2/10/2026: I'm just not a fan. I have tried over the years, but I've never been impressed with anything outside of their jalapeno ranch and salsa fresca. Knowing that I'm not a fan, one may ask, "why do you continue to go?". This most recent time was a birthday lunch with my coworkers. It wasn't my birthday, so I didn't get a vote. I had the chicken flautas. They were okay and the portion size is very generous, but the food always tastes like something I can get from the grocery store freezer section. Our server was really good. She was on top of our drink orders and special requests like a pro. A bad server can make you never return to a restaurant, but a good one won't make you come back without great food. If I was rating on service alone, I would give Chuy's 5 stars. The restaurant was semi-loud but I think it was mainly because the music was loud. However, my coworkers and I liked the songs selections. Early 90's sing-along songs. That was fun. Well, there you have it. Chuy's and me are not a match.

Chuy's was a great lunch spot! We got seated fast and the inside of this place is decorated so fun! The service was great. We ordered and the food was out quick. The chile rellenos was the best I've had in town so far. I'm glad I got the green hatch chile sauce, it added a nice kick. The peppers were tasty and the cheese filling was great! I was so full walking out! Great location, great service, pretty good food!

The atmosphere is interesting inside. The prices are really good. The food was underwhelming. Service was good. Would probably go back just for the inexpensive drinks.

Service was great, we got sat right away. It was a Friday during lunch hour. Plenty of parking, it was my first time bringing my parents and they loved the food. They can't wait to go back, our waitress was so nice. She was very helpful, my dad did not know what to order as they have so many items to choose from, the waitress helped him arrow it down. Ive always had such a great experience at Chuy's. The food was delicious and the establishment was very spacious with friendly staff.

Food quality is great for price; chips are very fresh and staff are friendly. Took one star because it was not appetizing to see you server clean with a broom before serving your food.

All the Chuy's I had been to in Houston, the interior is always beautifully decorated. The menu is simple but offers great selection. For today's visit, the service was great. My server was nowhere to be seen except for bill time. My party ordered the tacos and enchiladas. Our food was served room temperature, not even warm. The food presentation may be fine but the food quality wasn't good. Chuy's appeal would probably be their price point and colorful interior.

Chuy's.

Reviews are mixed. Many highlight the friendly, attentive service, lively atmosphere, and fresh chips and sauces. Drinks, especially margaritas, are also popular.

My order was all wrong and food was cold. However the skinny margarita was good. However my mom was pleased with her food and it was hot.

While they have their guest parking at the hotel premises, be very careful not to park in other lots that belong to the restaurants in that area. Towing is strictly enforced. The service was fine and the food was better than I expected. I ordered the open face steak melt with french fries. The sandwich was very good with cheese melting away and the fries were golden brown and crispy. Another notable thing that we ordered was the lobster roll with french fries. It was really good. There was plenty of meat/lobster and the sandwich was packed and stacked. It also was accompanied with golden brown crispy French Fries. This was my first time having a lobster roll sandwich and I really enjoyed it. The bar was full and there was music playing in the lobby. It was loud and there was plenty of seating area. We should have a good time on our subsequent visits.

The flour tortillas around the fish were strange even. They need a better sourcer. Go down the street to a local place! I ordered a cheeseburger cooked medium and it was bloody. Again, the meat quality was strange. It upset my stomach. The french fries and cocktail were exceptionally good.

I called back again to make sure there wasn't a minimum or anything, and they confirmed my reservation. When I showed up on game day, I walked into the full bar that clearly had no tables and went up to a man with a Decoy shirt on who said they don't do reservations. I told him I had just spoken to someone yesterday, and he "you have wrong information, there's no way we can do reservations with this many people - you probably called the corporate office (it's the number listed on their website so that made no sense)" and was very dismissive of me and not apologetic whatsoever. It's totally understandable that reservations wouldn't be possible on a World Cup day. Seems like the staff are not all on the same page, or I was misled to just get my group into the bar (which has happened at other bars during the tournament so it's not unheard of). Had to take my three nieces elsewhere at the last minute and don't imagine I'll be returning after that experience.

I've been twice this summer, and both visits were great. Tucked away next to Credence, Sidebar brings forth the kind of experience you'd expect from a proper speakeasy. There's an obscure door with a red light above it, and you actually have to knock to be let in. Once someone opens the door, you're escorted into the bar, and the entire atmosphere immediately sets the tone. The lighting is dim, the ambiance is intimate, and the space is well curated. There's just enough seating to feel comfortable without being overcrowded, which I appreciate. It's sophisticated without trying too hard like most other spots in the city. Service has been top tier on both visits. The staff is really friendly, welcoming, and attentive. There's often live music from a pianist, which adds another layer of charm. It's the perfect for a date night, drinks with the girls or just catching up with friends. It's a speakeasy so let's talk about the drinks. As someone who doesn't drink alcohol, I appreciate establishments that put genuine effort into their mocktail options. Sidebar has a good number of options, and the bartenders can also turn most of their cocktails into mocktails, which is a huge plus. The food is limited but the French fry tower is one of my favorite things about this place! Overall, Sidebar checks all the boxes for me. Two visits down, and I'm already looking forward to my next one in a few weeks.

Even the single-stall restrooms carry through the aesthetic--ornately styled and exceptionally clean.
