My mother and I were on are way back to our hotel from exploring Utah when we were stopped by the Utah Police. The police officer explained to us that the road would be closed for several hours due to a motorcycle accident and a death had occurred so he suggested we go see a movie. Are hotel was located in a canyon and there is only one way in and out from the hotel. We decided to go see Fly Me to the Moon with Tantum Channing. I went to order and she immediately went "I already got your order so step away from the counter now." I responded "I haven't ordered ..." For years, the closest movie theater to me was the Thanksgiving Point Megaplex. I forgot how nice movie theaters can be until I went to this Cinemark. That is not meant to knock Megaplex at all. I am simply saying that Cinemark is more up-to-date, and I appreciate that. This Cinemark location is in a wonderful location. We went to Sol Agave for dinner and then we were able to pop right into the theater from there. There is other places to eat dinner in the area so you don't have to drive very far to the movies afterwards. Also, there is a Five Below right across the street in case you want to have snackies with your movie. This Cinemark in particular also has an arcade to the left when you walk in. This is an awesome added feature that not all current theaters have. They have your typical overpriced concessions. I found they had Peace Tea here, which is something that I didn't think was in Utah at all. So I did end up getting a can of Peace Tea for a whopping $5 lol. My friends and I also all split one of the kettle corns. I am not sure how many other theatres do this but we have found that Cinemark has the tastiest, highest quality kettle corn. I prefer it over the regular butter popcorn to be honest! The seating was extremely comfortable. As I mentioned in the beginning of this review, that is what I love about Cinemark's. The seating is always super spot on! The movie was great as well. I need to keep Cinemark in mind for my next outing. read more

I typically visit the Cinemark closer to me in West Jordan, but the movie that I wanted to see was only playing at a decent time in American Fork, so I made my way out there. It's nice to have options! I am a member of the movie club, so buying a ticket is super easy, and I can select my seat from my phone. It turns out that a Monday night is a perfect time to have the theater to yourself-which is just what I experienced. It's pretty nice to be able to stretch out and take up all the space I want. Speaking of space, I love the reclining seats. However, like another reviewer said, the back reclines just enough to tease you. I would have loved it if it would recline just a bit more. read more

The theater was packed and excited to see this suspense thriller. I lived the sound of people gasping or yelling at the screen. I miss the community that is brought together when watching a movie in the theater. What I like about this theater in particular is how close it is to great shopping- Home Goods, TJ Max's, Marshall's, Michaels, and Bed Bath and Beyond! It is also right off the freeway so it's easy to get to and easy to get home. The staff is nice and the theater is very clean. They do have a great deal if you have their membership which I have considered many times- maybe after all this is over, I will get it! read more

Best place to see a movie in the AF/Lehi/PG area. What really sets this Cinemark apart is that every theater has recliner seating with comfortable, wide, & customizable reclining positions and all at regular price. Great sound & digital picture quality. I've seen tons of movies here and never experienced technical difficulties. Good viewing angles from all seats. For concessions, I like that they have both regular popcorn (butter can be added) and kettle corn. I actually like a mix of both. They have a reusable cup for drink refills which is a good deal and all large popcorns include a free refill. Staff is usually pretty good for this pay rate. If there was anything I wish they could improve at this theater, it would be to carry more of the less popular releases. I would rather come here for all my movies but have to travel to other places because if it isn't a major blockbuster, it won't play here. I'd love to see Fathom Events, indie's, & more eclectic releases you typically have to go to Jordan Commons or Cinemark 16 in Provo to see. read more

So far everything was great! The area was clean and the seats were recliners and the employees were very nice and professional. However, the cushion that was on the recliner felt a little uncomfortable on my neck (awkward position for my neck and head). Other than that, everything was great. Could also do a bit better with food items, wasn't too impressed by the options. I'm giving it five stars because the main niche for the business is movies (big plus - not too many people), food is something I get before the movie in my opinion. If you are wanting to get good food options at a theater, I'd try Megaplex. Saw MIB International and although the movie had great surround sound, it wasn't that good, I don't recommend watching it...was a bit predictable and honestly wasn't that funny or entertaining. We received a few tickets as a prize and decided to make it a family affair. We have gone a few times in the past but typically choose a different franchise for many different reasons, here's why. We have never been impressed with the concessions. The popcorn is rarely fresh maybe it because they aren't super busy and don't have a need to pop it fresh often. The steps up to our seats were steep and the stairs themselves were tall. It's hard for me these days to climb stairs and I almost couldn't make it to our seats. Many people talk highly about the recliner seating but I find them very uncomfortable. I find that the cushion behind your head makes your head sit forward in a weird position enough that my neck hurt when I left. I also sometimes prefer to just sit normal with my feet on the floor but couldn't do so because the seat is far too long making it so my feet couldn't touch the ground. We didn't have so much of an awful time we just prefer other theaters over this one. The staff was pleasant but not super friendly and actually seemed disturbed when we asked them questions. read more

