Energy Convention center. This one is a little closer to home! Tucked right off of 275, this convention center has easy access and tons of parking around the building. For this particular event, we were not able to use the back entrance is to enter the building, as they had all visitors go in through the front doors in order to pay admission for the pet show. It was raining a bit, but it was not a problem, as there were areas of the building you could walk under to stay dry. Lots of room and event rooms within the building, as well as several bathrooms. There was a front desk with information about this specific show, but I am sure that it is also a place of information for various events around town. read more

Nice convention center if you can get inside. Parking is nearly impossible for any major event they try to host. Your choices include driving around and around in circles, stalking someone leaving as they walk to their car, or park a mile away in a tow zone and pray your car is still there when you return. Parking is horribly under planned and the current layout just doesn't work. Avoid this place for any event that'll attract more than a few hundred people. read more

I attended the Shared Services Summit presented by Hamilton County recently at the Sharonville Convention Center. It was the first opportunity I had to see the center since the major expansion. This venue is incredible. The design team on this project thought of everything....the exterior is gorgeous, and parking (even with two separate events scheduled) is abundant and convenient to the entrances. The interior finishes are beautiful, making this the perfect place for small or large events. read more

The Sharonville Convention Center is small but serviceable for up to medium sized conferences and trade shows. Some are worth more than others. I like the 20th Century Cincinnati show which has sellers of mid-century modern furniture and home accessories. However, I have an aversion for shows that charge to enter what is essentially a mall to buy stuff. It's a little like paying to get into a flea market. CRAZY! The last visit was for the recent Greater Cincinnati Remodeling Expo. Much smaller than the Cincinnati Home and Garden Show at Duke Energy Center, but with way fewer people, the crowd is manageable. Also, it's very well laid out with a clear start-to-finish path to follow from the entrance, through rooms to rooms and out the other end. That ensures you don't miss a thing. I like that. I do wish the vendors would be better curated, though. There's hardly a need for so many gutter guard businesses taking up valuable space. There's an overabundance of other duplicate goods and services as well that could probably be whittled down. I guess, in the end, though, that's good for the consumer to be able to easily compare them and price them out. All in All, the Sharonville Convention Center is A-OK...not great, but with definite advantages over the big show places. Considering the size, this is actually a very well laid out Convention Center. The event I attended here, was terrible. Much to large for the space, and certainly lacking in crowd control. But, the Center itself has a good layout. The availability of Restrooms is rather limited from what I could see - and hard to find if the halls are crowded. read more

Attended a 2 day work event here and was pleased with the venue overall. The size is manageable to navigate and no issues with audio/visual or other logistics. Catering (by Ovations) was above average. The bathrooms were the only below average part--very unpleasant odor and fixtures operated inconsistently (auto flush didn't always work, had to fiddle with sensor faucets and soap, etc). read more

I've been here for a couple of events. A psychic fair and most recently the Best of the north food tasting. I think that I liked the psychic fair layout better. Because at Best of the North, They had cut off the room so there really was not much space to move around with all of the people and the booths. It was a snug fit, where most of the time you had to wait your turn to go opposite ways. The food and everything was OK, and the portions were a nice size thought. The overall building is pretty big and spacious , they have several entrances upstairs and down stairs that you can enter, and I do like the big staircase in the front. read more
