When we visited Littleton NH my wife and niece were craving some candy so we had to come to Chutters candy shop since they boasted having "The World's Longest Candy Counter". When we entered the store we were surprised to see the huge selection of candy they had. We all went hogwild on the candy counter and ended up walking out with three huge bags of candy. The cost here was fairly reasonable in comparison to other candy shops we have visited in the past. We thoroughly loved the selection here and truthfully out final thoughts on this candy shop can't actually be summed up in words, but instead with a slow clap erupting into a standing ovation. read more

Well, now I can say I've officially visited the World's longest Candy Bar! Fun outing to take my son on. He loved picking out Candy and filling up his bag! Great selection of candy too! read more

Great fudge with great variety. You can get 1 1/2 pounds for around 16 dollars. We chose 6 different flavors. Would love to go back and try more flavors. I loved the chocolate and peanut butter fudges while my husband loved the mint chocolate cookie fudge. read more

Be prepared to open up your wallet because this candy shop does have it all. Reminisced about some candies from my childhood. The kids were equally thrilled with all the latest. read more

They have a HUGE variety of candies and chocolates as well as a ton of other random things to look through. They are requiring masks and distancing currently but be careful if you're worried because candy shops attract children (and adults) who don't listen to rules or respect personal space. read more

Well who on Earth would have thought that the longest candy counter would be in little ol' Littleton, NH?! Seriously they have candies from the past that you can't find any more, plus tons of fudge and other yummy confections. Ok so I think its a little expensive at $12.99/lb for candy, but I guess you have to do it when you are there. I love the jelly fruit slices and they have literally every flavor. Like Jelly Bellies? EVERY FREAKIN FLAVOR! So yeah...if yaw up nawth with the kids, then go heeyah. read more

Wow, what a find! I love candy and adore going into candy shops to get a variety of sweets. Yes, that is the point of candy counters, even for high prices. Don't come here for just say, gumballs. You will/should walk out empty handed and disappointed. We had just parked here to walk to Flapjacks, as we get our parking spot, I see a candy store! We must stop there before we leave I said to my mom! I certainly didn't know it was the worlds longest candy counter and was shocked when I walked in. Yeah, I had to take a picture. I got like $5.46 in candy and was pleasantly surprised I didn't ring up a full pound. Come check it out for a treat for yourself or a treat for your soon to be happy kid! read more

More like 4.5, but only because of the price. If you have a long drive ahead of you, don't stop here. You'll end up buying a massive bag of different candies, spending $25, and eating it all before you arrive at your destination. Fabulous selection and, because of the volume they sell, the candy is pretty darn fresh. Best Swedish Fish around, big and soft. There's more to it than just the "Worlds Longest Candy Counter." Next to that massive amount of candy in jars are other bins that have some tasty chocolates. They also make fudge, but I have to admit, I haven't bought any (I tend to have a few tasters to satisfy that sweet tooth). Advice: scout out the counter BEFORE you begin to choose. If you want variety, only put a few (4-7) pieces of candy in your bag at a time. Before you know it, you'll be at $20. read more

Amazing! You can find almost any candy ever made and it's delicious. The fudge is fantastic and should be illegal.

Everything about this place is great, especially the candy and fudge they make. I am pretty picky about local chocolatiers and was pleasantly surprised that theirs is wonderful. Of course the candy counter is really fun, and the rest of the store is filled with other food goodies and novelty items. read more

Chutters is a diabetic's wet dream. The selection is overwhelming, and the staff is very helpful. I was able to find Teaberry Gum at Chutters, and I haven't seen that since my childhood. read more

It is pricey...because you tourists come and plunk down your cash. The owners love that. But for the locals, it's a good place when you have a craving....and 10 bucks burning a whole in your pocket. read more

Here's something that will enhance your vacation: candy! Lots of candy. They have tons of stuff, and I don't have tons of money, but nonetheless, I somehow ended up with truffles, maple sugar, and a toy moose, out of many other things. There aren't many people that couldn't find some guilty pleasure from among their truffles, fudge, and a wall full of very appealing jars of all sorts of things. The good news is, you're in Franconia, and you can walk this stuff off pretty quickly. read more

This place had a LOT of candy. I mean a TON. I will say the best stuff we got there though was the "fancy" chocolates at the "other" counter. I don't even know how they made it back to Chicago because I could have eaten the WHOLE box before I got back to the car. The different flavors of fudge was not so appetizing to me but I'm a traditional fudge kind of gal so I'm not sure I can be too judgy on that. I am a little disappointed though because for the candy shop with the longest candy counter in the world, they could have done so much more. The place is a little run down and not in the "folksy" way. It smelled great in there and really had a TON of candy to chose from but I just think with a candy experience like that, they could have really done something like a scene out of Willy Wonka. read more

