You know those places that you wish you could hide from the public and keep it your own personal food spot? This is my place hands down. First off the staff are SUPER friendly and treat you like family. They always make sure we are happy with our meals! The food... freaking phenomenal. The tacos Al pastor are some of the best in Fairfield & westchester counties. Always flavorful and have great portions sizes! The price is super good as well! The nachos are my personal go to. Loaded with beans, cheese, and pico de gallo. No complaints! The quesabirria was very good as well! Overall one of the best pleases to get food in downtown Stamford. You BETTER check out this spot!!!

This is a cute lil spot to grab a bite! The prices were great and the food was good! The staff were friendly and the food came out quick.

Excellent spot. Very friendly and attentive service. True family hole in the wall feel but better tasting food than the fancy Stamford Mexican restaurants like puerto Vallarta. We had the Al pastor, Burris, and carnitas. Each one was amazing and very flavorful. Will definitely be back to try more options. Churros were delicious as well

Sopes (i added my own Mexican crema to the side)

This place was great! I really appreciated finding a more authentic Mexican eatery in downtown Stamford. I had the tacos, Sopes, and agua de horchata. The horchata was fantastic and alone was a big stand out. The sopes were great! Definitely will want to add more to it next time. The tacos had good flavor and the sauce was good, I wish there was a bigger meat portion as it is a lot of tortilla for not a lot of meat. Overall, my interactions with the store were great, everyone was so friendly from ordering to pick up. I would definitely come back and try other menu items. .

Went for Cinco de Mayo today - the food was incredible and the employees were all extremely friendly and attentive. We loved the guac, chicken flautas, and quesabirria, and the homemade sauces they brought to our table were delicious. We will definitely return

I've been coming here maybe 2-3 times a season since they opened about 12 years ago, but sometimes even 2-3 times A DAY. This is one of the few cafes I can confidently say is innovative while staying true to their classics. The churros are still going strong many years later, but then they're also coming out with fresh seasonal flavors all the time. Some of the best flavors of coffees I've had are at this place: jasmine matcha, maple black walnut, a proper not-too-sweet autumn spice, pistachio rose cardamom, tres leches, etc. They were doing a horchata cold brew before anyone in the area, and their alfajores cookies remain tasty as ever. I always get the espresso drinks, but their drip is great too. Food is awesome, but I wish there were more savory vegetarian options at every cafe. Still, at least it's not the same boring breakfast burrito here; the sage and manchego egg and cheese on sourdough is pretty solid. The pastries and desserts always look and taste fantastic too. live in MD but visit my parents in Stamford often, and Lorca is the spot I always find myself going to first. Plus, there's plenty of space ever since they expanded years ago, so you can bring a book and people watch the busiest street in Stamford. The service is fast, courteous, and friendly. The past few times I've gone they've been pretty slammed. They were quick but seemed maybe one person down? If they're hiring, please work here! I know their winter drinks are going to be just as good, and the holiday season gets busy. I think I need to get another autumn spice latte before I hit the Amtrak.

Today was the first time we've eaten here in years. We were seated immediately but we waited more than 40 minutes for the food to come. We watched people leave because they could not wait for their food any longer. At first, I thought a chef must have called out. When our food finally came, I was forced to look at the most unappealing home fries that were molded to the plastic container they were stored in. At least try to make them look fresh bru. And the whole restaurant was cold. I was cold. The food was cold. This place should be called COLD Street Diner, am I right? And the coffee refill came like once. In the whole hour and a half we were there. The only times someone would walk by was to clear a table, or that guy idk who he is idk if he's the owner but he was wearing balenciaga sweatpants and then he would just go stand by the register to sip on some wine. My mother ordered the huevos rancheros and they were bland asl. I ordered the birria omelette and it was BLAND EVERYTHING WAS BLAND!!! The birria was just wet it didn't taste like anything bro. We haven't been to the Norwalk location but a lady sitting next to us noticed that we weren't happy with our food and she was speculating that all the good cooks got transferred there. Whether it's the cooks to blame, or the fact that it's a busy Saturday, it's safe to say we will not be coming back.

At first I got a little anxious because the bar was so busy, and loud. what stood out most was the service from Jenna, who was honestly a great bartender and really made the night feel welcoming. I wish I could say the same for the other bartender I saw, who came off a bit uncourteous to a man who accidentally spilled his shot. I tried a couple of their happy hour bites. The pineapple chili wings were juicy, flavorful, and good. On the other hand, my friend's garlic parm was kind of dry and flat in flavor, which was disappointing. Drinks were okay, but mine felt a bit weak on the alcohol side, especially for the price. Overall, it felt a little overpriced for what we got. Once we were seated the waiter arrived asking about drinks which we declined in favor of bottled water, i ordered coffee as well and was offered 1 whole cup. Nobody came around for refill the rest of the meal We each ordered an appetizer and a main, both of our mains featuring 2sunny side up. 15 -20 minutes later BOTH entrees and my appetizer arrive WTF? After that our server just seemed to disappear. My daughter had hangar steak & eggs. I had the pork carnitas and eggs. Both our order's eggs were ordered sunny side up. Typically it's the yolks that are runny but both of our orders had runny whites as well. All this time we waited on the other appetizer to arrive. For a place that was not very busy the service was galactically awful. The food was passable but not great. The banana bread appetizer arrived as the busboy came to take our entree dishes. And that was after 2 reminders to our waiter (both appetizers were taken to go). Whoever is running this place (nobody game by asking how our meal was) should be embarrassed. When i spoke with our waiter about the abysmal service he passed it off on the busboy! There is no sense of teamwork nor pride in doing a good job. Sad.

All three were fantastic. The breakfast pizza had us craving more, and the oysters were fresh, delicious, and delicately shucked. I tried the chilaquiles and the short rib hash. The chilaquiles were very good, despite being a bit different from the red-sauce version I'm used to. But omg, the short rib hash was SO GOOD. This is an absolute killer dish. I've never been a huge fan of hollandaise sauce, but they put it on the side for me, and honestly, it blended extremely well with the flavors of the hash. The "5 O'Clock Somewhere" cocktail is refreshing and gave me a very light buzz that paired well with the delicious options we ordered. The staff is friendly and very attentive, and the spot itself is very clean, spacious, and stunning. I would definitely visit this spot again.
