On a recent trip to Memphis a friend and I stayed at the Hyatt and Cimas is located inside. Before going to the Grizzlies game I met her at the bar for drinks and she was having dinner. Her food looked phenomenal and she said it tasted just as good! I knew that's exactly what I wanted to eat when I got back from the game. I asked the bartender what was the latest I could order food and she said 9:45pm. I made it back just in time to get my order in, our other friend that I went to the game with joined me. The order: Pan roasted redfish, Yukon mashed potatoes, broccolini, and a side caesar. The food was absolutely divine, cooked and seasoned perfectly and one of the best meals we had on our trip. I ate every morsel and my friend did too. Because we were the last plates before the kitchen closed the chef plated everything to go but we didn't care, it was truly delicious. I'll share a photo of the other friend's plate as well because the plating was nicer but it was the same food. Hotel dining can be hit or miss and sometimes pricey for what you get but this meal was worth every dollar. Although I would not stay at this hotel again I would come back just to dine here and hang at the rooftop bar. 10/10! read more

Went for breakfast and would highly recommend. The space is very inviting bright and light with terrific views of the river and bridge. Hostess was very friendly as was our server. First my coffee was luke warm and cup was chipped. Although my food was hot my eggs were overcooked and toast was cold. The waiter rushed to get our order in before 11 for some reason. Never explained and we were seated at 10:56. Never refilled our drinks or asked if we needed anything else. But was eager to give us our bill. Didn't bother with pictures. Don't make plans to go here for dinner... they'll change their dinner menu to a lounge menu an hour before your reservation and ruin your Sunday night plans (did this to us twice in consecutive weekends). Nobody wants to eat pork rinds and nachos for dinner... read more

Comas is located in the Hyatt Centric on Beale street. The service is great and they have a pretty good variety of food and many healthy options. The restaurant is surrounded by windows and full of natural light. I ordered the Corn Flake Crusted French toast. It was very good. The bacon is thick and was served warm. The avocado toast was light but still filling. Nice place to brunch! read more

My husband planned a beautiful birthday brunch for me at CIMAS and it was so perfect. The atmosphere was super nice. It was initially planned for the rooftop patio but fall hit hard this weekend and they moved us inside to be more comfortable. Our waitress was super nice and they seem to be very easy to work with. They allowed us to bring our own libations for a corkage fee per bottle which worked out great. The food came out a little cold and there were a few fly problems but overall a nice experience. We finished brunch and hit the elevator up to the bar which was also super nice. read more

Here we are in a beautiful restaurant in the middle of town. There's a nice view out the window as you see the dancing lights on the Memphis/Arkansas bridge. The ambiance isn't really intimate, just a little to well lit to say that. Our server, Jessica was so great. Good conversationalist, on point with the service. I had a one night in jalisco, reposado tequila, habanero syrup and contreau that had me sucking on the ice cubes. Appetizer was the pan seared scallops with a chorizo and corn sauce. The sauce was a little in the salty side. The main dish of crab stuffed rainbow trout was delicious! The trout was melt in your mouth soft although the rice didn't do anything for me. The wife had mushroom quesadillas with poblano peppers in a tomato basil wrap. Meh, nothing to write home about. All in all, I really didn't get a Latin American fusion feel. The food was excellent, service was slow. We very much enjoyed our dinner, standouts were the pork belly tostada and the chocolate pot de creme. Parking was an issue - they wouldn't valet me because "the hotel is so busy" so I had to drive around and find a spot. I ended up pulling into a nearby garage where there were dozens of "Hyatt centric valet" open spots. I'm not sure why the valet wasn't using those. I know it's a new spot so I think there are some service kinks to work out but was very pleased with the food! Also have visit for brunch and we loved the French toast! So if u look at the full menu online n plan a night out n pay for valet- not so much. We did have a drink first at the beautiful rooftop bar- SO many thoughtful touches make it a truly special space. We stopped in for brunch while we were visiting Memphis, the food was delicious and fresh! Our server Darcy was so helpful and friendly, she was great all around. I'm a vegetarian and there was no issues accommodating that. The atmosphere is really great at CIMAS a lot of natural light, great view of the Mississippi and a awesome playlist was on that we were vibing too. Made reservations for our daughter's birthday dinner on 9/17. Drove an hour and arrived to be told that it was closed for a private party. Explained we had made and confirmed reservations and the comment from the hostess was there was a miscommunication and nothing they could do about it.... read more

We had cocktails at the bar in the lounge. Bartenders were not skilled in mixology. My companions' Old Fashions were terrible - undrinkable. Was red & sweet, we guess from added cherry juice. I had a specialty cocktail that was way too sweet despite me asking bartender to suggest one that wasn't sweet. Way overpriced for the quality & service. Also, bartenders appearance & dress was very unappealing. Not fitting for an establishment attempting to present itself of a high quality. They looked unkept & way too casual - like kitchen clean up help. The rooftop bar was a bit nicer because of view but that will go away once the new hotel is built that will block that view. read more

Had a reservation for dinner 2 hours before Orpheum show. There is no dinner menu, just a bar/snack menu. In the restaurant! Bummer. We each had a drink and an appetizer. Ordered nachos and a salad for dinner. Never arrived. Left. Waitress said not to worry about the bill. We didn't worry. read more

Had a wonderful dinner before going to a show at the Orpheum. Our waiter Byrum was super sweet. We had some great wine selections and cocktails. The shrimp Cesar was awesome and we shared the cheeseburger which was also awesome. Because we had discussed trying the fish too but decided not to the waiter said the chef wanted us to have it anyway and brought us out a free fish entree which was delicious. also the view was spectacular. Went to the bar last Saturday and had the worst experience. A middle aged gentleman was working the bar who wasn't pleasant at all. My friend sat down and asked about the weekend happy hour specials and he told them "everything was special" and walked away. They had to ask more questions to get the happy hour menu. We went upstairs to Beck & Call where the service was extremely better but had to encounter the rude gentleman again due to the valet losing our keys. Valet handled things professionally and the manager treated us to drinks while he handled our situation. We informed the same cimas bartender that the valet Manger was getting a round of drinks for us due to keys being misplaced and the bartender said he didn't know who that manager was and kept working. We had to go get the valet manager to explain and even after that the bartender from cimas still didn't give us drinks immediately. He left the bar for about 6 mins and then randomly came over to us to ask what we wanted. When he returned with our drinks we told him thank you and he said nothing just walked off. I'm not sure what this man's problem was but this is unacceptable. This hotel is new, extremely nice, and not inexpensive for someone to be that nasty. If something is going to be labeled as fine dining or upscale the service should match and it didn't. We can't have establishments of any kind giving piss poor service! Atmosphere was awesome and upscale. The menu is limited but the food offered is wonderful! I've had several things off of the menu and everything was great. Relatively small portion sizes but just enough to satisfy. The view of the river can't be matched for downtown outdoor dining. read more

This place is amazing. I had to book a reservation downtown at last minute notice and this place had a reservation. I've been waiting for a restaurant in Memphis that had a view of the river and this one had a great one! The food was also amazing and so was the staff. There wasn't a whole lot of people there, but I guess it's because it's so new. If your looking for a restaurant to downtown you've got to check it out! read more
