This seems like a great venue. We were there on a hot day and was thrilled to find that the show was indoors. Thank goodness! We were there early for VIP. The process seemed well organized. We were in the first row. My only issue is the speakers were extremely loud. I know... it's always a risk when sitting in the front row, but the volume was truly extreme. For the size of the venue, that volume was not needed. That said, the call for loudness most likely came from the performer. As awesome as it is to be upfront to see the "whites of their eyes", it's probably best to sit a bit further back... or remember to bring cotton. We've only been here once, but I wouldn't hesitate to return for other artists. And I think I'd enjoy an outdoor show provided the weather was just right.

I'm here for the Northern Kentucky Chamber 7th annual Women's Initiative Regional Summit. It's a beautiful and clean space. We are seated at large round tables with plenty of space in between the tables. Great lighting and visual effects. A stage and screens to see the speaker. Good sound and easy to hear the presenter. Would recommend this space for other type activities. Heck I could see a band or other types of performance in this space.

What a nice view of the City. General Admission/Lawn seating.

We got tickets to see Lyle Lovett on a Friday night. Perfect for general admission/Lawn tickets because the weather was so nice. They have a parking garage so I am not sure of pricing. We decided to park at the Newport on the Levee garage which was cheaper. It was only two blocks to get there. It was kind of confusing finding the entrance. We went through the garage and took the stairs. It was on the 2nd floor. The staff was really friendly and security was fair. I like the set up of the venue. Very open and spacious. Lawn was well treated and cut. Not as big as Riverbend but the seats looked narrow. They had two sections where you can get drinks. The main section in the front is where they do both food and drinks. For food, I only saw that they served Larosas pizza. I thought drinks were expensive. For 24 Oz beer and two canned wines was for $43.00. Expected for all the venues we've been to. There was small section where they sold fan stuff/ T-Shirts (small tent). Doors opened at 6:30 pm however the show did not start until 8:40 pm. Not sure why. There was no opening act. The sound quality was really good though. Easy access to get to the bathrooms. You can't miss it. Overall, it was a good experience and we had a lot of fund. We are thinking of coming back in September to see Cake.

    Almost time for the show.

My lady and I scored some Lyle Lovett tickets here and we were stoked about checking the place out. I'd heard all good things overall so my expectations were a bit high. Did this place deliver? Mostly. Good venue overall and one I wouldn't mind revisiting for a future concert. My only gripes about it are the difficulty finding the stage and the overpriced libations. Though I really like that they have both an indoor and outdoor stage area. We went on a Friday evening and got there a little after the gates opened at 6:30pm. We, along with a group of other concert-goers, had a bit of a Spinal Tap moment (HELLO, CLEVELAND!!!) trying to find out how to get to the outdoor stage. After some twists and turns and general confusion, we found our way there. For an outdoor stage venue, it doesn't feel huge, and actually feels a bit intimate. It didn't look like there was a single bad seat in the house, even in the general admission lawn area. Though paying $43 for a beer and two canned wines seems a bit steep. Overall they had a decent drink selection and only had Larosa's pizza by the slice for a food option. Still, the acoustics here are very good, and we really enjoyed the show. I could see us coming back here again for the right concert. We did see Cake is coming in September so we may have to get some tickets for that. I might only get one beer though and save my money for a place after the show with better libations.

On the Rocks event happening now. #OnTheRocks #SundayFunday

I went for the On The Rocks event but looks like a nice concert venue. Make sure your handbag is small. Check the website for all restrictions. The security guard was really nice so now my back was technically too large.

