The steak burrito and queso is the best. Forgot about everything else tough, dull and tasteless. The green Chile is more like turpentine too hot to eat. The rice and beans were weird Texas Mex. New menu their prices went up on everything. Nothing authentic here. The steak burrito is expensive, but the only thing worse eating, pretty tender and tasty. Chips are thin but good, if they bring them hot. Waiter disappeared for a long time so it's not the best service. I liked the old hub cap room. Unfortunately Chuy's is another casualty of Covid 19. In the past, my go-to place for Chili Rejeno, The Elvis Combo, Elvis Chicken, etc. They no longer offer any of these dishes, and server said they are gone for good. Today I ate the famous Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and it is really good one of our favorites. One of the better Chuy locations I've been to! Sat on the patio and was welcomed with warm heat lamps, which was perfect on a chilly day. You can never go wrong with Chuy's unlimited chips and salsa and of course you can't forget the JALAPEÑO DIP! This stuff is addicting! This is something you have to ask the waiter, free of charge. I got the boom boom chicken enchiladas which were delicious. I didn't expect it to have a kick, but it did and I really enjoyed it because I do love my spice. My sister got the chicken enchiladas with the verde sauce, which was even spicier. I do recommend getting the boom boom sauce. We both preferred it. Our service was great but the food has gone SO downhill. I couldn't believe it! It's been this way the last 3-4 times we've gone, just kept thinking it would get better but we're giving up on this location. For reference, I got the chicken "panchos" and they had about 2 small pieces of chicken on each chip with barely any refried beans on some and none at all on others. Dry and bland. My husband got the chicken flautas and he described them as what you'd buy frozen from the grocery store. I hate to be rude, I've always loved Chuys! But that's why this location is so disappointing. I went with my family at 9:10 pm (they close at 10 pm), and we were immediately met with confused looks. The hostess seemed flustered and said that things were slow so they were cleaning up for the night, but they just need to clean the area and they can serve us. We followed her to sit down, and we could see her speaking with a group of servers that seemed more like an argument. We specifically saw one young lady roll her eyes, and the hostess came back and told us she was our server. Needless to say, we felt uncomfortable and decided to just leave. My wife went and told another server we were just going to leave, who was polite and said "we have no issues at all and we would love to serve you." Behind us an employee said "no we cant...what." This is a level of disrespect I have never felt at a restaurant, and the fact that my family was there was extremely inappropriate and ill-timed. I asked the kid what he said, and he acted like he didn't say anything. I told him I heard what he said and I asked him for his name, which he gave me after the third time I asked (Brayden). Im sure this guy is the life of the party outside Chuys walls with those knee slappers. I spoke with the manager after that, but it was clear to me that this kind of behavior has been tolerated by the management maybe due to an employee shortage. The manager was very nice and apologetic, and she insisted we sit and she would personally serve us. We still decided to leave. I know Chuys isn't a 5 star restaurant, but do better. read more

Love Chuy's! Always a solid choice for Tex-Mex. Though it's a chain, still love the fact that it originated from Texas. So done with Frisco Chuy's. Every take-out order we've placed with them has been incorrect. Today was the last straw. I ordered 2 burritos and 1 half order of beef fajitas and ended up with three burritos. They didn't even bother to fill the beans on one of them. Not to mention you end up waiting 20 mins to get your food (not today for us, thank goodness, but every other time we've gone we've waited 20mins) for curbside. I don't know if you need more help, better staff or better management (or maybe all of the above) but I'm sticking firmly with OTB. This place SUCKS! read more

Food is solid, it's Chuy's. The service is good considering they just opened. BUT, the bar and their lack of adhering to basic food safety measures is going to get someone very sick. First time eating at the new Frisco location Saturday 2/29/20 and we sat in the bar area. We noticed one manager and multiple waitstaff garnishing drinks. This in itself is not bad but......we witnessed the manager pulling his cell phone from his jean pockets multiple times and scratching his face multiple times without washing hands or using gloves before barehand garnishing drinks. Also witness multiple wait staff yawn in hand, scratch head, toss hair without bothering to wash their hands before placing garnish or an unwrapped straw into drinks. This is a receipt for transmitting something unclean to their unsuspecting guest. VERY NASTY seeing this behavior. read more

I think her name tag said Jill? She was making such a scene that ruined my appetite and honestly, my whole day. She seemed to instigate conflict and disregarded any customer satisfaction. The platter came out steaming, and the chicken danced on my tongue and sent me to heaven. Emmie was like my guardian angel, delivering the golden spiced hen with a glowing smile. And whenever I had the desire, she would manifest herself with a shining tray of crisp cold elixirs. I was feeling a little down that day, so Emmie called her personal therapist. I'm sure she would have given me some advice of her own, but some kid had a tantrum and hit the ceiling with his refried beans. After a good cry, I left the restraint satisfied and content. Other two bar tenders working seemed a little snotie and really wouldn't give you eye contact. Food came out and was cold both dishes. The couple next to us order fajitas and came without tortillas. One of the bartenders told them they had a call-in order and wanted 51 tortillas so it was gonna be a while. They where very puzzled to why the food was served not complete. This is our 3rd time at this location. The first 2 times were actually good. Every time, we ordered combo fajitas (beef and chicken) for 2. Now our 3rd time, it will be our last. The fajitas not only had no flavor, but the beef looked somewhat questionable. I'm not sure how does their quality control but some of the meat looked to be questionable after picking though the plate. A few of the pieces of beef were very fatty and how the meat looked texture wise up close. I wish I had taken picture of our first 2 times to show the difference in quality. Wow what a cluster. We have ordered out from here fairly regularly over the last two years but tonight was TOTALLY unacceptable. We ordered a huge order a hour and a half before we needed it and tipped 15 % for takeout. We showed up and texted. We waited 10 minutes and I went in to check on the order. No one would even acknowledge me. After another 5 minutes I stopped a server and she used an excuse that she was just a server. No manager in sight. I finally got another person's attention and she brought our bag out which broke because it was over stuffed. WTF. Put it in 2 bags! We are extremely late for our event and when I called to talk to a manager after we left it rang until it went into a full mailbox. The restaurant itself wasn't even busy! Rice, beans, etc. including kids meal. We couldn't eat our meal. The margarita was also very disappointing: lots of salt and lime juice so you can only imagine what that tasted like. Second time I went was for a to-go order, such a frustrating experience! Their to-go line is by the entrance of the kitchen so there is really no space for people to wait, took 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge me and get someone to help and another 15 mins to get food I had already ordered. We were so happy to see Chuy's come to FRISCO. We had been going to the Chey's in PLANO for years. We loved the new bright and airy decor. We went on the first week it opened, so we had over an hour and 1/2 wait. Our waiter was friendly and helpful on suggestions from the menu. We tried their house margaritas and they were terrific. We ordered Curbside To-Go for lunch today. This location in Frisco is not our normal place to go (we usually go to the one in Plano on the Tollway), and based on the quality of the food we received we won't make that mistake again. The chips were terrible. In fact, they were so stale and or soggy that you would think they were the leftovers from the day before. Many were just plain inedible. The fixings for the fajitas also seemed to be skimpy. We order the combo for two, but it appears we only got the fixings for an order for one. Overall - very disappointed. read more
