Cielo is absolutely stunning the decor is amazing and had a fabulous time. Food and service is great and Charles is a treasure.

The restaurant is beautiful and romantic, we came in with our little kids and my mom while on vacation. We had reservations and were seated right away. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. All of the meals were fresh and delicious , the dessert could have been better if the pineapple upside down cake would have been served warm. Overall great place!

Beautiful restaurant with a wonderful menu. Service was top notch. I've never had squid ink pasta and wasn't sure what to think since I'm not a fan of squid but I'm glad I trusted the sever with his recommendation!

Anyone who follows my dining reviews knows that I rarely ever award 5 to a restaurant. To receive accolades on this level from me means the experience has to be exceptional. And our dinner at Cielo ticked off all the boxes. The minute you step through the door, you know you're in a fine dining establishment. From the white linen table cloths set with Pina lights to the elegant bar area, from the beautiful artwork that adorns the walls to the thoughtful window treatments ... and then there is Scott, the delightful piano player who visited each table introducing himself and asking if we had any requests. This is where the well-heeled on Sanibel, Captiva and Fort Meyers dine. How refreshing to be among patrons who dressed appropriately for the occasion - like my husband and I always do - showing respect to the owner of Cielo, its managers, chef and dedicated team. Our dinner started with two superb adult libations. Lots of fun cocktails to choose from! Mine was called What She's Having and my husband chose One For Mary Jo. Both were very good and recommended. It doesn't usually happen this way but we both made the same choices for our meals. The Escargot Rockefeller was over-the-top delicious. Ditto the Veal Scallopini Milanese, a divine and generous presentation of veal cutlet with Gorgonzola served over salad. We did not have room for dessert, unfortunately. It was getting late and we didn't want to hold up the staff. But we did enjoy a double espresso which was served with a chocolate biscotti. Spot-on! Cielo's is among our top picks for fine dining on Sanibel. We can't wait to return. Be sure to experience it!

Very pricey for average food. Service is great, but host is border line rude. Many other better options on the island for the money.

The only place we could find oysters and glad we did. Yummmm! And the service...Excellent!! Danny was our waiter and guided us to this delicious food. He was pleasant and very attentive. So we ordered appetizers which probably would have been enough to feed us. But we also ordered entrees which included a salad, vegetables and a starch. Now definitely more than we needed. We ended up taking some home with us and made a meal of it a day or two later. The second time we went we knew better. So we only ordered an entree again with the salad, starch and vegetables. This was perfect. Jerzy was our first night server, and he was very energetic and helpful. Turns out he had just had a baby the night before, but we did not know that until we saw him the second evening. Our server the second evening was Mike. He was very frazzled due to a large crowd and not enough waitstaff. But he did a good job of taking care of us and even comped our dessert. This place has a very nautical theme. So fish on the wall and boating gear as well. The only negative was screaming baby. Why do people bring young babies to a place like this. Kind of wrecks the atmosphere for everyone else. Oh well.

We came for lunch just before any rush. We were seated right away…read more I was happy to see that they're "back" and reopened. We came here many years ago and enjoyed their food. The place is casual, rustic, and come as you are. Got our drinks pdq. We decided to share a combo pot. But after some soup. Got the conch chowder. It came in a large, pretty plastic conch "shell". It was slightly spicy, but not much. In fact, there's hot sauces on the table if you need more heat. There was a nice amount of ground conch pieces in a tasty tomato based broth. It was big enough to share, btw. Then we got their combo steamed pot -- 1 dozen clams and 1 dozen oysters. This takes awhile to cook as we knew it would. So if you get one of these, order soup or an app while you're waiting. The clams are the cedar key ones. Small but tasty. We didn't use the melted butter, but asked for cocktail sauce instead. The oysters -- which you have to shuck with the provided knives -- were wonderful! I'd probably get all oysters next time. In the bottom of the pot are celery and onions which you can also eat. So glad we got to come here and enjoy lunch. We will be back next time on island.
