Great job by the whole crew on my bathroom, new side door, and closet. My wife has extreme attention to detail, and they were extremely patient with us regarding the entire project, and the work came out great, very clean job on tiles, vanity and bathtub. Ron gave great advice on things from what kind of bathtub to get and the shower fixtures too. Filly, his foreman, has a great eye and they were overall very friendly to deal with. Even though it was a pain in the butt, they also retrofitted some IKEA wardrobe doors for our custom closet. They are also reasonable in terms of cost. They are not the cheapest, but they are a great value. read more

Great Company. Im very very happy with the job. I had been looking for a company to replace my roof. I had wood shakes and the insurance company would not cover me anymore. So I called a bunch of companies and they came out and gave me an estimate. I found CID's add in a home magazine and gave them a call. Ron (the owner) came out the next day and looked at the roof and gave an estimate. He was very honest and straight up. Other roofers had told me that i needed bunch of other stuff but he said why you wanna waist your money. He showed me exactly what materials they were going to use which i looked it up online and was the best on the market. His estimate was far less than the other guys. I signed the contract and gave him a deposit and explained to him that i didn't have the money at the time but i would have it in a month. He said no problem and give me a check for next month. The following monday his crew came and started. They covered up the inside my garage with plastic to avoid any damage to my stuff. They ripped off my roof and installed plywood. As you can imagine around the house was a huge mess. But at the end of each day they cleaned everything up. They picked up all the big stuff, and then walked around the house with a magnet to pick up all the nails, and at the end they used a leaf blower to clean up all the dust. It was amazing how fast the place went back to normal. They even took their time to clean up in between the plants. Anyways it took them only 4 days to install my brand new roof. They painted everything and cleaned up the whole house again the last day and you couldn't even tell that i had just replaced my roof. The roof looks great. I've been getting complements from my neighbors. The city inspector came twice and both times he was happy with the job. Overall outstanding company. I will def recommend them to everybody. The crew that came out and did mine were very professional. Def give Ron a call and get an estimate. You will not be disappointed. read more

I have to admit, when I first agreed to remodel our kitchen from the ground up, I was skeptical, to say the least. I have had friends who do construction and at my age, have seen a ton of jobs that get started... but seem to go on forever. That being said. I was at least a little happier when we hired CID and they put me at ease a bit, knowing that CID was doing EVERYTHING... and Very impressed when, even over the holidays, they met their Month and a 1/2 deadline. (They did all demolition of the floor and all our cabinets, rebuilt up the floor base, then installed all new custom built cabinets with our choice of wood, and installed all new vinyl floors) As you know, all construction is a little ugly, as last minute, unforeseen items come up along the way... they even handled those items to our satisfaction Like Pro's. The key, they are like a family with one goal. They all work in tandem, and know in the end, They're Doing It All and want to make the customer happy, even if they have to redemo items to correct an issue. That they're all connected and have respect for each others work, was wonderful! One stand out among them all was Moro (and I apologize if the spellings wrong) the cabinet guy. He takes pride in his work and every facet of his love for quality cabinet craftsmanship. Bravo to all at CID (and no, I'm not a close relative or friend.... as I often think when I see a great reviews like this) read more

