Having been mostly a life long wearer of corrective lenses, I've been to my fair share of optometrists. Some good, some just okay. Liberty Eyecare is right up at the top of the list. Utilizing some of the most current state-of-the-art testing equipment, Liberty Eyecare offers a wide range of testing and services, offering an incredibly thorough comprehensive eye exam. Liberty Eyecare takes the time to explain their processes and their findings. Their level of customer service is extraordinary and they go above and beyond to get you the best possible solutions, without trying to gage you with unnecessary features and add-ons. Once your exam is complete, Liberty Eyecare offers a large selection of frames, glasses and contact lens options for you to choose from. Their knowledgeable, and patient, staff will walk you through the entire process and review the breakdown of costs and insurance coverage. Would I go back? I plan on going back every 1 - 2 years, as I have done so for the last 3 years. They are my primary eyecare provider and I don't plan on changing anytime soon.

The door was left open, I could see staff members including Dr. Crawford walk past the exam room many times. At about 30 minutes of waiting, I decided to leave. As I approached the exam room door to leave, the Doctor who had walked past the door several times, suddenly appeared and entered the exam room. Never, while I waited did anyone check in to tell me the Dr. is running behind, etc. The quality of the exam was high. At the end, the Doctor pressed me hard to purchase frames from him right then and there. I had someplace to be. I left and came back to look at frames. I entered the frames area where there was one male working. Well, not really doing anything, just sitting. He glanced at me but said nothing. Apparently, he didn't see me remove my own classes and hold them in my hand as I browsed available frames. I walked past the employee a few times as I browsed. Not once did he offer assistance. Okay. After browsing for about 10 minutes, I walked away from the frames area and headed to the door to leave. Then suddenly, an elevated voice asked, "Are you going to pay for those?". It was the male employee. Pay for what I asked. He replied, "The frames in your hand". I asked, "what, these glasses, that I came in with?". His reply. "Oh, never mind". And that was that. Not another word from the employee. This is an odd place. The disdain that radiates from some of the employees for some of their customers is apparent. The staff clearly favors some of their customers, but not all of them. Would I go back or recommend this Doctor? Nope.

I went to Pearle Vision because I wanted to get my glasses adjusted. They are Versace frames I…read moreactually bought here and I absolutely love them. I have had them for about a year and a half to 2 years now. One of the sides went out of alignment and had made my glasses tilt forward so my eyes were getting strained looking so closely at the lenses. The man working the front (Ben I think is his name) told me he has been adjusting glasses for 30 years and sometimes they break while getting adjusted, and since mine were "worn in", if they were to break while he was adjusting them, I'd pretty much be screwed and would have to buy new frames. This is the part that seemed a little unprofessional though- he said this is a "money making business" and gave me a card for a guy that could try to fix them, but "if they broke, he could also fix them", but it would cost me. Since he was being very pessimistic about fixing my glasses, and it was at my own risk if they broke while he was fixing them, I said no, he cleaned them for me and I left. However, the very same day I went to LensCrafters at Liberty Center. They took them, immediately just tightened them and adjusted them and cleaned them, and they looked brand new and fit perfectly. This took at most two minutes and they were very professional, clean, and friendly. Safe to say after seeing how easy of a fix this actually was, I was extremely disappointed and frustrated with Pearle Vision and will definitely not be going back.

Once that timeframe passed, I called the store and was told they would arrive in a couple of days. Another week went by, and I was given the same response. A few more days passed, and still no lenses. I then contacted Pearle Vision customer service and filed a complaint, which was sent to the store manager. I was told I would receive a call within five days, but that deadline also passed before I was finally contacted. Unfortunately, the call with the store manager only added to my frustration. There was no accountability for the complete lack of communication from the store, even though I repeatedly had to call for updates and was consistently given inaccurate information. Instead, the blame was placed entirely on the lab, and I was offered a $25 coupon for a future visit. When I explained how dissatisfied I was with the handling of my order and the poor customer service I received, my concerns seemed to be brushed aside. Delays can happen, but the lack of honesty, communication, and accountability is unacceptable. The way this situation was handled reflects very poorly on how this store values and treats its customers.
