There are some unique finds here that you won't easily find in your average candy spot. Only thing that could be tricky is if you have an allergy. Instead of individual scoopers, the "glove your hand" approach allows for lots of cross contamination between the containers if that bothers you. read more

Very friendly service at this cool candy store. A lot of the candy is 17.99 a pound, candy bars and a lot of interesting sodas are just under $3 a piece and they have a lot of fudge options...I think that was $17.99 a pound as well and since we bought a pound, we got a 1/2 pound free...so we got 6 types...will last us all week I'm sure! While in the area for a wedding on Fri. 09/27, my cousins, mother, sister, niece & grandmother all wanted to go to Chutters to see the longest candy counter (it's 112 feet in total). I ended up dropping about $60 mostly in savory items & a small amount of candy. It was fun to be in the atmosphere even if you don't purchase anything. This place is very, very clean as well as organized. I cannot stress that enough. Their practice for retrieving candy includes gloves & simple sanitary practices. I didn't observe anyone ignoring the rules. They color code the candies in terms of price per lb. It's easy to know what you will spend & there is a weighing station so you don't over-do it. When one of the candies ran out that my mother REALLY hoped for, one of the associates came right over to fill the jar. She was glad to help & I think she enjoyed the excitement it brought my mother. My sister got a bunch of different fudges - there were so many to choose from! Along with things to eat & treats, they have a lot of NH nostalgia & cute gifts, such as BBQ sauces, spices, local maple syrup, mugs, greeting cards, dish towels...you name it. I was able to snag a few gifts for stocking stuffers while I was there. The cashiers/associates were all super friendly & you can tell they love their job. Because this is located on a busy street, parking is tricky. Try to find Lot E (?) for free, uncovered parking across the way, up a hill. Clutters in Lincoln is always our go to for our yearly family vacations. This year we decided to drive a bit longer to check out the Town of Littleton (so happy we did) and we found this location. With the WORLD's longest candy counter! And yes, they are in Guinness book of Records too! Very friendly staff, HUGE store that just greater you with the delicious candy smell once we walked in. On just about the cutest Main St in America sits the cutest (but don't be fooled, it's huge) candy shop. They boast that they hold the world record for the longest candy counter but after a quick look around, we were more taken by the chocolates on the other side of the shop. A very sweet woman working there helped us assemble a box of about 6 to take home. They did not make it to the next day because, you guessed it, they were all just that good. Chutters might be the World Longest Candy Counter, but a lot of the candy is stale and hard. Several of my favorite licorace candy was very hard, not soft like I remember the licorace candy being. It's literally been a lifelong dream of mine to come here. My dads last name is Chutter (no relation) and we've always spoken about coming here. Unfortunately, he couldn't make it, so I had to make the trip solo. What a beautiful candy store! The workers were all SUPER kind and friendly. The store had quite the assortment of candy, locally sourced items and some special Chutter's house items. A brightly colored tie-dye T-shirt in the front display window of Chutters caught my eye, and I went in to buy it, not realizing Chutters is primarily a candy store that also sells T-shirts, mugs, and collectibles. I wound up browsing around for about 45 minutes, enjoying this fun store! The long candy display has to be seen to be believed! Forty varieties of licorice are offered (I counted!) along with every flavor of jelly-belly jelly beans, gumdrops, caramels, chocolates, mints, lollipops, taffy, charms, butterscotch, and gum. I had never even seen or heard of about half the candy sold here. My favorite unique candy was little red licorice gummy candy shaped like a firetruck and filled with a liquid hot cinnamon center. This was a fun stop as a tourist here but not as a local place I would head to. Yes, it had that longest candy counter but it's all filled with the nasty candy that I toss out during Halloween like Smarties, Tootsie Rolls, Necco wafers, Sweet Tarts, candy corn, etc. No international candies or nicer chocolates. The individual chocolates sold by piece were so expensive and too sweet. I did enjoy the novelty gift selection and other candy-related items like maple syrup and hot chocolate. While driving from New Hampshire to Canada, my boyfriend and I decided to exit 93 just before the Vermont border to cash in a lotto ticket and find something to eat. We stumbled upon Littleton and walked into Chutters after seeing the "World's Largest Candy Counter" sign in the window. They truly have every single candy you can think of, past and present. Most of the store is bulk items that you throw into a paper bag and pay by the pound (be careful, this adds up quickly!!). Most of the candy is $13.99 per pound. There are also single candy bars toward the back of the store, specialty chocolates on the right side of the store, and TONS of fudge by the pound at the center counter. As if that weren't enough. there are plenty of novelty toys and souvenirs throughout the store. A brief idea of what you can find in regards to candy: - Individually flavored gummy bears - Gummy EVERYTHING - Hard candy - Malt balls - Cordials - Old fashioned chocolate bars (Mars, Oh Henry, Skybar, etc) - Wax bottles - Flying Saucers - M&Ms that are no longer in production (mint, pretzel, etc) This place is awesome. Do you like candy? There are so many fun options from our childhood. There's plenty of gifts to be bought here. I love the arrange of the different types in separate jars, and also due to COVID 19, there's plastic gloves to handle the goods. It's beautiful to look at the awesome selection. Great candy stop for every imaginable gummy candy, hard candy, chocolate and everything in between. The glass canisters line the entire wall of the store with 2-3 rows. Price is per pound and by color of label. You can certainly drop a chunk of change because the pounds add up fast. There are gift type items, jams, pickles, mugs etc. They do have a customer rest room downstairs, which isn't handicap accessible fyi. We were in Maine for the week and made a stop in Littleton, NH on the way home because my roommate had lived there for a little bit. Longest candy aisle in the world!!! Very reasonable priced, delicious candy. They have almost everything, from gummies to chocolates. They are very sanitary and provide plastic gloves that you can use to hold the scooper and grab the candy. They even have gummy "brains". It's hard to beat a good old fashioned candy store (in my opinion) and that's exactly what Chutters delivers. There's of course the worlds longest candy counter along the left wall when you walk in. Tons of candy I remembered from my past as well as some I never knew existed (gummy pigs?!). You pay by the weight and I found it to be pretty reasonable, but we stuck with the lighter gummy section. They also have jelly beans, chocolates, and so many others it's hard to remember. They also have a fudge counter and all sorts of other candy types and paraphernalia at different displays around the store. The system to grab the candy is a bit interesting and you have to trust that everyone's following the rules (you use a provided glove to grab the candy after opening each individual jar and add to your bag) but I think that only adds to the charm! When we visited Littleton NH my wife and niece were craving some candy so we had to come to Chutters candy shop since they boasted having "The World's Longest Candy Counter". When we entered the store we were surprised to see the huge selection of candy they had. We all went hogwild on the candy counter and ended up walking out with three huge bags of candy. The cost here was fairly reasonable in comparison to other candy shops we have visited in the past.
