We have lived in Eagan for three years now and this is our first time going to Cielito! We have been missing out this whole time! The service was so friendly. The food was authentic and delicious. We enjoyed their classic margarita as well! They have a small stage for live music - can't wait to come back for that! Parking is very easy because they have a free lot :)

    Great house margaritas...and free chips.

What I liked: - good food at a good price. - good strong margaritas! - good location by the highway. I came here because this company was listed on the American Airline Dining club. However they must have dropped out as I did not get AAD credits

    Free chips and salsa :)

Came here because I was starving, it had the best reviews in the area, and I needed something fast! Pretty classic strip mall vibe - plentiful parking, free chips and salsa, and friendly service. Got two street tacos (al pastor and grilled chicken for $2.99/each!) and a skinny margarita. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to go back, but if you're looking for some low price/high quality Mexican after a stroll around the Premium outlets, this isn't a bad choice!

What a cute little restaurant tucked away in a strip mall, as I'm finding these tend to be my favorite kind of places to eat at! We decided to stop in before a long day of shopping at the outlet mall and had a great experience! We popped in fairly early in the morning (just before the lunch rush) and were sat right away. Our friend was late joining us but they were very kind in allowing us to sit there as long as we needed until he arrived. We ordered a variety of margaritas, daquiris, and blood mary's to get the party started, all of which we were very happy with. The two things I remember that my husband and I ordered were one of the chimichangas and the tres marias both of which were absolutely excellent! My husband and I rarely finish both of our meals and we both left happy and full. We will be back again when we are in the area.

Disappointing. We've been meaning to stop by for some time and finally pulled the trigger tonight. For the night before Thanksgiving, it was surprisingly kind of dead. Since we arrived early (5:35pm on a Wednesday), we noticed and took advantage of their advertised half-off house margaritas. I was initially impressed as they were fairly good. That was the highlight of our night. Well, my gf asked for no salt and she got salt, so there's that. I usually like to get a combo platter at a Mexican restaurant to try out different types of food, but no such luck here, so I ordered the 3 enchiladas with mole sauce (with choice of meat). My gf ordered a different meal, but also with 3 enchiladas with choice of meat. However, the server only allowed us to pick 2 meats for our 3 enchiladas. Weird. Whatever, not a huge deal. We quickly ran out of chips and the watery salsa. Was it refilled all night? No sir. Were most of the servers chit-chatting in the corner half the time due to lack of guests? That's a strong yes. Our food arrived and mine actually tasted quite good. Again, my girlfriend's order was wrong. She requested to have extra refried beans in place of the rice, and well, there was a lot of rice on her plate. At least mine didn't have any sour cream as requested. We waited a LONG time for the bill and when it arrived, we were charged $16 for 2 house margaritas. When I pointed out their error, she blatantly stated that it was a buy one, get one deal and per person. Apparently, I had to get 2 margaritas and my gf had to get 2. Strange when the happy hour deal actually said half off...no BOGO mentioned anywhere. They took some time to "fix" it, but then replaced the charge with some BOGO special and the price was jacked up a few bucks. Huh? Not worth complaining about, but with the extremely slow service, the incorrect information, and getting multiple items wrong, there's really no point in coming here again. Not sure why other reviews are so positive, but this was our one and only experience and they've been in the business for a number of years now. You'd think they'd be better. Maybe our modest expectations were too high, but they easily could have done better in so many little ways. Much faster service, when taking orders, actually make sure the orders come out correct. Stand by your happy hour deals on the menu you handed to us. Be more attentive to your guests.

Popped in here for a quick dinner and was pleasantly surprised. First, there was a table of folks (possibly a co-worker Christmas party) who were doing some majorly off-key karaoke. Highly entertaining. The servers were exceptionally friendly and the owner was just as good natured and went to various tables, making sure their meal was everything they expected. I got a dinner combination which included 2 enchiladas (your choice of meat), a tamale (again your choice), and rice and beans. I chose chicken for the enchiladas and pork for the tamale. The chicken was in little chunks--not shredded--which made the enchilada have a unique texture. It was still good though! The spices on the tamale made me sweat, ya'll! I was downing the water. I could've gone for a few less veggies in the rice, but that's just me. All in all a nice experience and pretty tasty food.

Fajitas. All veggies!!! Where's the chicken???

Second time visiting. First time 4!years ago. Today was as bad as the first time. Food is so bland. I ordered the fajitas and received like a 1/4 cup of chicken the rest was onions and peppers. The service was very bad and they are not wheelchair friendly. They won't even hold the door for you to maneuver the wheelchair! Not going back.

The food is always solid. I love the carne asada tacos and the fajitas, especially the steak and chicken combo. They come with classic sides of rice and beans, and everything is consistently flavorful. The margaritas are a must and always are strong. The service is always great. Staff is quick, friendly, and very attentive. They make you feel welcomed right away and take good care of you throughout your meal. The vibe is casual and comfortable, making it an easy go-to spot. There's plenty of parking, and they also have a patio which is great in the warmer months.

I really like the story that gets told about how this cookie-cutter gas station has a food counter…read morewith mind-blowing food. But that last part doesn't match my experience. I had so-so birria tacos (no consomme, single soft-corn tortilla) and so-so horchata (served in a sealed bag that looks like an IV pouch, actually kind of funny), along with a tasty and particularly juicy elote. My friend got the Asada Mulita and he quite enjoyed it. That seemed like a good deal for $9, and $4.90 per taco for what I got is okay. The ambiance absolutely does not rise above what you would expect from an unremarkable, utilitarian convenience store with a few tables that aren't routinely wiped down. You can order online (highly recommended) or from a screen near their covered-up window. Whenever a food place is clearly hiding its employees from its customers, I'm nervous that I will be ignored. But someone was constantly popping out and asking people what their names were, and telling them how many minutes they can expect to wait. (Waiting = standing next to the salty snacks shelves.) I see now that they have Al Pastor Chicken with Pineapple Pico and I definitely want to come back and try that. Maybe I'll raise my rating if I love it. Meanwhile, I'd recommend considering this at least for the experience, but order ahead and expect a 30-minute wait. Also note that they close at 7pm.