Going with CID Builders was a great decision My wife and I recently underwent a huge kitchen transformation. The job entailed walls being knocked down, ceilings being reshaped, new plumbing etc... Lets start with the interview process. I feel we interviewed a good amount of contractors in our area, 5 i think... We decided to talk to a variety from independent builder/owners, design firms, large corporate firms etc... Calling each was a trip within itself. Sometimes we talked to a receptionist that continued to mispronounce our names and even got dates for meetings wrong. When we called Ron with CID he (the owner) answered...FIRST PLUS. Most of the contractors, or assistants, that came to our house to give us a bid would either agree to all of our requests saying, "NO PROBLEM" yes we can knock down this wall and not worry about support. And some of them kept telling me how they wanted to model our kitchen, not listening to our dream... Ron was a very NO BULLSHIT kind of guy. He told us we could knock down walls but be prepared that there may be support beams we would have to leave. It was his realistic expectations mixed with him willing to work with our vision in a very realistic budget was the reason we chose to work with him. The first day we talked through the design and financing portion. Since this was our first time on such a big project, we had no idea how much it would cost. We had saved an amount we thought would be more than enough and presented with a budget we weren't expecting. This was the case with all of the bids we received, not just CID's. They were all within a thousand or 2 of each other. We almost had to push the project another 6-9 months, but Ron worked closely with the bank to get us approved in terms that worked for us. This was the 2nd reason we chose to work with him. Demolition was very quick and clean. His expert team all were very nice and we got to know a lot of them on a first name basis. They made sure to drape plastic every day, sweep up at the end of every day and made sure our house was livable despite not having kitchen services. We ran into some of those support beam issues we mentioned above. Ron came up with a solution, we redesigned the look while working with Ron came up with a suitable layout that worked for both of us last minute. This change actually now is the focal more interesting part of our kitchen and are THOROUGHLY pleased with this change. The only issue we really ran into was it took a couple of days for us and CID to come up with a routine and a rhythm with communication and scheduling. But once we established that we were off to the races. And if I were to have changed the process in anyway is to find a way not to choose paint colors without having tile / backsplash / counter samples to look at against. It all turned out beautifully in the end, but I would have chosen differently if we had samples to compare against. The project took a little longer than I expected but was within the time frame that Ron promised us. We could've had it done quicker but we wanted to take our times with it and make sure both us and CID were comfortable and not rushed. The final product really reflects this. There was much love and craftsmanship put into the finishing details. Ron was on site almost every day. If it wasn't him, then his foreman Feli was. He was equally as professional and committed as Ron was. Ron saw every step all the way through and ensured no detail was over looked. There was even a few details we asked for at the beginning of the project that we failed to remind him of that made its way into the final product. We were really happy to see this. There were a couple of small issues and things that needed to be addressed after the project ended, but Ron was there. He popped in to make sure all was still good. He does this because the house needs a chance to settle in a bit. He addressed them no problem. OVERALL EXCEPTIONAL JOB by Ron and his team at CID builders. We will definitely be working with him again!!! read more

I needed to remodel my 1960's kitchen!!! I used another contractor for my master bathroom remodel and wasn't happy at all with the work. I hired CID to do my kitchen, not really knowing much about them (except for some really good references). Oren and his crew were professional, on time, did an amazing job and with a very fair price! I was so happy with the work they were doing, I hired CID to remodel my guest bathroom while they were doing the kitchen! Oren even checked in after the work was finished to make sure I was completely satisfied! I would absolutely use CID again for any other remodeling job. I just wish I would have known about them before I sank a bunch of money into my previous remodel. read more

We had repair work in our wall due to damage that was left for years from a leaky roof. The damage was above the entryway between the living room and the dining room. There was rotted, water-damaged wood, including a support beam. Ron came out on time for the estimate and explained in a very professional way what needed to be done. My wife and I were impressed and signed a contract right away. On the morning of the day of the work, Ron's crew came on time and they did an amazing job. They replaced the damaged wood with new Douglas fir preserving the original design of the archway. They drywalled and patched, ready for me to paint. Wall looks like a new house. We're so happy that we chose this company. We highly recommend them read more

I am so pleased with the way CID does business. I dealt with Ron, he made the process so easy. He showed me examples, gave me suggestions that went well together, went over payment plans and the guy just seemed genuine when he spoke about the quality of his company's work. He made me feel assured that I was getting more than what I was paying to have my bathroom remodeled. During the job there were a few complications and Ron actually came over to the house to oversee that they were taken care of the right way. That really blew me away, it's so hard to find someone you trust to do good work. I'm so pleased that I found Ron and CID builders. It feels great to start my day in such a beautiful space. read more

