We've been ordering from this spot for a few months now and we're usually happy. I always get the mole enchiladas & guac chips and my husband gets the bistec tacos. We tried the steak nachos today and I was satisfied. Not the best I've ever had but good enough for a craving. Was even better when I threw the guac on top. Fresh corn tortillas with spicy chicken, topped with just cilantro and a bit of Mexican cream with a spicy sauce on the side -- careful: it's very spicy! Fresh tortilla chips with a cilantro-heavy salsa for dipping. Less than $7 at lunch and simply delicious. Staff is charming. Street parking is readily available. This is the most authentic and delicious Mexican food I have ever had. I have ordered from here countless times and have ordered different tacos, burritos, and their chicken Tinga quesadilla. So far so good for this place...we live around the corner and have seen many restaurants open and close in a matter of months at this location. I stopped in today for my very first visit because as I was picking up my dry cleaning next door a delicious smell of Latin food was in the air. I ran in and ordered two burritos, one chicken and one carnitas. The restaurant was empty but in the back they were obviously busy with preparing orders because as I said there was a delicious smell coming from the kitchen and the normal sounds of activity. My order was prepared in less than 10 minutes. The cashier was friendly and the store clean and nicely decorated with appropriate Mexican style. The prices are less than you'd expect, the burritos were $8 & $9. I picked up a heavy bag of food to leave with and was wished a Happy Thanksgiving as I walked out the door. Once home my husband and I sat down to eat and could not even finish one half of the dish. We loved how they were prepared with a rice base and flavorful seasoning on the meats. I have been wanting to try this place out since they opened and finally pulled the trigger. I was hoping it would be a good meal considering that Russillo and Cinar (two of the better restaurants in the area) are right next to this place. I must say it was very tasty. My wife spoke to a woman who suggested different dishes to sample. The steak and peppers was amazing with that sauce they make which included other items as well. Anytime I eat mexican food there is always a chance the next morning turns out to be rough on the bowl, however as i type this from my throne i am very proud to report all is well and nothing burns! They are served with traditional condiments and garnished with sliced radishes and cucumbers. The veggie tacos are terrific as well. A friend of mine ordered a steak torta that he said was great. Just like Mama used to make. He happens to be Mexican so that actually means something. My wife ordered the chicken fajitas. I know, fajita's aren't really Mexican. But they have them on the menu and they were very good. Although, they do use a different preparation than traditional Tex-Mex fajitas. Sliced chicken breast with sliced peppers and onions served in a red sauce that tasted very similar to cacciatore. Served with a side of rice and beans, of course. Their guac is amazing (i recommend the spicy one!) and the chips are home made - and not too salty; our party of 5 included trying the chicken fajitas, pork tacos, chicken tacos and beef quesadilla... everything was excellent and tasted authentic. I've driven by Rincon Azteca a bunch of times and finally stopped in for dinner with my family. I wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful murals they had painted on the walls of the welcoming dining room. The waitress greeted us as soon as we arrived and told us to sit wherever we wanted. She quickly came to take our drink and app order. We tried the chorizo tacos and guacamole with chips. The tacos were so good and filled with chorizo, I would definitely recommend trying these. The guac has tomato and onion and was a big sized scoop - it was alright, but lacked flavor in my opinion. As an entree, I had the enchiladas en salsa verde, which came with three enchiladas, rice and beans. The enchiladas were filled with chicken in a pool of the salsa verde - it was super good, but the salsa verde was a little too spicy for me. The rice and beans had great flavor and were a nice addition to the dish. They have a bunch of options on the menu, so I'll be back to try other dishes, but I do wish they would include descriptions of what the dishes are on the menu because I ended up having to Google most of them. read more

But I'm getting ahead of myself because she kindly directed me to the seating area (which is a little "cold" but colorful) she gave me freshly fried nachos and spicy, delicious salsa to excite my pallet. The torta was a breaded chicken sandwich with jalapeño, tomato, lettuce, avocado, onion & cheese. Very out of the ordinary but it after watching the chef prepare it, it came out quickly. Wow! Very good and real authentic tasting! Love the many options and for the price, you definitely get a great portion size. Service has been great and everyone in there is so nice and friendly. My wife and I miss some of the authentic Latin food from where we previously lived, so we are so happy Rincon Azteca is here. My favorite are the tacos, my wife loves the Sopes, and my daughter is a big fan of the quesadillas. I'd def recommend the nachos as an app as well. There is usually plenty of parking in front, on the side street(Dodd), and right behind the restaurant.
