They have good customers service. The server was nice, he was just busy before I can order. But nice. Went in to order my food. Took 5-6 minutes until it was ready. So pretty quick. Just wish the AC was on during the June warm weather. The bathroom (Mens) was small, but clean. Will come back. read more

Very likely the best tacos I've had outside of Mexico. My kids and I stopped by after a late swim meet one Saturday night and arrived as they were preparing to close. We asked for two orders to go and an horchata. Everyone was so hungry that we tore into our food in the car and were blown away at how delicious the simple chicken tacos with onion, cilantro and cheese were. The horchata was fantastic and nicely flavored with more than that simple sweetness. We'll be back to dine in as soon as we can! read more

Stumbled upon Tacos Locos with a friend years back. I went there so often that a couple times the owner would turn to an employee and tell him that I speak Spanish. It's funny every time because of the shock upon carrying a conversation. More of a takeout to go spot than sit down, but the tacos are so filling, flavorful, fresh, and it hits the spot every time. Their portion sizes are large. I have yet to explore much of the menu because the tacos are just that good! If you've never had jamaica (hibiscus tea) you should try it if they have it in season! The tres leches is great as a dessert too. Definitely stop by to quell latin food cravings! You won't regret it. read more

I got birria tacos with cheese 10/10 would def get them again. The service was good I order over the phone so it was a fast in an out.

Small little place with great customer service, delicious food and a great menu selection everything was plated nicely and flavors were great! We will definitely return. read more

Been craving Al Pastor Tacos for a minute and since this place had great ratings and was on the way home, I decided come through. The stainless, Jersey diner exterior paired with the barstool counter/booths interior lend to an easy, casual atmosphere. The decor is definitely Mexican with the banderitas and the painted chairs. The two guys working there were the sweetest. As soon as I walked in, it was all about me. I mean, who wouldn't love that?!? My order came out. It was 4 mini tacos with onion and cilantro. They were sooooo yummy BUT, and I have to compare, I've had similar on a larger taco with 2 tortillas per taco so they didn't fall apart so much. Also, the green sauce didn't have too much flavor so I had to douse the tacos with it. All in all, the service was EXCELLENT, the place was comfy, and the flavor of the meat was delicious. $11 for mini tacos wasn't bad but it could've been better. read more

This place has been on the list for a while now. The weather was nice and while I was doing some studying I decided that today was a good day to give them a try. Honestly, wish I've done so sooner. The churros were great, not greasy, had the right amount of cinnamon sugar and tasted wonderful. I got the Tacos de Birria, you get 3 per order they come w/onion, cilantro, and the little birria soup. All complemented each other and I tore them things up. The meat was well seasoned and the tacos held up pretty good even after dipping them into the soup! I also got the Enchiladas de Pollo en Mole Verde (Chicken Enchiladas in Green Mole) it came with a good amount of melted cheese on the enchiladas, served with a great and flavorful yellow Mexican rice and refried beans. Next time I'll order a side of rice, damn it was good! I'll definitely order from here again! read more

I have a love and hate relationship with Tacos Locos because I love their food, they are super cheap with their sauce. Most of the time they forget to put it in the bag for delivery orders or put one sauce for multiple orders and tacos without the sauce is like pizza without the cheese for me so most of the time I am left disappointed. Beside my sauce issue the tacos are always good and love the churros too. read more

Been living off of Main Street since 2016 and been trying out the local cuisine. The tacos here are VERY good and authentic. I got the Birria tacos and my buddy got the Bistec tacos - both were exceptional. I purposedly got the birria tacos because it's not that common even among other similar places. Had a side of chips and salsa which was comfortably hot for me. Friendly service, local, delicious, and quick. What more can you ask for?!? Def coming here again! read more

Chicken Enchiladas with Green Sauce were delicious. Refried Beans and Rice came with the platter. Service was wonderful and accommodating. I'll be back ! read more

I love the tacos here! The al pastor is authentic and almost as good as the ones in CDMX. The meat is cooked on the traditional rotating spit and served with onion and cilantro on soft corn tortillas. The green and red salsas add a nice element of heat and tanginess. They now have indoor and outdoor seating and the service is friendly and efficient. Highly recommended!! read more

