We had our own reception at the Bungalow 28 years ago in February and it was awesome. Jane Robinson, proprietor, took care of everything. It was beautiful, elegant, and my memories are of a perfect event. Fast forward 25 years. My oldest daughter's wedding and reception are being planned. I wanted to be fair and not push any single venue so we explored many options. We were very close to committing to one of them but I wanted her to see the Bungalow first. Jane is still the owner but she's no longer a one woman show. She's trained other younger ladies to take care of the details. My daughter saw the grounds (which we didn't use in February 25 years earlier and I'm sorry we rushed our wedding after seeing it in June), the beautiful setting, the details, and fell in love. As the mother of the bride, let me tell you what I loved. First of all, Jane was even more gracious than before, especially when she knew I was one of "her" brides. Second of all, the elegance remains yet updates have been made including a sound system and a monitor for any videos the couple may want to play. Best of all is that it is stress free! I bought table linens but they really weren't necessary. We provided centerpieces on the tables but they weren't necessary, either - we just wanted pictures of he couple. We did a little decorating but didn't have to. Everything was set up PERFECTLY. We opted for sweet crepes which were divine. My 92 year old aunt who is very authentic told me she's never been to a reception that had such delicious food. Service was excellent. There were multiple people working in the food area and hustling so there were always fresh crepes and sweet manna to put into or on top of. They were working the tables, clearing, cleaning, replenishing. A table for guest book and gifts, including a bird cage for gift cards adorned the entry of the venue. The flow pattern was such that guests could easily get to the couple, congratulate them, then work over to the food and tables. I can not rant and rave enough about the beauty. There was dancing with a state of the art sound system. When it was all over, my sisters and their husbands loaded our car with the gifts, I gathered the few decorations that were ours, took the wrapped remnants of the wedding cake, took my daughter's wedding dress from her, and we went home. Long day. Perfect reception. Virtually no set up or clean up.

The acoustics are better outside; once you go inside it echoes quite a bit. It's a small space, but they do a nice job to make it inviting and attractive. I'm looking forward to attending other events here in the future.

The location itself is beautiful--the setting against the mountains is genuinely stunning, especially around sunset. The space is thoughtfully decorated, the seating was comfortable, and the soda station was a standout detail that guests really enjoyed. Overall, the aesthetic and atmosphere are very charming. However, the biggest issue--and unfortunately the one that defined the experience--was the sound. The indoor acoustics are extremely poor. The space functions like an echo chamber, with noise bouncing off the walls to the point where even casual conversation becomes overwhelming. Despite the use of a microphone, the speeches were nearly impossible to hear clearly, especially with a subpar sound system. Additionally, as the sun set, light streamed intensely through the upper windows, making it difficult to see key moments. Between the lighting and the acoustics, many guests ended up spending most of the event outside just to be able to talk and hear one another. Parking was also somewhat limited, though the location itself is convenient. It's a visually lovely venue with a lot of potential, but the sound issues indoors are significant and would need to be addressed for events like weddings where hearing speeches and connecting with others is essential.

Lodging ONLY POV review…read more Good: This is a Beautiful farm house. The esthetics are amazing for your insta and quaint place away from the town for some much needed relaxations. Can be better: So you pay "luxury" price because ofcourse it's a great looking farmhouse. But Amenities are super basic. Coffee: I didn't even know how to use that coffee machine and no creamers. No tissue box. No USB ports. I was afraid to use their towel because their rule book said, "will be charged" if there's stain or do anything else because everything had a potential "charge" The sheets were so thin I was afraid barely sleeping on them would make a hole, luckily no holes!! I am so used to staying at hotels and having these basic amenities, i thought they would be normal (my bad on not doing due diligence). But honestly if you are going to charge top prices, would be great to have some basic amenities like single serve coffee machine, creamer, or nicer sheets. Etc. Hope this helps someone to make a decision. Ofc these were my pet peeves, probably wouldn't bother anyone else. I was there to enjoy and not stress about little things!

The wedding reception took place inside the castle and was beautifully decorated. The wedding planner did an excellent job in setting up the venue. It was elegant and quite magical! I especially loved how we lit giant sparklers as the bride and groom exited to their car at the end of the evening. 5 stars for the venue and decor. The food was a different story....It was awful! All of the guests at our table who had salmon like me agreed it was so salty that it was inedible. We scrapped off the top and ate a little bit of the bottom. I ate mainly just the potatoes and bell peppers (my plate didn't have any zucchini, yellow squash, broccoli, or cauliflower like some of the other plates). Plating was bad, needless to say. The food was a disappointment, but overall, we had a great time. This was the most fun wedding I've attended in a long time. The castle was beautiful and the landscape outside was picturesque. It's the perfect place for a dreamy wedding, aside from the food. We were happy with the alcohol and dessert bar, so all is good!

I got the cheesesteak and the cheeseburger slider. Both were seasoned very good and I enjoyed both of them. I would definitely come back and order those again. I personally preferred the cheeseburger one a little bit more, however, I really enjoyed the flavors of the pepper and onions in the cheesesteak one. The bun was buttered and cooked on the grill. It was super soft! I saw that they had a lot of chicken dishes and have other reviews about those. I would like to try those out sometime as well. We also ordered a regular and sweet potato fry. I personally felt that the regular fries needed a little bit more salt. The sweet potato fries were very flavorful and I really liked them. I'm glad that I finally got around to trying the restaurant! I definitely would come back for a quick lunch.

The place has potential and the setup is charming, but if the ice cream is the main draw, they need to step it up.

Everything is so lovely and romantic! UPDATE: I came back again since I had to be in town and decided to stay in the Paris Suite (was in Rome prior) This room is just as beautiful as the last and I love the privacy. There is so much detail! I'm shocked at prior reviews because there are signs telling you what to do and how to check in if no one is there. BOTH times I was here there has always been someone at the front desk she just clicks out at 4 or so... who wants to stay at work all day anyway? Please try and give this spot a chance! My mom stayed with me this time and she also said she'd be coming anytime she's in town! It's definitely had a lot of improvements from the 3 year old yelp reviews left on here.

I happened to have a sweet deal at a Megaplex location and decided to check out the newer Megaplex in Vineyard. If you don't visit Vineyard every other Tuesday, it seems like they pop up a new building every time you blink. I have loved seeing the area expand more and more. This location is conveniently located near all kinds of restaurants and dessert shops, which is great when it is a movie theatre. On my particular visit, I went to see JoyRide and I had a premium ticket so I got the most premium seat--how exciting! I also went at like 10:30pm because I don't like sitting in a theatre with a bunch of people, especially screaming kids. I redeemed my Megaplex rewards for a popcorn refill and a drink refill. It was a bit confusing on how to redeem these items since they were paid for in advance but I didn't want people to think I was stealing either. The popcorn itself was burnt to a crisp. When I poured it out, there was all kinds of black remnants in the tub. Since when did theatre popcorn turn into such a bad option? The staff was really nice though, the movie was great, and the theatre is big, clean and new. The other Megaplex location I used to go to was super outdated and not nearly as nice. I am a bit far from this location so it is not necessarily convenient but I would prefer it over other locations just because of how nice it is. One bummer is that the parking can be tricky, just because of all the surrounding businesses that also use parking. I will definitely keep this location in mind for my next movie!