We picked this location initially with the guest count being are only criteria, but we were almost immediately surprised by so much more. The view, the gorgeous interiors, and the rich history were all things that finally led us to choose this as our venue for our wedding. But, above all else, was the venue owner - Roger Swonger. He went above and beyond to make our day as special as it possibly could be, and with his help, our wedding day went absolutely perfect. With just one planning session, and a couple of tours, Roger was able to guide us through the perfect day. He communicated well with all of the vendors, was able to provide an amazing wait staff, and bartender, and even thought of the small details - placing some flowers on our small wedding cake, putting a pen by the guest book, etc. Most importantly to us, as a now husband and husband duo, was finding a venue that was accepting. This was Roger to a tee - not only did he treat us with kindness, he guided us towards other LGBTQ+ friendly vendors as well. With his support and guidance, we had a wedding that completely surpassed our exceptions of what a wedding could ever look like in an area like Kentucky. I don't think there is any universe where we could have had a better wedding, and this is all thanks to Roger, and all thanks to having our wedding ceremony at Wiedemann Hill Mansion.

The mansion was decked out in full Christmas and there was ample parking. You get out of your car and the view just stops you it is so beautiful. The whole staff was so sweet during the whole wedding and I was impressed how pretty much everything came with the venue. The food from Vanderman's (SP?) was so incredibly tasty. Also loved that they had porch heaters and blankets so you could still enjoy the view and be warm. The place is perfect for a 60 person wedding and really not crowded at all.

The Backstage Event Center - Menu options were great for brunch and the add ons! The crab cakes were a crowd favorite.

I worked with Natalie after that and she went above and beyond. She was there for every question and concern I had. She was there on the day of my event and was so hands on and helpful, as well as the rest of the staff! From helping me with communication on road closures and traffic with Pride falling at the same time and day as my event, to setting up and breaking down, she was there. The Garden Room came with the patio and it was the perfect place to bring together my vision of a summer garden party. We had the perfect amount of food from their brunch options and add ons and it was delicious! We also still had the inside room to keep the food and utilize before we went outside for the brunch. Amazing time and super grateful to Natalie and her team!

I attended an after party for the Heart Mini here that was sponsored by my work. The space is open and inviting. I'm not sure what the capacity is but if definitely felt like if accommodated a decent number of people without cramping us together. The floor was perfect for dancing and the bars were easily accessible. The catering quality was good. We had three different types of sliders (pulled pork, ham and cheese, and veggie) all were good. They had an excellent selection of cheeses and the desserts were petite and fantastic (perfect size for trying a few). The Mac and Cheese was good but maybe a bit garlicky. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The service was friendly and efficient. This event center is definitely worth a look!

Our profound thankfulness and admiration held for the team's efforts are beyond words. From the inception of the wedding planning journey, The Monastery demonstrated exceptional thoroughness and clear communication with us as a couple and with all third-party vendors. They created a seamless and stress-free planning process, allowing us to savor the anticipation of our special day. Special thanks to Ali and Trevor for always being available to promptly address any inquiries. The culinary experience at The Monastery was an absolute standout, with countless guests praising the exquisite hors d'oeuvres, the tempting grazing table at the cocktail hour, the well-stocked and quick-moving bars, and, especially the dinner itself, which exceeded restaurant quality. I still dream of the aged cheddar mashed potatoes! The chef's ability to provide a one-of-a-kind food experience is truly unmatched, making The Monastery an unparalleled choice for hosting weddings. The service staff was exceptional, working tirelessly and offering warm smiles that made us, as the guests of honor, feel truly special. The natural beauty of the building itself is enchanting and enough of a reason to book with The Monastery, but it's the dedication and top-notch service from every member of the staff, both administrative and service, that elevates The Monastery to a league of its own in terms of wedding venues. From my perspective as the bride, everything unfolded flawlessly- but I am fully aware that there was a tremendous effort behind the scenes to ensure this smooth and seamless experience. Doug Betz, the owner, made a strong vow to my parents during our initial tour years ago - a commitment to treat our wedding with the same attention as he would his own children's weddings. It instilled trust and admiration for The Monastery from the inside out. I can genuinely affirm that Doug and the entire team not only upheld this promise but surpassed it. My husband and I are confident that any couple who chooses The Monastery is in for a once-in-a-lifetime, smooth, delicious, and thoughtful experience.
