They do have some good options, especially the tostadas, and I know they have a pretty big menu with things like tacos enchiladas chimichangas and other items. But honestly, in general, this feels much more like a place you order from for takeout or through Uber Eats or another delivery app. They have an agave bar and they've tried to make the place feel more like a restaurant, but the food itself just isn't that appealing to me. There are a few things that are decent, but overall, I wouldn't choose this place for a sit-down dinner. For me, this is more of a takeout/delivery spot than a restaurant I'd go out of my way to visit. PD their churros are good !! read more

Casual place with tables, a few booths, a bar, and a takeout counter. Service is very attentive, fast, and friendly. My coconut margarita was good. The tamales de pollo were tasty enough that I finished them, and the beans seemed more homemade than out of a can. They didn't have that lardy taste and feel. I would have liked more lettuce, and maybe some sour cream, but probably best calorie-wise that I didn't have it. I wouldn't rush to go back here, but I'd eat it again if not much else was open to try. read more

Pleasantly surprised at how tasty everything was! My husband and I came in on a Mexican craving whim and really enjoyed our meals. The price point was perfect and the service was great. There's a takeout counter at the front but plenty of table seating and booths to dine in. My husband ordered the West Orange Burrito and I ordered the Pechuga A la Plancha. Our food came out perfectly and tasted great! We were very happy we found this restaurant and it will be our New Mexican go to spot! read more

Excellent lunch and service! First time here, very clean and friendly. We both had the $17.95 combo which comes with your choice of two items, served with rice and your choice of beans. Very good red sauce and the chicken was tasty. Also comes with warm chips and salsa. read more

O M G . That Salsa . I am a 38 year old man , and in my 38 years ; I never had salsa that I could simply eat with a spoon...after eating their food ... I will be living off of their salsa . Seriously. Very very yummy . All their food. Highly recommend. But make sure you order their salsa otherwise your life will lack flavor and meaning . read more

Great food and Owner is very accommodating! Also the menu selections are done very well.

My husband LOVES this place. It's vegetarian-husband approved with high merits. We recently discovered it last month. For the longest time, we'd pass by it whenever we pick up from Fortissimos and we'd say to ourselves, "Man, we should really check that place out." So we finally did a few weeks ago when we decided to grab dinner on an evening during the work week (both of us were too tired to cook). The eatery is larger inside than it looks from the outside, or seen from driving past on Pleasant Valley Way. There are tables and booth seating options. We got a booth closer to the window, which was nice. I ordered the Suiza Enchilada and Chiles Rellenos Combo, and he ordered the Vegetarian Burrito. The food was fresh, flavorful, and really hits the spot. We've also had a chance to order takeout/pickup. Solid. Fandango Mexican Grill is great! read more

I have never eaten in only to go. Have always been happy with my food. Their carne asada is very good. I love their burrito bowls and finding the one lone green bean. Theirs chips and guac are very good. My husband likes their spicy salsa and their tacos. I haven't tried their desserts but hope to soon. read more

The food was amazing. The only thing is sometimes the rice can be tasteless but other than that everything else is great. The owner and staff are always nice. The inside looks so cool especially their tables. read more

We were a larger group so I'm not taking into account service times or anything of the sort. I'm here to talk mainly about the food. I was impressed with the Al Pastor and with the Interesante tacos. Both had good flavor and good texture elements. I could barely see the chipotle sauce on the Interesante so I had to ask for more. The Birria taco? Incomplete. It tasted okay but it was dry, and who in their right mind serves Birria without consommé? Other guests in our party were equally dissatisfied with their dishes, particularly the one who ordered the Chicken Tampiqueña. Our biggest gripe though? The horchata. I asked if it was house made and they said yes, but all three of us who ordered it said it tasted funky, and all three of us had to make pit stops before we reached our final destinations. The ambiance is pretty. Some of the food tastes great. Most were misses, and three people with the runs after having the same drink means no greater than 2 stars. read more

Delicious but everything could use a pinch of salt! This local Mexican restaurant has been on my list of places to visit for over a year now! I popped in to grab lunch for the family and ordered a shrimp burrito and 3 shrimp tacos. First of all, be prepared to spend a few extra coins here because the prices are up there! The food was freshly prepared so it took my order a little while to be ready. The portions were plentiful but the flavor unfortunately was lacking. Also I felt like something was missing?! I added hot sauce and sour cream when I got home & that helped a bit. The restaurant is small and full of beautiful Mexican decor. The staff was friendly and everyone properly wore their masks which gave me a little relief. It is located in a small but busy shopping complex, so the parking is not always the best. Overall my experience here was a good one, I just wish the food was a little more flavorful. read more

