The decor was really colorful and the seating was comfortable. For drinks (not pictured), my husband had the margarita and I had the freshly squeezed lemonade. Both were really good. I ordered the Mexican pork ribs, which the waiter recommended. My son had the kids meal. The Mexican pork ribs had pork ribs sautéed in tomatillo sauce, which added nice acidity to the dish. It was also served with rice, beans, and corn tortillas. The kids plate had chicken with rice and beans. He absolutely loved it, I had some of his chicken it was juicy. This place is the definition of home style meal. It just tasted like something your grandmother would make. It was super satisfying and filling. We also took churros to go. They were very crispy and came with chocolate and a light dulce de leche sauce. The restaurant was clean and the waiter was very nice and attentive. Everything came out quickly. I didn't see the bathroom. Prices were reasonable, I think for the plate size, it was a good price. We're really excited to try their brunch menu!

When we arrived the restaurant wasn't too busy, but since we made reservation we got a table right away. Inside of the restaurant looked nice, several tables and a full service bar. The menu had a good mix of Mexican and Peruvian dishes. I started with the mango butterfly lemonade that was such a tasty drink. For appetizer we got the Flautists, a dish full of cheese and guacamole, but the shells so hard from deep fry. For entree I got the steak burrito. It was huge, filled with decent steak, lots of rice and other ingredients. We also had ceviche de mariscos, which was full of semi steamed seafood items. The chicken quesadilla was actually good. The service was fine overall. Staff members checked on us time to time. The dishes came out in short intervals. Overall it seemed like a okay dining spot to me.

Steak Nachos 8.3/10 - The first thing you see when opening these nachos are a healthy serving of steak, avocado slices, and cheese. No beans to be see though, untillll you get to the bottom. Combining all the ingredients together on one chip made for the perfect bite. So so so savory. I only wish a different queso was used instead of nacho cheese to really elevate this dish. But it was still really good even with it. Al pastor tacos 7.5/10 - Okay I gotta be honest here, the pineapple CARRIED these tacos. The meat was decent in flavor but a little too dry for my liking. I was also caught off guard by the flour tortillas, which lowkey added to the dryness. With that being said, the pineapple was on point with how much it was cooked and the juiciness it provided. Paired with the radishes and green sauce these tacos went from being kinda average to pretty damn alright. Man I wish more places did pineapple as good as this place. Jamaica 8.2/10 - I normally don't order this drink because of how strong a floral taste it usually has. But for some reason I felt like taking a chance and ordering it today. I'm glad I did because I finally found a place that isn't ode with that gawd damn flower taste. The drink just the right amount of sweet with a tiny touch of sourness as well, and the floral taste came in towards the end but still wasn't as strong as I worried it'd be. Green Sauce 6.7/10 - This sauce in terms of flavor is pretty standard as they come, minus any signs of spiciness. I would also like to point out that there was basically no chunkiness to the sauce at any point. It was very watery which kinda affected how much I enjoyed it on my food. It still brought in a good flavor to the tacos and nachos. Red Sauce 7.4/10 - I'm not gonna lie chat, this sauce was spicier than i wanted to admit. I regretfully took a sip straight from the cup and had to take a minute to reevaluate the decisions that led up to this point. Even though there was a decent flavor, it was overtaken instantly but scorching fire and all signs of life were destroyed. Sinuses were clear though Overall 8/10 - I had a good experience coming to Taqueria Dos Perla's, the atmosphere was nice, the people were nicer, and the food was filling. I see a strong potential in the nachos being even better with one single ingredient change, and if they used corn tortillas for the tacos instead and cooked the meat for slightly less time and more marination, these plates can become as good as they were destined to be.

VERY simple looking from the outside but extremely inviting atmosphere and decor when you get in. It is street parking only on a busy main street. I got lucky and scored a spot directly in front of the restaurant on this rainy evening. We started with the Quesadilla with steak in a corn tortilla. This is what really brought it down from 5 to 4 stars. Keep in mind, this was the equivalent to our appetizer, so we were very nervous after this. Extremely lack luster. Disappointingly little steak and even less cheese. It was as if we were eating a piece of a corn tortilla. Avoid the quesadilla. We then shared an order of enchiladas. Things were getting better. Enchiladas were solid. Nice kick to the green sauce with pieces of pineapple to hit you with a left hook. Came with rice and beans as well. This could've been a meal but we decided to share this to try different things. The burrito was the final thing on the menu. I got the Al Pastor burrito and it was excellent. Very tasty and well put together. Only thing that struck me odd was that it came with French fries opposed to rice and beans. I kind of would've enjoyed it a lot more with the rice and beans as the fries were average at best. I ordered online as I was stuck in traffic and everything was ready when I got there, which was prior to the estimated pickup time. All in all, very solid meal and there's plenty of seating if you're looking to dine in as well.

The guacamole didn't taste fresh at all and the chicken in the flautas had no flavor. For dinner, I had the enchiladas suizas. The chicken was the same chicken used in the flautas aka flavorless and the tomatillo "salsa" did not taste like salsa at all. It actually tasted more like the "avocado mousse" that the flautas were drenched in. My husband had the carnitas michoacan and he said they were just okay/super greasy/wouldn't get them again. Both our meals were supposed to come with rice and beans, but they only bought one side for us to share. When I looked around the restaurant, it seemed like they only bring one side per table regardless of party size. This to me is a rip off especially since this place is pricey. My 2 year old was also with us and we got him chicken fingers and fries from their very limited kids options. When I asked if he can have rice and beans instead of fries, they said no. You're a Mexican restaurant - maybe put a taco option with rice and beans on the kids menu. For dessert, we got tres leches- it was fine. The only other things ordered were a cocktail and a beer. We waited SOOOO long to get the bill and even longer for someone to come back to take our payment. With tip included- our total was about $180. That is very steep for the quality and quantity of food. Sadly, I don't think we will return.

Santa Fe BK -- 4 stars…read more Walked in and immediately clocked the Zia symbol placard on the wall -- a nice touch of New Mexican context before the food even hits the table. Santa Fe BK leans into that identity, and for the most part it delivers. Drinks The non-alcoholic margarita was the standout surprise of the night -- well-balanced, properly tart, with a salted rim and lime wedge that made it feel like the real thing. If you're skipping alcohol, this isn't a consolation prize, it's a genuinely good drink. Mains The flautas were the highlight -- crisp, well-fried, and clearly cooked with care. The combo plate (tamale, a protein smothered in red sauce, refried beans, Spanish rice) was generous in portion but less distinct -- after a few bites, a pattern emerged: same base protein, same rotation of red or green sauce, repeated across dishes. Nothing was bad, but the sameness dulled the impact of what could've been a more dynamic spread. There's also a baked cheese dish -- rich, bubbling, golden on top -- that worked well as a shareable, though it leaned heavy alongside everything else. Portions & Takeaway Portions ran large enough that we left with a solid amount of food to go -- good value if you're not trying to finish everything tableside. Service Service was attentive and smooth throughout, no complaints there. Verdict A solid New Mexican spot in Brooklyn with a genuinely great NA margarita and standout flautas, slightly held back by sauce-repetition fatigue across the rest of the menu. Worth a visit, especially if you come hungry and don't mind leftovers.
