Chuy's is exactly what you expect from a Tex-Mex chain: casual, consistent, and easy. We were seated immediately with no wait, and the service was the highlight. Friendly, attentive, and very fast from start to finish. The food was okay. Nothing I'd object to, but also not at the top of my list. It satisfied the hunger without standing out. That's what keeps it at four stars for me: great service and a smooth experience, very affordable, with food that's solid but not memorable.

When we arrived we got seated quickly , foot traffic was low our server Heather was very nice and attentive without overdoing it she was funny . The food was okay 6/10 for the green chicken enchiladas, the only burger option available was a kids burger which was good despite being a plain burger . The pictures of the creepy woman on the walls were off-putting . The strawberry frozen margarita swirls was strong which is a plus . Chips and salsa were good & complimentary However the guac and queso were offered to us but weren't mentioned there was a additional charge ( almost $10 each ) we ordered both which was an additional $20 miscellaneous spent, had we known there was a charge probably wouldn't have ordered both they were , ok definitely not worth the price .

When I was there today is the food was extremely salty so salty I could not even eat the hot sauce or the white cream sauce that they had the chips had so much salt on them that you had to dust it off. Another huge complaint I have is in the front of the entrance. They have six handicap spots in the back area where it's flat there was nine to go parking spots this location is located near an area that has a ton of disabled service people and it's very sad to see how they didn't have any places for anybody to park that is handicap I won't be returning

Decent Mexican food with an affordable price tag. The restaurant is very spacious. The service is good. Our server was friendly and quick. Free chips with salsa.

This is the front of the menu. True to the food we had that day!

We had a group of 7 that ate here after our trip to Buc-ee's in New Braunfels. The service was excellent and our group enjoyed the Tex-Mex menu. It was a quality lunch. I have eaten there a couple of times and I keep going back.

Chuy's changed so much after the pandemic. It has been disappointing and underwhelming to say the least. This lunch was surprisingly the opposite. It was worth the visit that day and I may go back again.

Whenever we try tex mex anywhere we go, we compare it to chuy's. Prices, portion, and quality is all there! Never disappointed.

This is my original triple dipper. Can't go wrong with chuys chips salsa, creamy and queso! There are a number of items on the menu you can't go wrong with! When I'm feeling like something light I get the soup when I'm more hungry the juicy fajitas!! Use to love coming for happy hour too.

Thankyou chuys for always being a great work lunch spot whether it is for our small team meeting at the restaurant or our holiday meal through order ahead at our property. Food and service is always great and price is reasonable

I love Chuy's queso, so every time I get a chance to go to a Chuy's, I am there. I like to sit at the bar because I don't have to wait for a table and the bartenders are always super nice. This place has a big bar area. They have high tops and waiter service. I Started off with the chips and queso and had a Texastini. This is my go to drink. Comes in a little shaker with a cute little martini glass. They garnish it with jalapeño stuffed olives. For my meal, I had the kids enchilada plate. it is always a good portion for me since I eat a lot of chips and queso and never have enough room for a huge adult meal. parking is on site and there's plenty of it.

I loved the decorations inside Chuy's! Each area had a different vibe and I thought that was so fun! The chips and salsa were really good. There was also like a ranch/salsa dip that was unique! The service was slow, but it was also busy. So I wont knock it! Our server was really great though! Chuy's, to me, would be a place I go to maybe once a month. I left feeling very heavy!

    A little bit of everything.

We stopped here in between soccer games to kill some time. I wanted margaritas and some chips, the hubby wanted food. Being in SA you want real Mexican food... this isn't the place. But, their food isn't horrible, just not authentic. I looooove their creamy jalapeño dip, so did my husband. Who also, interestingly enough, "hates ranch". We won't tell him. Service is great. Place is huge, restrooms are clean. Just don't expect real Mexican food- there's plenty of other places in town to visit for that.

I'm not a big fan of chorizo, but I do seek out unique variations of eggs benedict, and this one fit the bill, so I went for it. The flavor combination was perfect, and I wasn't overwhelmed with chorizo. If you like eggs benny, give this variation a try. You won't be sorry! The refried beans - I know it's silly to review beans, but these were a bit different than the normal ones we find in SA. They had a bit more texture, unlike the overly blended beans we're used to. Chef's Kiss goes out to these beans! The potatoes - we weren't sure what the seasoning was, but we think it was adobo. Whatever the seasoning is, it puts them over the top as far as breakfast potatoes are concerned. Good stuff! Just a couple of notes: We didn't get tortillas with our breakfast. It might have been an oversight, or our meals didn't come with them. Not sure. The service was great, but depending on the server you get, you might need to know some Spanish. I give them 5 solid stars for breakfast.

The cocktails were the best part of our experience. We planned to order a little of everything to try. We started with the Esquites Negros that feature huitlacoche, something I love but isn't on many menus. Their version was ok, but not great. It tasted like canned huitlacoche mixed with unseasoned frozen corn. After that we got the Pulpo Al Pastor. Octopus is another favorite that can be hard to find. Theirs was served on a warped wooden board that had already started to absorb the pineapple salsa smear. While the octopus was impressive to look at, it did not taste good. It seemed like it had not been prepped or tenderized properly. The bottom 1 inch of the tentacles was tender, but those usually are. Unfortunately higher up the meat was so rubbery that it was almost inedible. I ate a piece cut into tiny chunks with a tortilla and some onion to try to get through it. But I couldn't bring myself to eat more. After we had been sitting a while not touching it, a bartender asked how it was. We explained it was too chewy. He took it back to the kitchen. Another bartender informed us the manager took off 50% of the price of the dish because we had eaten part of it. No manager ever came out to speak to us about it. In fact, we didn't see anyone who looked like management at all during our experience- which is odd for a Friday night dinner service. At that point, we decided not to order more. We were talking about how empty the restaurant was while we were there, and now I can understand why. They have an interesting and intriguing menu, but what we ordered was poorly executed. While we might still go in for cocktails in the future, I don't think I would have dinner there or recommend them to others. Since we were still hungry when we left, we went to 2 other restaurants after this and, thankfully, had much better experiences at both.

It's a small and clean, but strange, dining room. The left side is a big glass-enclosed space with a few video games and supply storage. We would definitely return but probably just for takeout since we didn't care for the feeling of sitting in someone's storage space. For dining in, we'll go back to Stone Oak.
