The staff are helpful and the prices are definitely reduced, but the items in the store usually have scratches, dents, or other flaws. That being said, you can often find items that you can easily patch yourself or display in a way that minimizes the damage, if you're okay with that. I was nervous to visit during the pandemic, but we wanted to visit since we've been remodeling our house during the lockdown. The staff greeting shoppers outside were friendly and had hand sanitizer for everyone. They provided recommendations for social distancing in-store and explained when large item pick up would be. Once we got into the store, however, the idea of social distancing was out the window. Everyone had a mask on, but there were constantly people all around me, in the narrow aisle ways, squeezing past instead of taking a way around that was clearly available but would require a few more steps. I felt relatively uncomfortable and unsafe inside. As far as the products for sale go, they have a great variety -- chandeliers, lamps, sheets, curio cabinets, chairs, sofas, dining tables and chairs-- you name it! The prices are deeply discounted and the store even runs sales on top of the low prices. I found a unique lamp, a dining room chandelier, a laundry room light, and a chandelier for our rental property. Overall, my experienced at the Ballard Designs outlet was successful in terms of shopping, but the social distancing was lacking, so I felt nervous being there.

I grabbed a yellow zucchini because it was big and robust and bright yellow, and I had never tried one before. Oh! An employee came outside and said, "May you please not relieve your dog here". I said of course, I wouldn't do that, he is just sniffing around. It was a very reasonable ask from the employee. I didn't leave the area right away and the employee began to curse at me for having my dog in that space! It was so startling and threatening, especially for truly minding my own business. I will never support Quince and Quinn. It is a shame they hire such disrespectful people who would yell at a young lady walking down the street. It made me feel very uncomfortable.