This is candy overload! So many different choices of candy that it makes you mad that you cannot make a rational educated decision on what type and flavor of candy to purchase. Not Diabetic friendly! read more

Chutters - Assortment of malted balls! - Candy Stores Near Me - Littleton, New Hampshire

BEST FUDGE EVER. Now, I don't want to sound like some fudge connoisseur, but I have been searching far and wide for good fudge for a few years. I admit I haven't been all around but Six Flags, Northhampton, and Newburyport fudges have NOTHING on this stuff. Their chocolate is very milky, creamy, thick, and dense, just the way I like it. They have a lot of interesting flavors as well and I was not disappointed by the maple or mint oreo! Other flavors seen were orange and vanilla cream, white chocolate cheesecake, and something rasberry... I can't remember, there were too many! They all looked so good but I must admit I am a simpleton in that I like plain chocolate the most. They have free samples already prepared which was a big help, I like trying something before buying. It's not even expensive! It's $14/lb but there was a deal to get a half pound free with a whole pound, which was a great deal. Then the lady cashier was super nice, adding a cherry on the whole experience, and leaving me a large amount of delicious fudge to last me hopefully til the end of the week ;) read more

I have come here for longer than I can remember. It's a cute and fun place but while the rest of Littleton is struggling to reinvent itself this place doesn't change much, especially the prices: a little steep. I wish they sold more real local stuff and not the t-shirts made in Chine Must say: service is excellent. read more

What can I say that hasn't already been said - world's longest candy counter including tons of rare and old candies, lots of local toursty trinkets and foods, fudge, oh my. I bought three different kinds of Bullseyes, one of my favorites and sour gummy bears. Yum. They had a sale on fudge: buy a pound, get a half pound free. So my hubby brought home a pound and a half box of fudge. I have never seen a fudge counter like that before. They had so many different kinds of fudge that I couldn't believe it. I sampled their chocolate and strawberry cheesecake flavors. Their samples were so big I felt like I was stealing. The hubby ultimately bought maple, chocolate peanut butter, heath bar, butterscotch, cookie dough, and a couple other that I can't even remember because he bought like SIX KINDS. Ridiculous. A trip to Franconia Notch is not complete without a visit to Chutters. read more

How can you not love an old-fashioned Candy store. I grew up going to the Barber shop down the street and he had jars of penny candy to choose from. Walking into Chutter's makes you feel like a kid in a...well, you know what I'm saying! I will say that the candy is pricey. If you are going in to get standard, everyday junior mints or something you could get a convenience store then hold your wallet. But, if you are looking for something from your childhood (zagnut bar!), or a specialty item (chocolate dipped oreos, peanut butter pretzel balls) then it's totally worth it. It's the major tourist attraction in town so if you are visiting, head to Main street and follow the crowd. And, if you like nostalgia, stop by L next door. read more

What New England town doesn't have a candy store? And this one lives up to what it should be. Dylan's ain't got nothing on this one.

Chutter's holds the Guiness Book of World Records for the LONGEST CANDY COUNTER! How cool is that? The candy is held in glass jars and you get to fill up your bag(s) with whatever you want (after putting on a glove, of course). I can't even begin to list the candy here because it's endless. But the highlight for me was the extensive variety of Necco candy. Necco is a Boston-based candy company. Now that I live in NJ, I can't find some of my favorites - such as Squirrel Nut Zippers and SkyBars - unless I venture up to New England. So that was a treat for me. Definitely stop by, especially if you have kids, but be prepared for sugar overload! read more

I've been here a few times now, and while the candy counter is impressive, the homemade fudge is actually my favorite part. There are at least a dozen flavors, including some unusual ones like rainbow sherbet and chocolate orange. read more

If you're addicted to sugar or in search of a candy bar, fudge, lollipop, jellybelly, gummy, poprock, etc. to satisfy your sweet tooth, you have to stop here. Boasting the longest candy isle in the world, you will feel like a kid again. You know, where the biggest issue will be finding what candy to buy. If you're in the area, check this place out and stretch your legs walking around the downtown which has many interesting shops and restaurants. read more

"WORLDS LONGEST CANDY COUNTER" in the Guinness book of world records. It is amazing just to see it. Candy jars allllll the way down the wall! Awesome :) they have every kind of candy you could imagine!! It is a bit pricey though, especially for typical candy bars you can buy at a 7-11. They also have home made fudge and truffles that are amazing. The store also sells gifts and random trinkets. A fun place to go with kids and just adults!! Parking can be a pain though during a rush- its street parking. read more

