Our reusable Cinemark popcorn and drink in the lobby (there are a few tables and chairs)
    Shannon H.

In American Fork, we have a dollar theater everyone calls "Sticky Shoes" (I haven no idea what the real name of it is, and we've lived in the area over a decade) because the floor is sticky from spilled food and beverage. Feels like you're walking on the back side of a Post-It note. The Spanish Fork Cinemark shall be referred to as "Sticky Arms" because of the stickiness of the concession counters. There were at least 8 people working concession on a light Monday night (there were about 15 people in the lobby at one time between 7:15 - 8pm). With all those workers (who were all nice and doing their best!) and minimal customers, I would expect the counters to be free of stickiness (of course there's the occasional piece of popcorn). I put my arm on the counter to hear the employee and got my suede shirt stuck in soda goo (it had been there a while because it was tacky). I asked for a towel that's not paper to clean it off (the paper would just rub off into tiny bits), which took several minutes and a conversation with a bunch of workers (including a couple manager types) to figure out what to do. When the employee finally came back from behind closed doors, she handed me a dry washcloth - but hey, it was clean, so I nicely asked if she could get it wet for me. Beyond concessions was a disappointing theater (4) viewing experience. It's not theater seating... all the reclining chairs (which don't go back far enough) are on the floor. We had to stretch our necks upward for our 3+ hour movie (Avengers End Game) instead of comfortably look forward. We won't come back to this theater unless they change the viewing experience.

For a new major chain theater, it's shocking that they do not have stadium seating. Might be a dealbreaker for a lot of people. The seats aren't terrible but definitely not as comfortable as other Cinemark theaters. Sound and picture were good but it seems like it's hard to sit through a long film with the weird high viewing angle of the screen. Who designed this setup? Food is pretty much what you expect but the staff were friendly and they do have kettle corn as another popcorn option.

This is a great place to watch movies. The chairs are comfy and the staff is great! I'd definitely recommend sitting in the center or back.

Went to see our second movie this summer. The seats were so comfy and I love how the isles are big so I don't feel like I am tripping over people to get to my seat. Great place to be to beat the heat!! Totally recommend!! Can't wait to go back!!

We ordered tickets online & just scan a code right here- zero line & super easy!

Having a membership to the movie club made it so we didn't have to pay any online fees. When we got to the concession counter, we asked questions about what was available and then stood there. No one came to help us. All of the staff had their backs turned to everyone standing at the concessions counter, and they were talking with one another. I had to walk to the end of the counter ask them for assistance to get one of them to turn around to help the five people that were waiting for concession help. There were no heated food options available only popcorn. They clearly were not ready for the evening movie crowd, and our movie was sold out. Upon arriving in the theater, we found it clean, but after sitting down for a few moments, we realized it was quite hot in the theater. I went out and told the woman taking tickets. She had a radio and she said thank you for telling me we will take care of it. We proceeded to sweat for the next two hours during our movie. I'm not sure what was wrong in that theater, but it was one of the hottest movies I have ever sat through. We did alert the staff to the issue multiple times and nothing was changed. When walking out of the theater, we found the building to be fully air-conditioned but something was wrong in that particular theater. Theater 12 has issues and the staff did nothing to fix it So if you want to sweat through your movie, have no concession options or support, please go to this leader

The seats are a lot more comfortable now and I appreciate all of the movie options that they have as far as times go. The only downside is that the popcorn has increased in price. Their popcorn is still my favorite compared to other movie theaters in the area. I typically always prefer to come to this theater. I do not like the American Fork Cinemark so it's nice to have this one only around a 15 minute drive away!

As a seasoned Sundance Film Festival alum, the Prospector Square theater is always my favorite…read morevenue at the festival. Why? The seats are old movie seats so they are comfortable, they are arranged in tiers so you have a clear view of the screen, the screen is an adequate size, the projection and sound is clear, the ticket holder and waitlist lines are indoors and out of the cold, and there's a snack bar in the lobby. Even better, there's a free shuttle bus stop directly outside the door and the terrific Grub Steak restaurant across the street. Clean, large restrooms too. What's not to love?

Wow! I'm really doing it! I'm Sundancing, gang. Full disclosure, I've been so happy recently I'm…read morebeginning to fear for my Yelp integrity (wink/wink). Everywhere I walk I've got FIVE STARS on the brain. Night two of "high culture" at the festival is in the books & I gotta say I feel about 10lbs smarter already. Prospector Square is far more intimate than Eccles Theatre so the lines aren't nearly as long & you don't have to stand in the cold. They also offer concessions while you wait and you can bring your goodies into the show! Eccles seats a little over 1300 people & is JAM PACKED for each showing. Prospector Square seats about 360 movie fans. My guess is if your film plays at Prospector Square during Sundance, it's like making the JV squad in high school. Coach Redford gives you a pat on the butt and says - "You're getting there little buddy. Now go home, practice dribbling with your left hand and come back when you're four inches taller." I didn't really know what to expect sitting down for this film. The Hollywood businessman who brought me to Sundance told me that "all of these films are kind of the same." I hate to say it but he was wrong! While this film was ALSO very slow, methodically paced & dramatic, the miserable situation was COMPLETELY different. This film dealt with a bastard fisherman who suffered from severe muscular dystrophy and lived with his poverty stricken mother who forbid him from spending time with his childhood love. AND it was in Spanish! Talk about ART! I think most of the foreign films play at this theater (JV). There's something about subtitles that just thrusts the misery of a situation right out into the audience. It's tricky watching subtitles, though. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to being paying attention to the faces the actors are making or the little text that's shooting across the screen. Sometimes I get confused & start making my own faces while reading the dialogue. No matter how I handle it I know I'm smarter for trying. They had a Q&A w cast and crew but I didn't stick around. I was exhausted from reading. Hola Amigo! You'll get 'em next year. So much culture. Prospector Square gets FIVE STARS!!

The theater itself was great, it has a more complete food and snack counter with more food options than the typical theater junk food, and of coarse all he treats and drinks. Our seats were very comfortable (recliners) and the screen we had (may have been an IMAX) was very large. Sound was good, not just loud. Ok, it was over loud like most theaters today but it also was tight and clear. After our movie some of our group grabbed ice cream and others got burgers and fries from the businesses that are right out front. Then we at around a fire pit and ate our food while enjoying the fire. I think there were several fire pits to enjoy. Despite bing a large complex with lots of stores parking was easy and close the door too.

So at the register to pay you CANNOT pay with cash so DONT bring no cash here…read more Anyways, the seats in the theater are very nice, but the heating and the reclining back is very iffy, you have to press the buttons multiple times sometimes. And at the register the card we use didn't work?? Don't know if that was at fault of the company, the theater, or the register itself (it may be the card but I don't believe so because there was money on it and it still declined?). The experience was okay at best, though I would just choose to go to the Saratoga Springs Fatcats. Though the snacks and drinks were good. 4 stars.
