December 12, 2022 Our customer notified ProBest on 12/12/22 that his pool equipment was not working properly after we did his termite job on November 29, 2022. Cost of termite treatment was $1425. He thought it was leaking. He sent pictures of drill hole in concrete near pool equipment. (All photos have been downloaded to customers file). I contacted our local handyman, Jerry. Jerry said that he couldn't do a job like that. He referred me to Zest Plumbing. Who then referred me to Swimming Pool Service and Repair. Their original base quote was around $600.00. I emailed Becci on Monday 12/12/22 at approximately 9:36am. She did advise that they were a couple days out. On 12/20/22 after checking every other day I finally had to cancel because customer was getting frustrated having to wait. Jack ended up going with CIB Plumbing & Rooter (a neighbor in his development). Rafael originally stated that it would be around $600.00 -$800.00 to repair. He did notify Jack and his wife that the price was increasing as the scoop of work was a little more than originally quoted. According to Jack, CIB was on the job about 10 hours. On Friday December 30, 2022, Jack sent over an invoice from the above contractor that was 3 times the amount quoted $2751. The contractor never contacted our office to discuss price increase as we would be the one paying for repairs which was explained at the beginning. I believe we should have been contacted and that $2175 was outrageous. read more