Love this place !! Friendly staff, nice and clean inside, plenty of gloves supplied for the candy jars. Baby stroller accessible & Fair prices! Each member in our family got to fill a bag of treats and bring back to our cabin. Chutters is a great little vacation pit stop to make ! (Favorite is the chocolate covered Swedish fish, sounds gross... but we're amazing!) my fiancé's favorite was the chocolate dipped potato chips ! read more

One of the neatest benefits of having kids is that you have a tailor-made excuse to stop into every candy shop you come across. Chutter's claims to have the world's longest candy counter, which sounds really impressive until you realize that it's just an endless row of glass jars set against a wall and filled with generic candy that you could get anywhere else. But whatever--at least it's one more thing to keep the kids occupied while you browse the aisles for your diabetes of choice! Four stars for this classy place. read more

My five year old was jumping out of her skin with excitement as soon as we walked through the door! World's Longest Candy Counter! Grab a bag and pair of gloves and load up! Lots of fun stuff for adults as well. I bought two kinds of pickled eggs for myself. Nice variety of BBQ sauces and New England old fashion Yankee kitsch for stocking stuffers. We were only able to drag the little one away by reminding her of the dancing bear's at Clark's Trading Post:) Is it a little pricey and touristy? Yes. Is that a bad thing? Not necessarily, unless you plan on going there every day. If you are on vacation, definitely worth a visit. read more

Chutters is the best candy store chain in all the world. Chutters hold the record for the longest candy counter in the world. Chutters is indefinetly the motherload of candy, and yes, 10 out of every 10 dentists do not reccomend this candy store, but of course I do!!! I would recommend a family visit once or twice a year if you can't stop from drooling at the window display. Go in and buy some candy! GO TO CHUTTERS! CLEARBROOK, NH!!! read more

I live in CT and I always love a good New England candy store. This place has it all! So many different candies from sour, salty, spicy, nutty, crunchy - you name it they have it. Chutters - Childhood memories - Candy Stores Near Me - Littleton, New Hampshire

Visited this wonderful candy store while on a road trip through New England. They had every kind of candy imaginable, even stuff you don't find in the stores anymore, souveniers, gifts and the BEST fudge I've ever tasted. To this day, I have not found anyone that sells Butterscotch fudge that tastes like theirs. I wish they shipped to other parts of the U.S., as I don't know when I'll get back there, but if I do, I'll definitely stock up! read more

Yes you can find any candy from your childhood, yes you can find the longest candy counter in the world! This place is a check off the bucket list if you happen to be in the area, but honesty it's just like any other large candy store. read more

It's claim to fame is it is the home of the 'world's longest candy counter.' Wow. It's a tacky and tired looking store on Littleton's unimpressive main street with a lot of candy in bottles along one wall. They sell fudge too. Tourists with low-expectations come in and buy stuff they neither need or really want. You could live quite contently without stepping foot in this 'cheap' looking 'tourist attraction.' I'll never go back. read more

Yeah, there's a lot of candy, but nothing I haven't seen somewhere else. Prices are way better than NYC so I bought a bunch and enjoyed every bite, but it's still just a candy store. read more

VERY pricey! If you (or, worse, your kids) are dazzled by the hundreds of colorful jars on the long candy counter you may not notice that you're paying four times the price per pound for the same types of candy you can find elsewhere. Many of the varieties you'll see are blasts from the past, making you wonder where on earth they got them and how many people could be buying them. Could they possibly be fresh? My advice: stick with the candies you absolutely cannot resist. The freshly made fudge is very good, too, though, again, on the high side, dollar-wise. Whatever you do, unless you're really wealthy or foolish, don't just let your kids loose in this place. They're very unlikely to pay any attention whatsoever to price and will blow away your vacation budget. read more

Sure, they have a huge selection. That being said there was not much that I couldn't find at a convenience store. The homemade fudge was good but also standard for fudge. I found the prices to be rather have I given that they are for candy and the place is designed for families which may not have a lot of money. All in all it's a cool concept but nothing I will ever really need to see you again. I would say try it once just to say that you have done it and enjoy the free samples. read more

The kids loved this store - how could they not? The parents thought the prices was quite high. 10.99 per lb for your standard sugar candy (gummy, jelly bean, etc). Fudge selection was enourmous but we thought it was too sweet and opted not to purchase. Some cute gift items - we bought a nightgown with a mouse on it for $26. read more

One of my favorite places to go to in Littleton. It makes you feel like a kid again and you always walk out with a smile on your face and a great bag of all your favorite candy in hand. It's no wonder they call Littleton "Glad Town". Don't leave the without taking a walk down the candy counter. read more
