    Sandbag flew off the roof

The tarp installed was intended to be heavy-duty, as stated, but before it was opened I noticed it was a blue tarp labeled "M" for medium weight. My roof already had two tarps in place: a green tarp that belonged to me and a silver tarp purchased by my gardener. Both were removed, and only the blue tarp and the my tarp from my gardener were used, without my permission. You stated afterward that you "might as well" use them. I do not believe it was appropriate to use my property in this way and not even return it. They didn't say anything about leaving it. The installation also created a safety hazard. After installation, two sandbags became dislodged and struck my window. Prior to that, the tarp and sandbags were banging on my skylight repeatedly during the night, which made me feel unsafe and unable to sleep. I notified them promptly about both the noise and hazard. Despite multiple text messages, the response was that the issue would be addressed "when you could" and that a crew would come later in the afternoon. I informed them that this was not sufficient, as the loose sandbags created a clear safety risk. Action was not taken until after I repeatedly followed up and provided video and photographic evidence. I have provided this evidence previously, which documents the safety hazard and my repeated notifications. Only then was the tarp removed. Their statement that they responded immediately differs from the texts and photos I have. While the tarp was eventually removed, this occurred only after repeated notifications. The fact that it was removed without charge (they wanted to charge $200) does not negate the delay in addressing a known safety hazard that caused distress and risk to myself and property. Regardless of the temporary nature of the tarp, there is a responsibility to respond promptly when materials installed as part of the work create a safety or health risk. I don't feel this standard was met. I have requested a $699 refund since they took both tarps and caused me potential harm and distress. They refused. FYI: Company offered a discount if I gave a good review. Also after I decided to go with a smaller repair, they weren't interested and changed from very nice to I'll deal with the safety risk when I can. A complete reversal. I am making a report to the CSLB.

I was interested to work w/ Elanteric after seeing a previous raving review on here with very similar needs as us. We were looking for electricians to basically rewire our entire house that last had electric work prob around the 1950s and badly needed an electric update. For example, we couldn't turn on a specific number of electric appliances at the same time otherwise our house would get a blackout. We were able to complete the entire electric upgrade project in about 2 weeks (the days were spread apart), and were very pleased with how quickly the entire project moved. The Elanteric team was very communicative with us, therefore we were always aware what rooms would be worked on during their next visit and how much they were able to complete during that day. This house project was a challenge for our entire family as there were 2 of us who were also working remotely while the Elanteric team was working, but Elanteric made it as smooth as possible for us. We never had major power issues-- if Elanteric ever had to turn off the power temporarily (5-10 minutes or so), they would give us enough warning time and/or provided a generator therefore we never lost power for a long duration of time. In addition, our family never had to leave the house or lost all connection to power for more than 30 minutes. By the end of each day the team was working, all the new electric work they worked on was up to speed and we were able to enjoy the new electric work immediately. Book Elanteric if you need any electric work! Their schedules definitely fill up quick!

I recently hired Aryan and the Elanteric team for a 200 amp panel upgrade and removal of knob & tube for my 1930s home, and I couldn't be happier with the exceptional service provided. From start to finish, Aryan demonstrated a high level of professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail that surpassed my expectations. First and foremost, communication was outstanding. Aryan promptly returned my initial inquiry and scheduled a convenient time for a thorough assessment of my electrical system. He patiently listened to my concerns and explained the entire process, ensuring I understood the scope of the project and addressing any questions I had. Aryan and his team arrived punctually and maintained a clean and organized work environment throughout the entire project. They carefully removed the old knob and tube wiring and replaced it with new romex, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and local regulations. What impressed me the most was Aryan's attention to detail. He meticulously labeled all the circuits and junction boxes, making it easy for me to identify each one. I now have the cleanest panel ever. Moreover, they went the extra mile to optimize the wiring layout, ensuring improved efficiency and minimizing the need for future maintenance. On top of all that he helped me run Cat 6 throughout my entire house...for free. The quality of workmanship was outstanding. Aryan used high-quality materials and employed precise techniques during the entire process. He took the time understand our set up to ensure that outlet and ethernet placement makes sense and paid close attention to every connection and ensured the wires were neatly arranged, resulting in a clean and organized electrical system that surpassed my expectations. Furthermore, the electrician's knowledge and expertise were evident in their ability to troubleshoot and solve any unforeseen challenges encountered during the rewire. They demonstrated adaptability and resourcefulness, finding practical solutions without compromising on safety or quality. In terms of pricing, the electrician provided a fair and transparent estimate upfront, which remained consistent throughout the project. Considering the complexity of the task and the exceptional quality of work delivered, I am more than satisfied with the value for money I received. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Aryan and his team for anyone in need of a panel upgrade, knob & tube removal, and a whole house rewire. Their professionalism, expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction are truly commendable.

Aryan and the team at Elanteric were very professional and courteous. They booked me in same day for a 240v breaker box to outlet install on the 2nd floor. The job was a bit complicated, but they handled it within the budget estimate and patched and cleaned everything before they were done. My washer dryer combo is now installed and works great. Thanks Elanteric!

Bijan and his company are 5 star Generals! Very hands on and willing to make things right! I am excited to move forward with a job.