Went here based upon the reviews and I do not get why they are so positive. My son had tacos-good but he said ours at home are better (we use el paso seasoning so nothing crazy). Husband had a combo platter of taco and chimi and was not impressed. I had a carne asada burrito and my main question is where's the beef. Very few tiny morsels of very tough meat scattered throughout. Tiny morsels. Like at first i thought they forgot to put the beef inside. No flavor. The lettuce inside the burrito males the whole thing cold inside. Lots of rice, lettuce and pico to make the burrito look huge. No sides. $18. The queso appetizer was watery and no flavor. The place is cute with a nice bar. Parking terrible as it is small lot and the strip mall includes a popular italian restaurant and ice cream Shop. Service was good but not a repeat dining place for us. read more

The best Mexican food around west orange! Ugh where do I begin, it was hearty, rich and beautifully tasting. I had the chimichanga with ground beef and it was everything I needed. My partner had the enchiladas and that was also tasty. The service was the cherry on top. We ate here for lunch to enjoy the ambiance and service. The energy in here was great and the service was top notch. I'll definitely be back and will order again! read more

My friend and I went on a whim. The food was great, the service was attentive and as an interior designer, I loved the table and chairs. In fact that's what threw us in aside from the other good reviews. El Bandito's was a beloved Mexican place that sadly does not exist and fandango held a good torch. Look forward to going back again. read more

Excellent food. Great service. In an area with not many mexican options Fandango is great.

Enjoyed the food! We were there in NJ for a wedding and one of the hotel staff recommended this place. Glad she did...margaritas were outstanding! I don't especially love margaritas but tried one. It was just tart enough and had a nice tequila kick. We liked their approach to nachos. It was a large tortilla chip with the toppings. It was not the typical pile of chips with the toppings. My partner and I really enjoyed their approach. read more

FINALLY FOUND A GOOD TACO PLACE NEAR ME!!! Honestly the value was amazing because these tacos were so big and around $4 a piece. The pastor taco was sooooo good and flavorful. The Burris taco had the birria meat but didn't have cheese and consommé like you'd get at other places but you don't need it because it's so moist. The flavor was great on both which I usually find to be a problem at local taco places. I also got the chips, guac, and salsa and everything was so fresh and delicious. This is definitely gonna be my new go to read more

Food was great and service was incredibly fast. I got mole enchiladas. Would definitely come back.

Some real good cooking going on over here. The burritos were huge and packed with all the goodness that you expect in a burrito. The Americano hard shell tacos were freaking awesome. The beef, cheese, pico, lettuce went very well together. Also got some chips and guacamole and damn it was real good!! read more

Picked up takeout as I have done many times. Food is always hot and fresh and ready when I get there. Best Mexican delivery hands down. Always fast, accurate and delicious. Even the nachos are still fresh and crunchy at delivery!

I love trying out new mexican places in the neighborhood. Fandango had some of the best mole sauce I've ever had. I'd say its noticeably sweeter than the others that I've tried. Although that sounds odd saying, it really worked out in the dish. The meat was very flavorful and pulled apart with ease. Id say the rice wasn't as greasy as some of the other places I've tried and the beans had a nice meaty taste to them as well - not bland at all. I can't wait to come back and try more. read more

I'm from San Antonio, Texas and after 2 years in NJ my wife and I had given up on finding decent Tex-Mex food. Then by accident we found Fandango and they came very close to perfection! We grade Mexican restaurants by their beef enchiladas and margaritas. Fandango does not sell alcohol but their enchiladas were very good! We've had several different entrees and appetizers since then and all have been good. This transplant Texan highly recommends Fandango! read more

I order from here all the time but I've never been in person. My favorites are the minichangas, the Al pastor tacos, the chimichanga queso lover, the flan, the tres leches, and the churros with vanilla ice cream. I used to always get the minichangas which are amazing. They give you three mini chimichangas cut in half. I think one's pork, one's beef, and one's chicken. They're cheesy, flavorful, and very satisfying. Then I recently got tacos and the Al pastor was my favorite. Honestly, it's perfect to me and it's more flavorful than some of the Al pastor tacos I've had in LA. The flan is great and it's the best one I've had. I can also say the same about the tres leches. I don't usually order dessert when I order takeout but now I have to get a dessert every time I order from here. Tonight I got the taco and chimichanga combo. I did al pastor for the taco and the queso lover chimichanga. They were both perfect. Here's the best part though, I got the churros with vanilla ice cream for dessert. I promise you, these were one of the best desserts I've ever had in my life. I know that sounds dramatic. I was also really hungry and had a bad day but I feel like my taste buds are pretty reliable. These churros were cooked perfectly. I'm usually not a churro girly because they're always hard and dry. These were moist, soft and delicious. The sauces complement them perfectly. Someone's going to have to lock me out of my Uber eats to stop me from ordering these at least once a week. Here's to a new food hyperfixation! Yum! read more

