At first the service was ok but my daughter's orders small items and I was not hungry so order a beer. We were here for a little over an hr for soup and kid's tenders. The waiter says Alex has your table, It was a while before I was wanted another drink and I saw the waiter come by and ask him if he was still our waiter and he said "Alex is ur waiter". I stopped by Chuy's on Monday night with a couple friends, and while the food was fine, what I witnessed from the manager, Ethan, was enough to make sure I won't be returning anytime soon. In full view of customers, Ethan spoke to his staff in a way that was downright disgraceful--belittling and talking down to them over something that, frankly, was extremely logical and didn't warrant that kind of response. As someone who works in sales, I get the pressure of customer satisfaction, but there's a line--and Ethan crossed it by choosing ego over leadership. There's a right way to correct mistakes and lead a team, and what Ethan showed was anything but. His behavior was condescending, unprofessional, and frankly embarrassing--for himself and the restaurant. I won't support an establishment where that kind of treatment is tolerated. If you've never eaten at Chuy's then you need to do it now. It is an Icon in Texas for Tex-mex food. They have a very restricted menu during Covid, but everything they offer is good. Each location has different decor and that's part of the experience. Very casual dining. Great for kids and families as well, although a little pricier than some local places. If you're visiting Texas, then you need to stop in at Chuy's! Great Tex-Mex at a great price point. I met my friend for lunch at Chuy's and was pleasantly surprised with the amount of food I received. We started with some chips with salsa, jalapeño cilantro sauce and guacamole. The salsa was ok. I've never had a jalapeño lime sauce, it was a little runny and I don't really taste the jalapeño but I thoroughly enjoyed its flavor. The guacamole was different...it was good but there were strands of lettuce in there which was unexpected. I ordered a chicken and steak fajita. It came out piping hot and juicy with the works - sour cream, cheese, etc. there was only 3 wraps but it was more than filling! I also ordered a side of boom boom sauce which was good. I ended up with leftovers to bring home so thought portion wise, it was pretty big. My friend had the chicken enchiladas with their signature boom boom sauce. It had a bite, it was good but I think I preferred my fajitas. Would def come back! read more

Ordered the chicken fajita soft tacos. Very dry! The tortilla was very dry too. Even adding the guacamole on top did not help . I was very dissatisfied. I come here every chance I get on business since I grew up on Chuy's. Unfortunately, this will be my last time as I became violently ill within 2 hours of eating guacamole and a chicken burrito which was mostly beans with 5 pieces of chicken. I have never felt this bad and honestly wished for death. I hadn't eaten anything for 12 hours beforehand and still can't eat now. Do yourself a favor and avoid this location. It's dirty and the service isn't as good as it once was and I always tip Bri $20 and it's only me. They removed all the best things from the menu including the Elvis Fried Chicken, Stuffed Avocado Monday special at Barton Springs location, Hatch Chile Rice, Chile Rellenos on the #4, Banditos, Sopapillas, Macho Burrito, Table Salsa, Southwestern Enchiladas, Green Chile Stew, and so much more, but that's all I can think of for now. I get that not enough of us ordered the items, but it's ridiculous you can't at least make an August special with Green Chile Rice or a Cinco de Mayo Elvis Fried Chicken. It would be one thing if these weren't integral menu items, but most were. I might not feel the nostalgia of my childhood, but I'll be moving on to Cruzteca, El Dorado Cafe, El Alma, Dos Salsas, and Gasp... Lupe Tortilla. Chuy's is one of my favorite restaurants of all time, if not the all time favorite. The only problem at this location is the inconsistencies. The service can be slow if it's on a slower day, more often than not there would be something on my plate that was cold or lukewarm, and the wait times can be really high despite it not always being busy. The servers though are really friendly just like with all of the other locations. If you're really really in the mood for Chuy's then I'd suggest one of the other locations, but if you're near this one you could give it a shot and see what happens. read more

