We found ODM when our home restoration project was in limbo from our initial unscrupulous Contractor. ODM took the torch and exceeded our expectations in all aspects of the remodeling project that took about 5 months to complete. Early on in our project, we were stricken with the task of looking for a new contractor. Hearing horror stories from family and friends, we set out to find an honest and respectable contractor which we weren't sure existed. We have worked with a number of contractors over the years, but Humberto and ODM were different. There was a level of pride and accountability that I have not experienced before now. The crew would clean up after each day of work, which was very helpful given we did such a major renovation during a pandemic home lockdown. The transformation of the house is incredible. We removed interior walls, added a shower to bathroom, moved the kitchen and opened up 45 feet of bi-fold doors around the new living space. This was a huge undertaking that required new footers and significant structural work. I really wanted to like this company and based on the location and the reviews I was excited to get a quote for an estimate on my bathroom wall remodel. I reached out to the company and even took photographs of the project I was interested in. I usually start new companies with smaller jobs first (to see how they do, my overall satisfaction with the project, and how good the contractors get along with the family etc.). Apparently, my job was probably not what ODM deemed as profitable enough and/or "worth their time"--because after I volunteered to send pics of the bathroom I didn't even get a phone call. All I received was a TEXT message from Humberto saying "We are no longer available for this project and sorry." SORRY NOT SORRY. How unprofessional! What they don't realize, is we are days away from closing escrow on a much bigger house and my husband and I have been scouting various contractor/construction companies for multiple prospective remodel jobs---- Too bad. ODM should highly rethink the employees they have representing their business or retrain on basic customer service. What a shame! read more

We hired ODM to remodel our master bathroom in March 2024. We had lived in our house for 10 years and the master bath was pretty awful. We met with Humberto who walked us through our ideas and invited us to his showroom to view some products and meet the staff. Our bathroom had a small shower and a door located on an odd side of the room. We had them create a pocket door from inside our closet and expand the bathing area by a foot. Now we have a very private, very spacious master en suite. We didn't really know what our budget was going into this, and while we did spend more than we had originally planned for, we spared no expense on quality of materials and labor. There were no surprise costs, our budget just had to grow a bit. You definitely get what you pay for and we were glad we did. They pretty much stuck to their timeline (it went over by a week) but frankly that's unheard of in construction and they even hustled at the end to make sure they made the hard stop deadline. They communicated everything from schedule to material selections and paint colors, and were very easy to get in touch for a few final punch items which they happily took care of. I expected someone in his work clothes to get under my deck to look for dry rot. Instead, I got Humberto, all dressed up and cologned, who told me he could not crawl under the deck because he was not dressed for it. Yet, he gave me an estimate of $4,000 based on his professional speculation!!! Mind you, I had already been told by another contractor that only 6 boards needed to be replaced, and it would cost around $1,400. I thanked Humberto and sent him on his way. Over the years, I've learned the hard way that you get what you pay for when it comes to contractors. I have hired lazy, messy, cheap, argumentative and plain dishonest contractors in the past. I was burned bad. This time around I hired a true professional. No more going with the lowest bidder to save a few bucks. Umberto is the co-owner of ODM and is hands down the best I've worked with. Why? 1) He's HONEST and holds himself RESPONSIBLE for his work. If things are going to take longer, cost more, need to be fixed, adjusted or modified... he will tell you upfront. No surprises. 2) He's FAIR. Get other quotes, compare prices, etc. He does good quality work, uses quality materials and guarantee's his work for one year. Will replace stuff if it's broken, fast. He also explains everything to you so you understand his methods. After my bathroom was finished, we had issues with some things. He came by the next week to fix them all. 3) His crew is CLEAN. They tape down everything, cover your stuff with plastic, put up drapes to protect your personal things from dust -- they do this each time they come to your house and they leave your house clean. No tape on the floor, trash laying around, etc. 4) Each day his crew was at my house, Umberto stopped by as well. He continuously COMMUNICATED with me and kept me informed. He was also very responsive when I had questions. 5) He and his crew were ON-TIME. This project was about 4.5 months long and they were late maybe, 5 times. If they were running late, they called me to let me know. 6) My design was super unique because of the limited space I had to work with. Umberto helped me design a space that is luxurious and had every thing I wanted given the constraints I had. In the end, I love my bathroom. He even took my Pintrest inspiration pictures and custom made things for me that could not be purchased in stores. Lastly, he and his crew were very pleasant, friendly and did a great job.
