Ron and his team remodeled our master bathroom. That entailed installing a new extractor fan, new toilet, new vanity, mirror, tile, paint, recess lights, and complete new shower. This is a up to the minute review. We had our roof done in 2018 by CID Builders and it started to leak recently. He doesn't seem to stand behind his product, labor or have pride in his work. He seems to just not care. So if you get a roof from him it only lasts 8 years. Stay away!!! take it from a very unhappy customer. Don't say you were not warned. This was the worst experience I have ever had, trust me I have dealt with some real winners but this company is the worst. We did a room addition with this so called company and that's where things went wrong. First they told I couldn't have the amount of windows I wanted so I had to go to the city and brought proof from the city I was within the specs. Then there in house architect would not change the plans, so I had to hire another architect to draw up new plans at my expense. Then they opened my roof during rainy weather they tarped the roof and said it would be fine, well guess what flooded my master bedroom with 1 1/2" of water. The company resurfaced and repaired my mom's pool. Here is her review of the work and the company. "My pool had been empty over a year. It was put in in '58 and I was told that the pipes had to be replaced along with the plaster. I had several quotes and decided to go with Ron because he seemed very straight forward and he would be able to set up a loan for me. I signed the agreement with him and the next day his plaster removal crew arrived. 4 hours later they were finished. The next day another crew arrived to take out all the old flagstone around the pool and they were done within hours. The next day a couple of guys arrived to dig trenches and install new piping which took a couple of days. Then the inspection, putting in new concrete around the pool, and another inspection followed by replastering and filling the pool. The whole process was very easy and efficient. Ron and his onsite supervisor, Hector, explained everything to me so clearly. As I sit out by the pool each night now, I think about my husband, who recently passed away. Ron came out and gave me an estimate to replace the tile around the pool and jacuzzi, as well as replastering the pool and jacuzzi. Ron provided a very competitive bid for all of the work and we went with CID builders for the job. Ron suggested two tiles stores in the valley to select tiles from which had an abundance of selections for us to choose from. About two weeks later and even dodging a few rain days, the split drains were added, the tile install and replastering was completed on time for the exact amount of Ron's estimate. During the tile and replastering timeframe, my weekly pool maintenance person mentioned the pump and control valves should be changed, and Ron was able to complete all of that work as well within the two weeks the pool was empty. Ron never tried to upsell me or increase his overall job cost without me asking for the additional work. Honest businessmen seem to be rare these days, but I found a good one. After they finished the work I discovered a leak in the pool. They tried to convince me that the leak was not their fault. After a long battle I finally got them to dig up and find the leak. They then left the entire area dug up and exposed without finishing the job for the past six months. They keep saying that they are going to take care of it but it has been 6 months and I still have a huge hole in the ground next to my pool. Working with Paz (GC) on a master bath and kitchen remodel was like having a trusted family friend by your side. My mom's house is 30+ years old, and he showed empathy for their situation and basically gave my mom hope that she can have a great kitchen that fits her needs and a bath that would accommodate her caring for my dad. When a business owner wants to be sure of good reviews he needs to do good work, promptly. After I posted my honest review this owner called me repeatedly, then sent a private Yelp message to get me to remove it. He suggested $ for doing so. I didn't, so he posted ugly comments, a bunch of inaccurate quotes, to make me look bad instead of taking responsibility himself. He said that my review was unethical, since in accepting a discount (again, that was to make up for poor quality work they left me with) I had agreed "not to have any more complaints". I took that to mean I wouldn't ask CID to make any more corrections for that price. In California it's actually ILLEGAL for contractors to insist a customer not write a bad review! We hired CID Builders in May of this year. CID hired sub-contractors that started working on my pool on June 17, 2020 and from that day forward marked one mistake after another. Many mistakes were huge and cost time and money. The subs lack of experience and no supervision by CID set the time of anticipated completion back months. CID provided absolute no supervision, no project manager and no foreman at any time during the 2.5 month period they were working on my pool. In short, I can't recommend CID and our project manager Ben highly enough. If you want the job done right call the team at CID. From start to finish it couldn't have gone better. We had just moved into a new home and wanted the backyard redone. We had a very specific vision and invite several companies to come out and provide an estimate. By far CID gave us the best feeling. One contractor told us we didn't want what we asked for and another simply looked around and gave us what I would consider a 'guess' on how much it might be. Ben and his team provided a CAD plan and told us they would work on the plan until it was exactly what we wanted...and it was! He was never pushy and simply gave us the time we needed to decide. They were always accommodating as we made on the fly changes to our contract and added and removed various pieces. We had a fairly strict timeline for some of the work. In spite of the rain at the end of the year, they met the timeline and the outcome was amazing. I have to admit, when I first agreed to remodel our kitchen from the ground up, I was skeptical, to say the least. I have had friends who do construction and at my age, have seen a ton of jobs that get started... but seem to go on forever. That being said.