We went today around 3:30 and it was pretty crowded but plenty of tables were still available, when we first walked in the hostess kept coughing, let's hope allergies. Then we requested to sit on the patio, they took us to the patio and said we have to choose between two tables only, we can't choose the other open tables that we're right beside them. This review is based on their service during the current climate. If you haven't heard we are basically in lockdown mode with our only options cook ourselves or do takeaways. Since we are both getting weary from cooking, BBQing, and having salads a night out/in was in order. We have driven past Chuy's a number of times and their parking lot has been packed with folks awaiting their take out orders. On Sunday evening we ordered online via their APP and was informed that our dinner would be ready in 30 minutes. I had a cocktail and steeled myself for what I thought would be a flustercluck based on previous reviews. We arrived at 7PM and joined the others parked around the building. When you arrive you send a text with your Info and the parking spot number. I settled in for a long wait. Our order was supposed to be ready at 705PM and at 705PM it arrived! My Mexi salad was fine and Plus 1's Chika Boom Boom was delicious as always. Good job Chuy's and I can't wait to belly up to your bar and have a proper Mexican Martini! read more

Take out was a great experience. They forgot my avocado on my salad but it was still so yummy. For the past year I was limited to the San Marcos location which is great but this Cedar Park location has an even better taste which I didn't think was possible. I ordered a small queso. I don't know that it was actually cheese. It was a very watery version of cheese soup. Didn't have much of a flavor not sure what has happened to Chuy's. I used to order the gooey chewy dip years ago, and it actually tasted like cheese. Margarita was way too sweet. Got my order on my nachos so late that I had to have them wrapped up to go. I've been to several places around the U.S. that claim they serve Hatch, and I must say Chuy's is one the few that does! Operating under Covid-19 for their staffs and customers safety, so this place is not at max capacity for service, but that doesn't stop them from providing excellent service, and food! The place is well kept, and when you do dine in, you'll appreciate all they have done to provide a safe environment for all! Our server was Dawson and he was very knowable, quick, and professional! The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. I definitely recommend the Hatch green BUT understand it is hotter than normal chile! This place is great. There is always a wait so prepare for that especially during lunch hours. Their creamy jalapeño dip with chips is something special. Typical Tex Max atmosphere and vibe. In Cedar Park on a Tuesday night and decided to try Chuy's with some friends. Conveniently located in a strip mall right off the main road and freeway, plenty of parking, easy to get to. The decor is very eclectic and a lot going on with hubcaps in the ceiling, pictures everywhere, and a free nacho bar made out of the back half of a car. They have t-shirts for sale, and a large bar area. Even on a Tuesday night, it was very crowded, but not too long of a wait, just sign in and get your buzzer to notify you when your table is ready and enjoy the free nacho bar. I think we waited around 10 - 15 minutes. The server was very helpful and friendly, answered all questions, made suggestions, and checked on us often. That is the reason for the 4th star. There is a lot of noise and excitement, great place to bring large parties, children, etc. The menu has plenty of options, and even some "healthier" options that are less calories, etc. Tacos, Tostadas, Burritos, Soups, etc. The nachos are pretty good, especially with the queso. I tried 1 of the healthier meals with a taco, good food, but nothing spectacular. I got to try a little bit of a few other meals, they were all tasty and good. Let me start by saying, I'm not asking for anything, no free meal, no comps or refund. Being born in Austin in 1959, I have been eating at Chuy's since day one. Literally hundreds and hundreds of times. Knew Mike and sold him restaurant many many times. The last three times I've eaten at the location in Cedar Park, I have left telling myself, " that I won't go back". Well, tonight was the last time I will most likely ever eat in your restaurant. To be blunt, your food sucks. What happened after Covid? Not only did you eliminate Elvis fried chicken, Jalapeño rice, fresh tortillas, happy hour buffet and other things from your menu, but your food quality has dropped to something comparable to taco bell. It's not just this location, the other locations are the same. It be honest, it taste like it came out of a can. There used to be a line out your door, that's no longer the case. I have been coming to chuys for years and the cedar park location is usually the one we visit most. I have the say the food is always good but the service has went DOWNHILL. The hostess staff are horrible, inaccurate quote times. This last time we had 7 of us and went at lunchtime. Told 10-15 min well that came and went then we checked in was told another 10-15 checked again and told the same thing. Finally I was annoyed and asked for a realistic wait time. They couldn't give me one. Took over an hour to get a table at lunchtime. Then our server had to be asked multiple times for a straw, drink refills, sour cream etc. This isn't the first time we have had issues with the hostess stand. They really seem to struggle with realistic wait times. Sad read more