The staff was attentive and friendly. I always get lengua as that's one of my favorite cuts of meat. The tortilla was fresh and soft. The lengua cooked well and was not chewy nor salty. I also did not have my morning coffee and was getting a headache. The owner (I presume) was kind enough to provide me a cup of really strong joe which is not a menu item. The exterior will remind you of an old school diner. Two thumbs up! read more

Birria Tacos! Customer service is fine seems like a very busy joint. So my tacos wasn't what I expected but it wasn't bad. The soup and meat were on the salty side I asked for cheese but I just expected it to be melted down not like feta if I would have known wouldn't had paid the extra 1.25 for it . Tortilla was soggy but I would try again just wouldn't get this maybe something more simple. The place is nice but if you eat inside the ventilation isn't great! read more

Terrific food! Reasonable prices. Good selection! Third visit. Never disappointed! Close to Luna Stage.

Fresh, tasty food and extremely friendly service! Portions are generous. Highly recommend for takeout.

If you are looking for day-old carnitas, tasteless beans, and rice, and some warm-hot salad and avocado on the plate then this is your restaurant. If you want to pay 25.00 for it, you are beaten. I got 5 bites in and chucked it. There is nothing "authentic or tasty" about this. Ask for some sauces, I did, they dont pack those either. read more

Tacos Locos - ouch. - Mexican Near Me - West Orange, New Jersey

I tried the amazing Mexican food at Tacos Locos recently. A bit more expensive than other places nearby, but worth it. (But don't take it from this gringo: my native Californian Latinx spouse said so too!) You can now eat in at their location, which is a vintage diner building. Not fine dining, but authentic and definitely recommend it. read more

I've only eaten the Birria Tacos let's just say I haven't been disappointed yet and hope to continue with this feeling. It looks like a hole in the wall type of place , however the establishment is clean and small inside , you can dine in as well byob. The staff are polite and remembers their customers especially me because all I've ordered is what I mentioned before. Next time your in the area try it out! I will try other options on the menu when I get the urge to try something new. Again best Birria tacos I've had over other places I tried read more

Glad I finally tried Tacos Locos. Had an excellent lunch here with Fresh Guacamole, solid chips, and great tacos. Great service and friendly blue collar atmosphere. They have 4 tacos for a very reasonable price $10-12, and they let me get 2 and 2, instead of all 4 of the same. Carnitas was close to perfect and Al Pastor was very very good. I forgot to ask if it's BYOB, but this would make a lovely $40-50 dinner spot with some wine. Parking on the side was easy. Going to have to try the Burrito and really everything they have here. They take credit cards. Old repurposed diner is cool too. read more

The food was amazing, I recently moved here from the city and have been trying to find something close to what im used too! Tacos locos gave me that experience! Those tacos we're nice put together didn't fall apart (until I started eating them). lol nicely seasoned and you can tell it was made and packed with love when I called the guy I asked him for a special sauce and he said no problem no problem I definitely recommend. The area of the restaurant was quiet and not too much commotion or people! It was like a food truck type of place! read more

Tacos Locos - Fish Taco and 33. Pastor (roasted pork, marinated with a variety of peppers) - Mexican Near Me - West Orange, New Jersey

I love this place. I have gone there a few times, and it didn't take me much time to fall in love with everything on their menu. The food comes very fast, and it is amazing how they make such good food in such a short time. The service is great and the employees are very welcoming. The ambiance is pretty decent, and I really like how they made a brick wall inside. Overall, this is one of my favorite restaurants. 10,000,000 stars. (By my 11-year-old son) read more

This place is an actual hole in a wall and a total gem. I had lunch here today after hiking the South Mountain Reservation. My friend looked up local places on Yelp, and we were curious about this place. The owners are super friendly and welcoming. We had an order of the pork and steak tacos. The restaurant felt authentic, and the food was delicious. The guacamole was of the better that I have sampled. I believe, given the size, that they do most of their business via take-out. I will be sure to come back the next time I hike the reservation. read more
