Chips were wonderful with their dip. Very light crispy chips with a good flavor. However, I got the shrimp tacos and the tortillas were basically straight out of the package. If you don't heat up flour tortillas they can be dry and almost chalky and they will also sometimes crumble. Chuy's is great! We expected a few bumps in the road since it hasn't been open long but we had a great experience. Our waiter was friendly and enthusiastic. He also knew the menu well and checked on us frequently. The jalapeño cream sauce is like a spicy ranch and I could literally drink it. Ask for some with your chips and salsa! The chicken chalupa and enchilada were both delicious. I felt like the chicken in the enchilada could have had a bit more seasoning but the sauce is tasty so it's still good. My boyfriend got the #1 which is basically a sampler platter and the cheese enchilada with Chile con queso was amazing. I'm definitely going to have to order that next time! They also have some great drink specials on week nights and a lot of mixed drinks that look delicious. read more

So if you know me you know I love Mexican food. Well for Tex-Mex Chuys did not disappoint. To start the wait on a Friday night was only 25 minutes and there was a tone of people sitting outside waiting. Once inside the decor was pleasant and inviting. Joel our server was great, Explained everything perfect and made sure to mention that everything was made fresh, and you could taste the freshness. The food was great. I had the Enchilada, Taco and chalupa with a side of grilled shrimp and it was great. The seasoning and sauce was homemade and I wanted some to take home. My wife has the fajitas and loved them. A great menu selection. Be careful because the freshly hot made fresh chips will surely get you full if you are not paying attention. read more

Restaurant open about two weeks ago, this is my first time in Chuy's. What can I say? If you like TexMex food, this is your place, The portions was very generous, price is average, service is was very good, and services was fast, however my personal opinion, all the food taste the same, all the platter taste like the using the same taco seasoning, we order 3 diferentes platters, and is The same flavor in everything, is like the use the same seasoning for the meat and for the rices and beans and enchiladas, everything tastes the same to me. This is one of my husband's favorite places, so I hope he doesn't notice my three-star review. He had me so amped to try it, and I was pretty pleased with the food at the Noblesville location. Every experience I've had here has fallen a bit flat. First, the good things. The chips and salsa are great, you would be hard pressed to find better anywhere in town. The jalapeno ranch is my absolute favorite, I think I would eat an old sneaker if it was dipped in that ranch. But everything else gets a big meh from me. Service has been hit or miss. Food has also been hit or miss. I wanted so badly to like the fresh pressed tortillas, but it just made my enchiladas soggy. I've tried the ground beef on three different occasions and I will never order it again. It was lukewarm every time I ordered it, which is not only untasty, it concerned me from a food safety perspective. I will happily go for margs and appetizers, but I'll skip meals here. read more

Horrible experience. Not family friendly. Seated us alone in the screened in patio seating because "no other table could accommodate a highchair." The restaurant was half capacity, and many tables were available, ones which I have previously sat at with a highchair. Hostess would not budge. I have never felt more shamed for having children. I can imagine being seated by the kitchen but seated outside in February. I'm furious at myself for not sticking up for myself and my daughter and walking out. Trying to find something different and gave this place a try. The atmosphere is different here but not in a bad way at all. Everyone was friendly, things looked clean, etc. ended up starting with a house margarita which was very good and had to try the cheese dip to start. After words since they seem to be making a big deal about the Fajitas had to try them too. This is where the issues started. I get they say everything is made fresh and they don't freeze anything but everything we had was cold or had a weird taste to it. Which I should have listen to due to I got sick soon after. The tortillas they say are fresh made but were cold and seemed like day or 2 old bread, not fresh tortillas period. The beans you could tell them microwaved due to the explicit heat but old taste. The rice was just cold and stuck together like someone wasn't paying attention to it. The kicker is how they say they take all this extra attention with the chicken but that was the most bland over cooked chicken ever along with burnt vegetables. Should have paid more attention. After I got sick I figured hey the food tasted weird ( I've had Tex's mex before) I would tell our waitress who her attitude changed from happy to omg go away. She went and got her manager and told me "not possible for our food to get you sick period. We cook everything fresh and don't even have a freezer in the back" I was being attacked for getting sick from the food I just eat. I even told them look I'm not trying to get out of paying since it seemed like they were just thinking I don't even know. She snatched my bill up giving me the dirtiest look and stormed off. She ended up coming back and saying you have to pay for the drinks threw the check at me and walked off. I'm not sure what her issue is but I will never ever be back after this time. A good restaurant would take the issue that happened and fix it going forward even if they don't believe you don't take it out on the customer. read more