We started out with positive hopes with CID for our girls shared bath remodel and ended up with complete frustration and disappointment in the execution of the job! We are not novices in home reconstruction as we have done jobs in the past in 3 different homes and this left us feeling "taken" in so many ways. First, it is was not a full bath...but, took almost 6 weeks to complete. The project manager Tony jumped into demo and then left for more than a week leaving the workers to do what they could without proper supervision! Friendly as they all were...they needed supervison. They set the tile before knowing that the pipes were in the right position requiring unnecessary opening of the wall in a separate room...during which they told me they broke a valve and I would have to go pick up another! The tile setter was not experienced enough and broke so many tiles that we were required to order MORE tile on two separate occasions..which again they expected me to pick up. The frameless glass panels when measured was wrong and had to wait a week for the re-order of glass. When hanging the shower door... it took 3 attempts spread over almost 2 week span to get it right!!! Once they hung the door...we THOUGHT we could finally use the bath and we turn on the water to find that the handle FELL off and was not attatched correctly and had to use pliers to turn THE WATER OFF! It was Friday so they Would not send anyone to come FIX it until the next Monday! Wow...it was a slow and painful job...not to mention all the times they were supposed to show up... holding us hostage to the house and then not arriving for hours later...I guess par for the course on many contractors. When final payment was asked for...NO COMPENSATION offered for all the headache!!! My husband paid in full just to get them out and be done. So...choose wisely and hope everyone gets better service! read more

We're very happy with the pool that CID Builders built for us last summer. They gave a good price compared to the other builders we got quotes from, and started the work in a matter of weeks. The crew was very polite and worked very hard and efficient -- during Valley summer heat. They did a great job and even put in an extra brick wall (/"flowerbed" - which looks very nice) w/drains between the property fence and pool, in order to avoid drainage from higher neighbor property into pool. Although not part of project, it was basically a couple days worth of work at no extra cost to us. Oren was great to work with as project manager; often on-site and checking the work, and always available to stop by to answer questions etc. They handle all the paperwork/permits and work with city inspectors re. questions. We've had the pool for 4 months now and only had a minor issue; pieces of the grout between tiles and decking started coming off as the pool settled in the ground. CID builders re-did the grout using proper materials the week after Oren came by to check it - at no cost and no need to argue. Great customer service & work! read more

I am happy to say that Paz and CID builders delivered everything we hoped for in our gorgeous new pool. After looking around and several bids, I chose CID. Paz helped me hone in on exactly what I wanted...a shallow pool, modern style with pebbled bottom. We love it and can't wait to jump in. The price was fair and the crews were skilled. I am happy to be a reference and share my input if they ever need me to. THANKS SO MUCH..... read more

Could not be more thrilled with our new bathroom!!! Ron/CID was referred to us by a family member who has had a number of jobs completed by them on her house. We received 3 quotes for the job and chose CID based on the fact that they were both competitive (beat our other top contender by ~20%!) and highly recommended. I was so impressed with the quality of work and craftsmanship. The CID team was professional, capable and completed the bathroom of our dreams ON TIME and on budget! We had stressed to Ron that we had company coming in from out of town and he made sure the bathroom was done and passed inspection prior to their arrival. I showed Ron an inspiration board I had put together and CID nailed it (pun intended). The day we signed the contract, he had his carpenter over at our house measuring for the custom work needed and we had a rendering to approve that night. Highly recommend CID and will definitely look to them again for future projects! read more

What can I say About CID Builders. Took me and my wife about a month to decide what company to go for, and CID and Ron were very understanding and patient. They didn't blow up our phones like other companies. They definitely gave us space which is one of the reason we decided to chose them and it was the best decision we've made. We needed our whole kitchen remodel, Ron and his crew were always on time and always made sure to communicate if any issues came up. The project was delay a bit because of the city but Ron managed to still get it done. The kitchen came out AMAZING , it was everything we wanted and more. If you want a trustworthy company with knowledge and amazing workers than definitely give cid a call and request RON! We're going to use them again for some more projectS my wife and I are looking to get done. Thank You Ron & CID for the outstanding work and beautiful kitchen. read more