I first contacted a local company, but they weren't very responsive--and I quickly realized I couldn't move forward with my insurance claim without the help of a reliable roofer. That's when I found Final Touch Roofing, and I honestly feel so lucky I did. Ovi and Lia are absolutely the best. Lia, especially, was incredible--always available, always clear, and patient in explaining every step. Dealing with insurance was overwhelming, but Lia and Ovi guided me through the entire process and helped me submit every detail needed. Lia is also one of the most organized and reliable schedulers I've ever worked with. She always let me know exactly when we could talk and what to expect. Wanting to do right by the homeowner, I reached out to Lee and asked if he'd be willing to come take a look and provide an unbiased assessment of whether the issue was roof-related and how we could best solve it. Without hesitation, Lee rearranged his schedule, met me and the homeowner on site, clearly explained where the issue was with the window, showed video to clearly explain the issue, and helped us come up with a solid solution. His professionalism, knowledge, and willingness to help spoke volumes. This experience is a great reminder that even though we may be competitors, we can still work together, collaborate, and help one another for the good of the homeowner and our community. That kind of integrity is what truly sets good businesses apart. Lee with AAA Roofing is a prime example of what it means to be a good neighbor and a great business owner. In today's online world, finding a qualified, reliable, honest, friendly, helpful, and trust worthy…read moreroofing contractor is not an easy task. Today I found one of the best. I had the good luck to be referred to Lee Yosef and family owned AAA Roofing company. A few weeks ago, during an early winter storm I had the homeowners nightmare of a leaking roof. Being a 21st Century kind of guy Lee went directly to Google Earth and looked up my roof and was able to assess the situation....one that I had not considered....I have a roof full of solar panels. Oops I forgot about those. He advised me that I would need to have the section of the panels in the area of the leak removed so he could come out and troubleshoot the roof, find the leak and repair it. He knew I didn't need a new roof, he knew that I live in Venice Beach and his office is in Calabasas, and he knew it was coming up on a holiday weekend. Remember this is likely not going to be a huge job and the owner of the company saying that he will be coming himself. Nevertheless he put me on his schedule the Monday morning after the holiday. At this point his office manager and wife Anita took over. We texted back and forth frequently always keeping me in the loop. She helped me coordinate with my solar company so everything could be done at the same time. This is a family business and even though we had never met or done business before I felt a personal touch that is not usually the norm. Monday after the holiday weekend Lee arrives as scheduled, spends over an hour on my roof, and finds the source of the leak. He doesn't try to upsell me, or schedule one of his assistants to come back another day to repair what he found. He heads back down to his truck, grabs materials, goes back up to the roof, makes the needed repairs. I ask him if I can give him a check to pay for the work and he says something to the effect: "That's Ok, no charge." Now I'm not saying that Lee and AAA Roofing in Calabasas works for free, but for a company to go out of their way to help a homeowner make sure that a little problem does not turn into a big problem says more than I can adequately express. When the time comes to solve a big roofing problem there is no question of who I will call. Lee & Anita Yosef, AAA Roofing.

*Would Hire Again*…read more [Project Scope] Re-roof on a one story single family house, including new underlayment, drip edge, composite shingles, plus sheathing repairs and ventilation updates. FWIW, in my line of work we nit-pick over details & craftsmanship. I bring those expectations--for better or worse--to maintaining my house. Unsurprisingly, I tend to find some level of fault with any contractor. [Communication] The project manager (Danny) and front office (Melissa) were quick to answer the many questions I had via email, text, and phone. They were patient while I took my time selecting a contractor. They also coordinated directly with my solar contractor so the rooftop PV system was off the roof for no longer than necessary. The PM was out briefly each day to check the work and collect payment. [Availability] I didn't need the work done urgently, but Smart Roofing did start work within two weeks of signing the contract and finished within 3 days. [Warranty] One reason I chose this company was their standing as Owens Corning Platinum Preferred, which gets a workmanship warranty backed by Owens Corning (except the solar penetrations in our case), should the contractor ever go out of business. [Workmanship] Crews (separate tear-off and install) were on-time, respectful, and cleaned up each day. Overall, the work appears to be done well, though I'm no roofer. The way some of the holes in the roof were cut and flashings set did seem to be rushed, but so far it's watertight and that's what matters. The original sheathing had large gaps, which I asked to be fixed, although they may have done so without my asking, that wasn't communicated one way or another. They handled the addition of an exhaust vent flashing, relocation of a vent flashing, and removal of an unused vent flashing as per my request. [Issues] At some point, the furnace b-vent was pushed into the attic, breaking an elbow inside the attic. I ended up getting the part and doing the repair myself. Similar as well with the water heater b-vent: it was pushed down and crushed a section, but wasn't caught by the crew. Plus, the vent was reset at an angle so it's now pressed up against the house. Finally, while cleanup went fairly well, there was still trash and a few handfuls of nails scattered throughout the property, roof, and gutters--a small complaint and probably par for the course. Slightly-related... at no point did a Simi Valley building inspector come onto our property. For both inspections, a truck appeared across the street, yet no one got out. No looking at the back of the roof, no rooftop inspection, no check that sheathing was sound and work done correctly. What a joke, that $560 payment to the city. Thanks, Danny and crew, for the work!

From the start, communication was poor. They repeatedly blamed permitting and city hall for delays, promising the permit was "always around the corner" and that we'd be first up once the new year started -- that never materialized on time. When heavy rains hit in mid-January and the leak was getting worse, I pushed them to tarp the roof in the meantime. They tarped the wrong unit of our duplex. The tarp was also done so poorly it was flying off the roof, and our tenant's unit continued to leak throughout. By mid-February they still hadn't broken ground, this time blaming the rainy season. Work only started after I pushed them again. Once the project was underway, the original estimate ballooned -- they came back asking for roughly $1,000 more for the solar work and additional roofing costs. We paid what we felt was fair and moved forward. The final straw: after they issued a "final invoice" and we paid it in full -- believing we were done -- they came back asking for an additional $3,250. They apologized for "any inconvenience" as if it were a scheduling mix-up, not a failure to communicate thousands of dollars in charges before issuing a closing invoice. The roof work itself may be fine, but the experience getting here was exhausting. Constant runaround, poor follow-through, a botched tarp job that made our tenant's situation worse, and financial surprises at every turn. We would not recommend or use them again.
