I'm not sure whether the mistake was made at measuring, fabrication, or installation, but the first 2 doors fabricated did not fit the space. The third door did fit. The good news (I suppose) is that I did not have to pay anything additional since Basco was performing the install. However, as a result of these mistakes, 6 weeks of schedule were added to my bathroom refresh job. We're pleased with the door itself, now that it's installed. It does creak every time it's opened, but that's more of an annoyance that anything else.

I ordered a replacement for the broken panel and it took over a month to receive the replacement after multiple failed attempts to communicate with the company. After I received the replacement panel the contractor proceeded to install it. Not too long into the installation process, the other glass panel shattered. Needless to say, my shower remodel project was delayed by over two months due to a flawed shower door. Additionally, my family would have potentially been exposed to serious injury as the glass panels would have shattered while someone was showering. Therefore, I would not NEVER recommend the Basco Shower Doors to anyone. For the price I paid, I would have gotten a better quality shower door from a more reputable brand.

Most only do fully renovated kitchens. We scored tickets to the Cincinnati home remodeling expo in Sharonville. We spotted Cincinnati Kitchens and a someone was able to help us right away. Darin was our representative. He was very friendly and to the point/honest. The same week he was at our home giving us an estimate. The following week, we were at the office to pick out our tile. He was able and pick out the perfect tile for our kitchen. We picked the color dove grey of the Cento per Cento Series. Italian tile that needed to be special ordered. It took a little over a month but worth the wait. Darin was great with communication and following up with us. When the tiles came in, we scheduled and it took two days to complete. It was worth the wait! I'm in love with the backsplash. It glossy tiles pops! I would definitely use them again if I needed anything done in the kitchen. Reasonably priced.

We're definitely glad we found them because they did an amazing job and were well worth the price. Other companies would only remodel the entire kitchen, but we didn't want that much work, just a backsplash, and Cincinnati Kitchens was the only one willing to do just that. Darin, the representative we worked with, was super helpful and friendly. Within a week of meeting him at the expo, we met at the company's location to pick out our tile and grout. They had an absolute plethora of options to choose from. After much perusing, we chose dove grey tile and grout, which even Darin said would look great with the colors in our kitchen. It took a couple months to acquire the tile, since it was being imported from Italy, but Darin made sure we knew before we committed to it, and kept us informed every step of the way. He only asked for 50% of the job cost up front, the other 50% after the job was done, and the total cost was $3,000. The guy who came to install it was definitely skilled at what he does. It took two days to complete; one day to put up the tile, and one day to do the grout, and the finished job looked nothing short of perfect. It was everything we hoped for and more. Cincinnati Kitchens was definitely a great find for my lady and I. We were completely satisfied with the entire experience, from beginning to end, so we adamantly recommend them for their work.

We spoke with their scheduling person who arranged the appointment. Within a few hours, while I'm still at the home remodeling show, I get a call from them stating that they had no one available and we needed to reschedule. At the appointment, the designer was very good and went over the options with us. He was there for three hours but was unable to give us a proposal because he was having "iPad issues" and we also had things we needed to do. He said he had a couple stops to make after leaving our place and would send us the proposal that afternoon. We get an email later from "Terry" asking us how it went. I responded that we never received a proposal. I was told to check my spam folder, which I had already done, and responded that we never received it. After a few email exchanges, it becomes evident that "Terry" never talked to the designer and finally had to admit that none was sent and that they would get one to us. After a few more days, we finally gave up. Even though the product construction looks of good quality, we just couldn't continue. With as much work as it took (over two weeks) to not even get a proposal, we didn't want to have to deal with this type of dysfunctional company for a project that was probably going to cost in excess of $20-30k. Additionally they are exclusive to Moen products and were locked into only one selection in the color we wanted. The color selections on the rest of the product was quite limited and we felt we would be compromising. My wife and I have both built and remodeled homes and condos for ourselves many times. We have a lot of experience dealing with contractors and vendors in the building industry. This company gives off a bad vibe, with plenty of red flags, that tell me not to deal with them. They brag about how many jobs they have going every day and I think they have just gotten too big and can't manage what they have. Go forward with them at your own peril...you have been warned.