I want to commend CID builders on the remodel of our swimming pool. Ron came to our house and made some excellent recomendations. We hired CID Builders & Developers to remodel our kitchen. We are first time homeowners and we spent months and months on our research before choosing this amazing team. We set up an appointment with Alex. She was amazing and super sweet which is what also made the choice easier. Our experience could not have been better. All of the cabinetry is gorgeous and well crafted. From concept to creation, everything is gorgeous, highest quality and fun. The project manager that took care of my job was Paz. He was always available and super communicative with us. He made sure the finish product was to our standards and it was done on time. We were in a "had to" situation and needed our roof redone quickly, before Christmas. We contacted CID Builders for a bid and they sent Tony Abrahamson out to speak with us, on the spot we decided on CID because they could do it quickly. Turns out it was our best choice, they were great! They found 32 holes in our roof and since this was a new purchase we had to fix them and immediately. Luis and his crew went above and beyond just replacing the shingles, he repaired and replaced a section of wood that was rotten that he didn't have to, just being professional. Tony went up on the roof and took a ton of pictures for us, for our records, which I appreciated. He also had a hand in getting us financing, he was very helpful through this whole process and we are grateful. Need a roofer, do give CID a call. Deborah and Daniel read more

Very unhappy with Ron Darmon. Bait and switch on materials, and poor workmanship. It's a shame because he lied right to my face about materials, and we had it in writing. In the end, we finally agreed to a discount, but why not just use the materials you promised. read more

We had our patio enclosure done by CID builders. We work closely with Ron. He was able to work around our budget and get the job done. They relocate our electric panel, gas lines, air condition water drainage and water sprinkler station. We are now enjoying our new patio enclosure. read more

I have never written a negative review on Yelp but had to share my experience with this company. We are starting our research and plans for a pool installation. I called CID and requested someone to come out for an estimate. The date was set and then last minute my appointment was canceled. Totally fine, things come up. A man by the name of Hector called to reschedule my appointment and was very apologetic for canceling so late. He offered to have "the owner" come out and also "offer a discount" for the inconvenience. I accepted his offer and appreciated his customer service. The night of my estimate, I had an appointment run late. My husband was home so he met with the person who came out. My husband said everything went great and they seemed like a contender. I asked if there was an estimate left or if one was being sent. He sad no. I figured I would just follow up in the morning. That night I had a message on my phone from this company requesting I call them back. The day after the estimate a very rude man called me, furious. He said that he was the owner and he had sent one of the co-owners to my home for the estimate. He began to question why I was not home and where I was. I was so baffled. Why should I have to explain myself to this intrusive person? I didn't understand the issue. The gentleman who came met with my husband. I was told that "that was not good enough and YOU should've been home!" I apologized for my appt going late but he was not accepting it. I asked him if they provide a paper/emailed estimate for the job and his response was "Oh, NOW you want a paper estimate?" Is this wrong of me to ask? The whole conversation was just so bizarre. I told him that I was not liking the direction and tone the conversation was taking and we would not be considering his company for our installation. He seemed taken aback. Needless to say I hung up. My only positive experience with this company was with Hector....thus giving HIM the one and only star. I was so excited to possibly use this company with all of the amazing reviews. Unfortunately I did not have the same experience. read more

My wife waited 10 years for her dream kitchen and Ron was the best person for the job! No hidden fees, no extra charges made it a smooth transition. The job was delayed but mainly our fault because we did not have all the appliances and extras planned out. We also picked a flooring that was on back order. Everything was planned out just right. Ron completed a few extra details for us at no charge! We recommend CID for any home improvement job! We might call them soon to work on other areas of our house. read more