I hate giving low reviews, but after trying this place twice, I can say it's absolutely horrible. Tonight, I ordered a fajita with half chicken and half shrimp. The chicken is beyond overcooked. The rice is bland. The shrimp could also use some flavor. It's just horrible. Last time I ordered nachos and it's been a while since I had them so I can't remember enough to go into detail. All I remember was being utterly disappointed. read more

We were on our way to get ice cream when we smelled delicious things coming out of Fandango. So glad we stopped for dinner. The salmon burrito was huge and so tasty. We also got the street soft taco (pork with pineapple salsa) and the tilapia soft taco - they were out of this world - every bite bursting with wonderful flavors. The food here is fresh and delicious. We will def. go back when we visit family. What can I say about Fandangos.. I love this spot. As a matter of fact it's one of my favorite local places to eat in West Orange. Family operated and it seems that they employ some of the high school kids as well. Service is always super quick which helps when I'm at work and don't have much time to wait for lunch.. I can pickup and go. If you want to sit down on the other hand, EVERYONE that works here is super nice. They care about your business. It's BYOB people!! Super under estimated spot. Let's get into it. I started my Fandango career trying out their Carne Asada burrito. Ingredient wise it's got everything I know and love inside of a flour tortilla. Flavorful as hell and it's honestly in my top 3 Fandango dishes and it's not #3. I'd recommend. I've tried their tostadas, the West Orange burrito, burrito Del Mar, Cancun salmon burrito, chimichanga clasica, carne asada nachos, the tacos salad (which is served in a crispy tortilla bowl), shrimp tacos, birria tacos, interesante tacos and the pollo tropical entree. ALL MULTIPLE TIMES EACH. As you can see I like to eat. My two other favorites are the birria tacos and the pollo tropical. I can't be sure but they seem to be newer menu items (within a year in the menu). I think they're beginning to expand the menu so that's great. Pollo tropical has nicely seasoned chicken breast pared with a tropical salsa (mango, apple and pineapple) which is my favorite part. It comes with Mexican rice and I got black beans. Yo this shit is perfect for those that enjoy the sweet and savory vibes. Top 3 choice. I'm going to tell you now. If you only like birria tacos because of Tik Tok you won't get what you're expecting from the birria at Fandangos. It doesn't come with consommé unfortunately and your corn tortilla is not dipped in consommé and put on the flat top prior to service. It's essentially their short rib nicely seasoned and cooked extremely tender. It's then placed in two corn tortillas and topped with cilantro and onion. Never understood why you get two corn tortillas per taco but I'm not complaining lol. - Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong because I'm not Mexican and I'm not an expert but the Tik Tok versions I see with the melted cheese and all that is called quesabirria. Nonetheless the birria tacos also fit into my top 3 because they're juicy as hell and I tend to order more than I need. Fandangos gets a 4.4 / 5. Give them some love! read more

The food here is so delicious!! I have eaten tacos everywhere (Mexico, Texas, California) and usually only eat tacos in this region of the world. The food here is great. Authentic Mexican. The best around. However, recently, it seems as if the prices have gone up. 3 chicken taquitos (Appetizer) and a large chips and guac for $20.00? I know the cost of everything is high, and it's not easy to keep a small business going, but remember your customers are feeling it too! $16.00/17.00 would be more reasonable. Every dollar matters these days. read more

Ordered online and picked up dinner for our first long awaited meal here. Little confused at first the online order didn't say how long the wait was so we arrived about 20 minutes after we placed the order. You walk inside to register area and your food has your name attached. We ordered shrimp fajitas, fish taco soft taco, Americana hard shell taco, and steak soft tacos. The hard taco must've fell over and it got soggy. You've been warned! The steak and ground beef were seasoned well. Shrimp fajitas can feed you for at least 2 meals. Overall, solid authentic Mexican in the area. We look forward to ordering again. read more