We love our choice in granite/quartz, and the actual top looks great minus the pass-through shelf which features a horrible flaw. We asked to see our piece before purchase, but we were assured that with quartz the sample, 3x3in, was exactly what the top would be. Well, there is a 20in black line down the middle of the 9.5x49in slab. No variance my arse. Then the installation...the company uses the cheapest of labor that really has no attention to detail. NONE. They left glue everywhere. Silicone everywhere. The high-end sink looked like crap. I know for certain that is NOT how their showroom looked. So why do they think it is acceptable to leave a customer's house like that. They also totally jacked up our lazy suzan/corner cabinet b/c they shimmed it over a non-weight bearing point. Then theny sent the same person in that did the dodgy work who ARGUED with me, and claimed it was like that before they did the job. B. S. !!! We were there the entire job. He 'fixed' it, but I still can't put my olive oil bottle back in b/c it no longer will fit. Grrrrrrr! There is just so much their installers did wrong, that I cannot go on b/c it is making my blood boil. Their customer service is non-existent! No call to confirm they will be coming, no follow up after the work was done. Said we could pick out any tile for our backsplash for them to install then gave us a B.S. song/dance when we found a tile we wanted b/c their vendor's tile didn't work for us. It was b/c they couldn't gouge us with a mark up on the materials. Doesn't matter, they skipped away with $5k of ours for crap work. Also, don't even think of calling with an issue, b/c when they call you back to have someone come 'fix' the problem, they will be extremely rude. I am 100% for supporting the local businesses, but DO NOT advise using this one. If you know exactly what you want, I found a great tile guy who later told us he also does counters. He doesn't do the materials, though he tells you the best place to buy, and he'll do all the work. btw as far as design goes....wouldn't know b/c they offered zero design help. ZERO.

Karen from their office was the first to respond to my Yelp Contractor request, followed by a quick call from their technician, Ray, who requested pics and FaceTime'd to help assess the issue before he was onsite. Once he arrived, Ray quickly confirmed the problem and started work on the solution, which involved pulling up one layer of pavers and jackhammering the concrete sidewalk underneath the pavers to get to the water leak from the plastic pipe joint that failed after 36 years. Ray showed me the failed part, updated me on the progress, showed me the final solution, and completed the work. I will definitely call them again for other projects !

Again, my bad for submitting final payment before work was 100% complete. EDIT: I am updating from 2/5 stars to 1/5. After insisting in a reply to this review that I was reimbursed for services not complete as reflected on my final bill, the business assured me I could reach out through email with further questions. I emailed through their website Friday January, 6th. As of Friday January 13th I've received no response or explanation. They've decided to add some photos of our remodel and include in the description that the floors and walls were termite infested. We had an inspector out during demo who guaranteed there was no active infestation and that this damage was very old. The only reimbursement I've received was from a dispute I opened with my bank, but it only covered flooring supplies not delivered, as the services were billed separately. It was not willing granted by the company, as they refused to reply to my initial inquiries as well, as you can see outlined in my attached photo and original review. ---------- I worked with this company on a kitchen remodel and repair when they were still in Ohio during 2022. Things fell apart after the final payments were sent before work was completed (my bad, lesson learned). It has taken me a while to compose a review because there's quite a bit worth noting. The "short" version: final receipt shows charges for items/installations that weren't completed, they stopped responding to messages, didn't show up on time/at all for appointments, appliances weren't installed correctly, my appliances/furniture were left outside in the rain, some crew members spent their time sharing racist/homophobic/transphobic statements. The kitchen is pretty, though. My texts show communication from July 1st to October 3rd, with the last message from Ray being September 20th. There is a read receipt from Ray for the message in October, but no response. I gave up after. You can see a screenshot of this included with the review. Full version: Ray was super friendly and I enjoyed working with him in the beginning. The project had many unforeseen issues that we dealt with as they arose. Unfortunately it put us WELL over three times the initial estimate. Not their fault, but ultimately there was a large sum paid with lacking results and customer service. The crew regularly did not show up on time. Sometimes they did not show up for scheduled dates at all and did not respond to messages or calls asking if I should still expect them. This, paired with the extra repairs added, stretched the project out over multiple months. During this time we had zero use of our kitchen or laundry space. My appliances and furniture had been moved out to my deck. I offered a large, mostly empty garage as a place to store them, but the crew preferred to store their tools in the garage instead. I was assured they'd be covered by tarps. I had to run errands and came back to my appliances uncovered in the rain. During the course of the multi month project, I asked if the items should be moved to the garage, but was told it wasn't necessary. My laundry machines ended up with severe mold and the larger furniture I wasn't able to relocate by myself (I'm an amputee) was water damaged. The crew did help repair a table that was damaged from being left out in the rain, which I appreciate. Electrical outlets their electrician installed were and still are wobbly and loose in the wall. The dishwasher and garbage disposal were not initially installed correctly. When I ran the dishwasher for the first time, it backed up and overflowed into the kitchen. A large portion of the ceiling into the hall was not painted after being patched. They also removed the cover for a light fixture and didn't feel the need to replace it. I've included a photo. At times, some of the crew members that showed up loudly made statements that were racist, homophobic, and transphobic. I did not feel safe approaching them to ask them to leave, especially after Ray left for Florida and the final payments had already been collected. My options were to hope they finished the contracted work or go another few months without a kitchen. My final receipt lists multiple items that were not installed/delivered (extra flooring supplies for a later project, lights installed in two areas they were not, etc). Ray stopped responding to my messages where I asked if we could resolve this by scheduling to get the work done or a refund for the services and products not delivered. I was able to open a dispute with my bank over one, but the others have passed the grace period and I cannot dispute them without going to court, which I do not have the means to do. I wish the end experience had been better. The end result is aesthetically pleasing, but I cannot recommend the company.