I visited for the first time today. I don't know if today was just an off day or their usual, but it was a really awful experience for me. The waitress was nice and did a great job, but from the get go the menu just doesn't have a great selection. I got my Mexican go to (a chicken enchilada) and my boyfriend ordered a chicken fajita. I also ordered a cherry coke. It tasted really off, like possible residue from cleaning or something was in the line off. We did order queso, which was really good. But just to exemplify the elevated prices, the queso was $8.70. We got our food pretty quick, but we were disappointed once we bit in. The chicken in my enchilada was just plain white chicken wrapped in a tortilla with some sauce on the side. The rice was minute rice, which wasn't even seasoned well. My boyfriend was going to share his fajita with me, but they didn't season that either, it was just seared chicken that had been burnt. With an alcoholic beverage (cherry limeade), the total was $68 and some change. I was so frustrated that when the waitress gave us the ticket I went to the front to pay it, because I just wanted to leave. I was kind of frustrated by the minimum effort that was put into the food I ate, so did ask the waitress when she asked how the food was "what seasoning usually goes into the chicken enchilada?" She told me that they usually marinade it. I told her they may want to check in with chicken staff because I had plain white chicken. She did offer me a meal voucher, but I told her I had no interest in returning. Waitress was great and so don't worry I did tip the 15%, but honestly my goal when I go out is the food. The food was worse than anything I could have made, and I'm a terrible cook. Next time I'm just going to outback, it's cheaper and the food is actually good. read more

When I moved from Vegas, I was happy to leave the "West Coast" Version of Mexican food behind, because I don't care for green or red chile. I don't care for black beans and I'm not a fan of avocados. However, I didn't think I would be able to find any good Mexican Food in the Midwest. I was floored to find a Texas Favorite when I found this place not too far from my house. I got there in mid afternoon, and it was fairly quiet. They had $2,00 Margaritas, but I really wasn't in the mood for a frozen drink, since it was cold and rainy. I ordered a Shiner Bock Beer and to eat I ordered the Tex-Mex Cheese Enchiladas with Refried Beans and Spanish Rice. And they were as good as I've ever had outside of Texas. The restaurant was clean. I sat at the bar and the service was very good. I really can't complain about anything. The food was good, service was good, it was clean and the price was right. As long as people keep making excuses for poor service there will never be any motivation for restaurants to change. Seated at 6pm and sat with our menus out waiting for our server. About 4 servers walked by dozens of times serving everyone around us - even people who were seated after us. There were lots of empty tables and no one waiting so confused at the delay. Finally, after 15 minutes of waiting, as we were preparing to leave (it was obvious we weren't going to get served) Brittany shows up and announces she is our server. I asked why she'd walked by us multiple times and never acknowledged us? She claimed she "didn't see you". I worked as a server all through high school and college and I know a lie when I hear it. Of course, she saw us - it's her job to pay attention to the tables in her section. At that point we just left. Nothing was going to salvage the night. I noticed their menu was pared down and combining the limited selection with poor service and there was no reason to eat there or really ever to go back. Decided to have dinner here to celebrate Back to School with the Family. They don't accept reservations and they don't provide buzzers so you have to either stick around the area to wait or make sure you have a charged cell phone to receive notice. It was pretty busy when we came. We were advised it would be a 30 minute wait but we were seated in 15! The decor is very colorful and nice. Our booth however was still dirty and the floor around it had what appeared to be like smashed gum on the tile floor. That was a little off putting. Definitely off putting. Our waitress was very efficient and friendly- we received our chips and salsa as soon as we were seated! I had the Chicken Enchilada and Chalupa and my son had the Chicken Quesadillas. Delicious meal -even better when leftovers were warmed up! Price was reasonable as well! Would consider returning because of delicious food and to try out some of the cocktails. Cons: Needs to be cleaner ( Self explanatory. True enough it was busy but clearly could have been improved and more of a priority - plenty of restaurants are able to manage this ) Consider providing buzzers to customers when waiting- not everyone has a cell phone. This is my favorite Tex-Mex place in town! Their shrimp tacos are outstanding and my go-to order but I also love their fajitas. If you go during happy hour during the week, make sure to head to the bar to the car trunk and get some queso for your chips! Their swirl margaritas are delicious and their featured drinks are usually really good, too. My kids love their tacos (and their French fries). Ok, so I don't usually review chain restaurants, I figure they have things down to a science with all the franchise details, but this one went beyond my expectations. My hubby called it Tex/Mex, but I thought it had some authentic Mexican to it.
