Everyone gets the cinnamon twisp and for good reason.

Baked goods taste so good in the North Cascades! There are a number of good bakeries, using local ingredients, and Cinnamon Twisp delivers. Loved the namesake Cinnamon Twisp - so much so we had it two mornings in a row! With the high demand, you will get a freshly baked warm one and it's sweet, gooey and flavorful. We also had one of their sandwiches - Hart's Pass Ham and Swiss: Swiss cheese, smoked ham, red onion, sprouts, cucumbers, garlic aioli, sea salt and pepper. Great combination and also the bread was so good (Italian farm loaf). We also had this two days in a row :). Definitely stop by here when in the area!

I think the cinnamon twisps were worth the hype. Got mine heated and it was cinnamony, chewy, and not too sweet. My ham and cheese quiche was just so so and a little too expensive for the portion size imo. Tasted like it needed more seasoning. Not bad though! Heard the coffee was good. You get a discount if you bring your own mug. Got pretty busy around 8:45am on a Thursday. I think this is a must try place in Twisp.

pretty great pastries. Would definitely recommend the cinnamon twisp, their main thing, best warmed up. The quiche and artichoke stratas were tasty as well. Panini was amazing the first time I had it, a little less so the second time (a lot drier and less flavorful) but I'd give it another go. Muffin was a little dry but had a nice exterior. Drinks were way too sweet, would not recommend.

Stopped by after visiting the Twisp farmers market and was so delighted by this bakery. They have tons of food options ranging from sandwiches, pastries, and cookies etc. the cinnamon Twisp was a favorite. They also offer espresso, I got a latte but the milk was way too hot which sort of ruined it for me! Plenty of space inside and friendly staff made this a highlight.

    Oat milk latte to go.

I'm so incredibly glad that multiple friends told me to check it out because I listened and not only visited but made a point to stay in Mazama which allowed me to soak in the full experience of this magical remote mountain town. The Mazama Store is located right in the center of town (which feels like something out of a postcard) and offers so much more than I thought. It's a rustic yet curated general store with a mix of groceries, local wines and craft beers, gifts and artisan goods, fresh baked treats, a coffee bar, hot food, outdoor gear, and even gas pumps outside. There's also a trail register for the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) thru-hikers which I could have stood and read for hours. Overall, the Mazama Store is part cafe, part supply stop, part community hub - and 100% worth the visit. I started my experience by snagging one of their famous sea salt baguettes (absolutely live up to the hype and then some) and then wandered outside to place a coffee and lunch order. I was pretty hungry after hiking Maple Pass Loop and driving over to Mazama so I opted for a Caramon latte and a pulled pork sandwich, which much to my delight was served on a heavenly sea salt baguette. Every bite was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. Honestly, I can't tell you which part of the meal was my favorite because everything was so good!! We grabbed a table in the shade outside and enjoyed our food while watching hikers, bikers, and families filter in and out of the store and dining area. The vibe was super relaxed and friendly. Whether you're stopping in after a long hike, fueling up for an adventure, or just soaking in the beauty of the North Cascades, the Mazama Store delivers on all fronts. I just wish I was able to hike more in the mountains surrounding Mazama and/or that this place didn't close at 6pm! Overall, it is pretty rare to find a place that blends all that the Mazama Store is so effortlessly. It is a true gem and if you're even thinking about passing through Mazama, make this a non-negotiable stop. And, of course, do yourself a favor - grab an extra sea salt baguette... you'll thank me later!

On day one, my friend and I made a pitstop during a bike ride and split the marionberry pop tart which was huge and as delicious as it sounds - flaky and not overly sweet. The next day, we went back and shared the cinnamon bun (which lives up to the hype) and a slice of quiche that was flavorful, filling, and a great balance of hearty and light. I also ordered a hot latte which gave me the energy I needed for another day of exploring! The service was a little hit or miss - friendly but inconsistent. I can understand, though, as this place gets busy and the employees were very clearly working hard to keep up with orders. I appreciated the day old bin which is not only budget friendly but perfect for PCT hikers! The Stehekin Pastry Company felt like a true community hotspot as I saw locals, visitors, and PCT thru-hikers all gathering over coffee and baked goods. All in all, Stehekin Pastry Company is pretty much a must visit when you're in Stehekin. There is great food and a great atmosphere in one of the most beautiful, remote places you may ever visit.