We hired CID Builders in Feb 2020 for the major project in our home: new cool roof, new cool paint, pavers around the house, new patio cover (so beautiful), stacked stones on some part of the house , new mailbox with stacked stones (so nice) and some energy efficient project. We were so happy with the result. Our house looks so beautiful! Our neighbors noticed the transformation, it looks like a brand new house. Gidi, the project Manager is so hardworking, always early even before the scheduled time and he was there every single day to make sure the work is done properly, very easy to work with, we were very happy with Gidi and the crew. My wife and I planned on renovating our kitchen and bath in our new home. We met with 3 general contractors before we met with CID Builders. They all seemed disinterested in my ideas and made lame attempts to beef up my projects and get deeper into my pockets. One contractor disregarded my initial plans and wanted to knock down exterior walls. Another wanted to charge me $7,000 for blue prints. Knowing that I had appointments for additional estimates, some were reluctant to leave without having me sign a contract. The last guy told me that the estimate was only good while he was there. Otherwise, it was null once he walked out the door. I shouted a few expletives and pointed to the exit. He picked up his briefcase (which was obviously empty and just for show) and left my house... leaving behind the smell of cheap cologne and hot dog water. It all seemed hopeless. Then I met Mr.Oren Amar from CID. Talking to him was like a breath of fresh air. He listened to my plans and didn't force any of his "creative ideas" on me. No phony briefcase and no $7,000 blue prints. This was a man that saw my vision and wanted nothing more than to appease my wife and I. Throughout the project Oren kept me posted. Everyday he would let me know what time his crew would be there and what they would work on. His workers knew exactly what to do without involving me. At the end of the day, Oren would call to make sure I was happy with the days work. His crew worked fast, they were neat and always cleaned up before quitting time. Oren would usually inspect the project throughout the week to make sure everything was in order and up to code. When an unforeseen problem would arise, Oren would take care of it like a professional and never tried to squeeze more money out of me. A stand up guy that honored our contract and made sure I was 100% satisfied with the progressions before collecting payments. I highly recommend CID Builders to anyone looking for a professional and knowledgeable workforce to renovate or make additions. read more

THE BEST IN LA! Oren and his team were amazing! My mother remodeled her home after 40 years and Oren made sure to go over every little detail with her to get the house exactly how she wanted it. He asked her all of the right questions to get a total picture of her style and to help her nail down exactly what she wanted. He was also great at being clear about what was not possible within her budget or what was not possible structurally, so he helped her stay on track with her vision. Oren also made sure to not go over her budget. If there was something that she wanted that was not in the budget, he made sure she was clear on how much more that would cost, and how much longer that would take *before* adding in anything different. His team was professional, on time and polite each time they showed up. And, they managed to finish the project early! Mom was moved back in in no time. Oren also dealt with me calling him from SF to check in on the job. What contractor allows an over protective daughter to call and ask questions? He handled all of my questions and concerns every time, and he is fantastic and a joy to work with. I have never met another contractor who took such great care of a client, and while I have had the pleasure of working with some really good contractors, Oren and CID took their work and profession to another level. Between their clear communication, staying on budget, maintaining reasonable expectations and the with the level of professionalism Oren and his team brings, you will not find a better contractor. They are the BEST, and I am so thankful that they took such amazing care of my mom. Thank you Oren and the CID Team!!!! read more

It all started with an idea. I wanted to replace a window in my office with some french doors. Well the french doors then led to a new back patio which then led to a new roof. Because Ron and his crew at CID Builders are INCREDIBLE!! The work is phenomenal. They are prompt, polite, hard working, honest and truly wonderful men. Nothing is missed, nothing is ever ignored and NEVER did I feel anything but grateful. Ron was always patient and encouraging and so thorough. I rate CID Builders & Developers a 5+ or more given the opportunity. This company is down right amazing. We needed a slab poured in our backyard and it turned out just absolutely beautiful. Oren delivered on all of his promises. The crew appeared on the property on time each and every day without failure. Oren said the work would be done in two weeks but they actually got it done in one week then used a few more days to put the finishing touches and left the property spotless at the end of the project.. Our next project is a kitchen remodel and we are definitely going to use CID to do this work. We have had lots of work done to our property and CID is by far superior to all other companies that we have hired in the past. We interviewed about 8 contractors to do a room extension, back pergola, front patio and give our house a fresh coat of paint. After speaking with Ben from CID Builders we knew straight away this is who we wanted to work with. Unlike the others, Ben was able to give us an estimate on the spot (it did not differ significantly from the actual price), he suggested modifications to our needs based on local building code, he didn't try to push something completely different from what we wanted, and he and our dogs got along immediately. CID Builders took care of all the plans and engineering, and submission of these details to the relevant authorities for approval. Throughout the renovations, all relevant aspects were inspected and approved immediately by the relevant city inspectors (no modifications to the work were needed to bring it up to code). Overall, we could not be happier with the finished product, the professionalism demonstrated by Ben and his crew, and the completion of the project in a timely manner (even during these COVID times).