I'm lovin' the trend to put recliners in movie theaters. The experience is so much better when you can kick back and put your feet up. Plus, each seat is nice and roomy, so I had a place to stick my purse and coat without feeling too squished or having to put them on the dirty floor. Otherwise, average movie-going experience with no major complaints. The place seemed clean enough, they put in self-service kiosks which helped with the lines, you get to pick your seats ahead of time. and the movie itself was quality--no issues with sound or image resolution. The limited interaction I had with theater staff was courteous. And hey, if you're running a little late, it's not a big deal because of the eternal promo material at the beginnings. I'm a fan of trailers so this doesn't bug me--plus, we were able to last-minute (7:20) purchase tickets for a movie that started at 7:05, and still managed to be in our seats for the actual film's beginning. Two warnings: first, as in other parts of the service industry, movie theaters count Thursdays as part of the weekend, so they will charge you accordingly. Second, if you're one of those moneybags that wants to buy $8 popcorn, be sure to arrive early, because the concession lines are long and not very fast. read more

The seats at Cinemark are the best! So soft and comfortable. I love taking my kids my this theater because they are always way more better behaved sitting in chairs that recline. Price for adults is $11 and kids is is $7, which is pretty fair in comparison with what movies cost these days. They usually have fun collectable cups and popcorn buckets. This is a pet peeve of mine that is applicable to restaurants--and also movie theaters! In fact this note is for the managers of restaurants--and movie theaters. When a customer asks for recommendations, what movie is better than the other, DO NOT have employees tell customers, "l don't know, I don't watch many movies! It's like when I go to a restaurant and I ask the waiter/waitress, "What do they recommend?" And they then say, "I'm not sure, I haven't tried much of the food." Come on! Managers! Best theatre out there! Movie heaven! An experience like no other. You go in excited to see a new movie, they have a large tub with one free refill (you can save that tub until the next time you come), and then you go sit in these amazingly comfy recliner chairs and everyone gets one for the standard price of an normal movie! No extra charge! It's also so clean! This is where we always go and location is amazing since it's a stones throw away from so many food options! Can't say enough good things about this place... did I mention the picture and sound are great, and they have an arcade if you like that sorta thing? And there is a cookie place next door as well as a pizza place! Did I say heaven already? And plenty of parking close! read more

There is a little arcade to the left as soon as you enter the foyer. The lines aren't too long for the concessions. The popcorn is huge and they have a butter dispenser where you can put more butter on the popcorn if you desire. The seats recline and are very nice. We go to the movies about 4 times a month. Usually we go to the Megaplex. We have a bucket and mugs there. Then I heard they had reclining seats at the Cinemark AND they were every seat and didn't cost extra! I'm in!! First thing I noticed was that the kettle corn wasn't as good as from the Megaplex. There aren't as many seats in the theaters. Probably because they need more room for the recliners but that means less people can get in. Seats are roomy and comfortable. Lots of aisle room. Restrooms were clean. Staff was extra helpful and courteous. I didn't feel rushed like at the Megaplex. Not sure I would be able to pick one over the other. They each have good and bad. I will definitely be returning to the Cinemark. I heard they have yearly buckets too so I need to head over and see if I can get one (Apparently they sell out fast!) Good luck! read more

I bought tix online but was unable to make that showing in hopes of using it for a later time, same day. i called & asked and whoever i spoke with said yes, as long as i come in on the same day i can use the tix but may not have the same seats that i chose for the earlier showing. So, we show up and i explained the situation to Hunter, i even showed him the email i sent to online CS. Unfortunately, i didn't see the part where CS said i could NOT transfer the tix for a later showing and that i would have 30 min before the movie started to cancel the purchase and wait for a refund 3-6business days and RE-PURCHASE the tix if i still wanted to watch the movie. I wish we could get popcorn for less then $8, but that is universal with movie theaters. Update as of 1/2/2018: I have to say that I really quite enjoy this theater now. They have installed reclining chairs and I always get good service from their concession workers. The popcorn is still pretty darn expensive. For some reason the workers claim they are unable to butter the popcorn, but I am able able to request it at every other cinemark without issue. Also, I noticed that the last time I visited there was no one checking tickets. Perhaps they were busy that day. I think with present situations as they are it is vital to always have someone on duty checking tickets. You have to make sure there are no dangerous or overly inebriated movie-goers(people who would cause distraction or an unsafe family environment). read more

A bit of backstory is in order for this review. Every year my wife and I have made it a point to take all of our kids and grandkids to see the latest Star Wars movie around Christmas time. Which turns out to be quite a few people. Previously we had been going to another theater that had luxury seats and buying all of those thickets. But this year we decided to change up based on a recommendation we received about this theater. And are we ever glad we did. First of all, we were able to buy all of the tickets for our group at one shot on the website in a single transaction. A big step up from the experience at the place we used to go which limited the number of tickets you could buy at once to less than we needed. Next was the comfort and arrangement of the seats. It's great to be able to pick from a whole theatre of luxury seats and not be limited to just a few rows in the middle, And I also loved that I only had to flash the barcode on my phone to get us all inside and not have to go to a kiosk to print out all our tickets. My only complaint was that while the staff at the concession stand was friendly there was nowhere near enough staff there. Several movies were starting at similar times and the backup was unreal. I waited over 15 minutes just to get to the counter to place my order so it was a really good thing we showed up early. All in all though a great movie watching experience and I highly recommend this location. We we certainly be back. read more

There aren't any men's bathrooms, not even ONE behind the ticket checker. So if you lose your ticket stub or there are two other men using the bathroom you're SOL. There are two family bathrooms, but you're either left holding it and missing more of the movie, or holding it. There are only two women's bathrooms.
