Phenomenal smokes, quality and customer service. Great recommendations for first timers. 10/10

You can't beat this place for selection this is really my first chance to visit a cigar bar that has both indoor and outdoor seating it has a bar and it's amazing! For the nervous cigar person that I am I was very fortunate that the people that own this place and the customers are extremely well-informed, very polite and this environment is one of the few places you get to experience the beauty of living in an environment where people are free to discuss what they want, and listen to each other... None could've captivated that essence better than having a cigar out on the exterior porch which is covered, and as a television. The wine selection is incredible... I shut pictures just to give you an idea of the wide variety of offerings but they also keep several coolers full of colder beverages for those of you that enjoy beer, or some of the flavored seltzer waters that have alcohol in them too. Why would anybody want to come here? Well that is extremely easy you can walk in with as little as five dollars and come out with a quality cigar and enough information to make a purchase all the way up to the most expensive cigar in the house... There kept in an incredibly well preserved humidified room... Again, if you like selection variety and want to learn about some thing that is truly classic this is where you start, and this is where you will finish I can't say enough good things about this place what a wonderful experience today was! Also I had to have an A&W root beer with my cigar lol!

I'm a novice cigar buff. My dad smoked em. I do love coming here cause they're patient and I learn a lot. Cigar places on west side are too cool for school. Cigar Exchange hasn't done me wrong on their recommendations . Love the Connecticuts

Bought an empty box for $3 and filled it with a variety from The Exchange.

It felt like a hidden gem with people having a good time drinking, dancing (a few people), and enjoying each other's company. The wine menu was extensive. There's something for everyone. Reds, whites, dessert wines, etc. The price was great. I only wished I had bought the bottle. By time I was on my 2nd glass I could have spend $10 more to get the bottle. Oh well next time. They also have a monthly membership that has some pretty good perks. The service was great and we even got to meet the owner. Very nice woman who was welcoming. You can tell she put a lot of time, effort, and thought into her business. It's a must go to for date night. There's selective days where there's a DJ playing music.

Mixed Experience at a Beautiful Wine Lounge - Reservation Strongly Recommended…read moreThe ambience here is genuinely lovely - dim lighting, stylish decor, and excellent music selection that created a sophisticated, relaxed vibe. I came alone to enjoy a quiet evening and try their wines, drawn in by the strong Yelp reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was uneven. I arrived without a reservation on a busy Saturday night and was initially told there were no tables available. Thankfully, another patron kindly offered me their extra small side table allowing me to stay - but I watched several groups get turned away at the door. Moral of the story: make a reservation. This place seems much better suited for larger groups, events, or celebrations than for solo visitors. Service felt stretched thin. The staff were pleasant but clearly affected service - they could definitely use more help on busy evenings. When I asked about a wine flight, I was told they were too busy to prepare one. Five to ten minutes later, I watched another table receive flights without issue, which was disappointing and made me feel overlooked as a single patron. I ended up chatting with a nearby group of six women who were also there for the first time based on reviews. We agreed the space is gorgeous and has potential, but our experiences were just "okay" overall. It's a beautiful spot with great music and atmosphere, but the operational hiccups and reservation policy make it tricky for walk-ins or solo guests. I probably wouldn't return personally, but if you're planning a group outing or special event, book ahead and you might have a much better time

I went for dinner on Wednesday so the restaurant wasn't packed. As soon as you walk in you get git with that Italian restaurant smell (idk how else to describe it) so I was hopeful that it would be good. The restaurant is dimly lit so it creates an intimate atmosphere. Very cozy. Our server was friendly and helped me choose between two dishes I wanted. We started with bread service which includes a few different styles of bread along with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For my entree I went with the clam linguine. It comes with chopped clams, garlic in a white wine sauce and also has a few whole clams in shell. It was so good. It was very "seafoody" which was just what I was craving. I also got to taste the carbonara, which was also very tasty. It had plenty of pancetta and the sauce was rich. Overall a good experience.

A friend I met many years ago at a wine tasting invited me to a Burgundy wine class at Packing House Wines, and I attended. The store is located up a few steps on the north side of the Claremont Packing House. Parking is usually not an issue as there is a big multi-level parking garage on the east side of the packing house. All attendees sat down to a list of wines to be tasted, a printed out copy of the slides being presented, a big burgundy wine glass for pours, water, and a nice little charcuterie plate. The owner Sal gave the presentation, and it was easily the best wine class I have ever attended. He talks pretty fast, but not too fast, and his delivery was excellent, providing an extensive amount of information that was easy to understand. We pretty much learned everything about Burgundy wines from the history of the region, the stringent production laws, different classes of Burgundy wines, and details about all of the different producers and regions we tasted wines from. The class was scheduled for two hours, but it ended up lasting for two and a half hours. It would have been easy to stay for much longer as the class and wines were very enjoyable. The wine class was a little pricey at $125 per person, but this was a bargain as Burgundy wines are expensive. We were able to taste ten 1.5 ounce pours including several Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines (one of them was $350/bottle). My favorites were the '17 Albert Bichot Fixin ($53.99) and the '20 Domaine Lecheneaut Vosne Romanee ($124.99) which I purchased. They have wine classes regularly, and I will definitely return if one catches my eye. They have quite a selection of wines for sale, as well as tasting flights and food from their kitchen.

We were first introduced to one another by the previous owners, Mary and Jim, during one of their events--little did we know those introductions would grow into lifelong friendships. Over the years, our Wednesday Wine Nights became a tradition we all cherished. When we learned that the shop was going up for sale, we were understandably nervous. We wondered what would happen if it didn't sell--where would we go? And if it did sell, what if the new owners changed the shop in ways we didn't love? What if we didn't connect with them the way we had with Mary and Jim, who had become family to us? Then it happened, the shop sold. We were introduced to Maria and Veronica, and it was truly love at first meeting. They are two of the kindest, most welcoming women, and they have brought fresh ideas and wonderful energy to the shop. Our Wednesday Wine Nights continue today, and we are grateful to have gained new friends in Maria, Veronica, and their families, who help run this warm, family-operated business. The Third Street Wine Shop remains a place where you are welcomed the moment you walk in--where the owners make you feel like you're their only guests. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a tasting, a glass, or a bottle of exceptional wine, paired with one of their beautiful charcuterie boards or other delicious snacks. And for those who prefer beer, they offer a great selection of local craft options as well. We hope to see you there soon!
