The cutest store ever! Homemade fudge the best is the peanut butter fudge. Local maple syrup is sold here and delicious!

Kellerhaus has amazing ice cream. Whenever I'd visit my lakehouse in the summer growing up, I'd…read morealways come here to get a sundae, and the best part was you get to apply the toppings yourself. That means however many nuts, hot fudge, peanut butter sauce, candy toppings, sprinkles, whipped cream, etc. your heart desires. Within the past few years, they updated their menu to include a lot more ice cream flavors, as well as adding their own sundae ideas. I fell in love with the peanut butter cookie sundae. The prices are well worth it. The employees there are really friendly, the seating is nice with a lot of windows, and they even have a water station where you can fill up a cup with water to enjoy beside your ice cream. Besides the ice cream, they also have a gift shop section as well as a room dedicated to selling tons of unique candy, including homemade chocolates and fudge!

We actually ended up here completely by accident. We were driving around the area when my wife, who…read morewas born in Bavaria and is very unapologetically German, spotted the name and the building and immediately decided that we needed to stop. Apparently, whatever I had planned for the afternoon was no longer relevant. I can't really argue with the decision because this turned out to be such a fun and unique place. The first thing you notice is that this isn't just an ice cream shop. There are multiple rooms filled with candy, chocolates, treats and all sorts of things that make you want to slow down and look at everything. There is a slightly retro feel to the whole place, and I mean that in the best possible way. You can very easily lose track of time wandering from room to room, looking at the candy, checking out the chocolates and trying to decide what you absolutely need to take home. Then there is the ice cream. The sundaes are fantastic because you get to build your own and load them up with whatever toppings you want. And they aren't stingy with the toppings, either. The ice cream itself was delicious, with a great selection of flavors, and the whole experience of putting together your own sundae makes it especially fun if you're with kids. Although, judging by my wife's reaction, you don't actually have to be a kid to enjoy it. They also make their own ice cream and have a wide variety of candies and chocolates made in-house. You absolutely need to try some of the "in haus" chocolates while you're there. There is something particularly satisfying about buying something that was actually made right there rather than grabbing another generic packaged candy bar. The staff were incredibly friendly and added to the experience. Everyone seemed genuinely welcoming, which is important in a place like this because you want to be able to wander around, ask questions and take your time looking at everything. Nobody made us feel rushed, and there is so much to see that rushing would almost defeat the purpose. This is a great place for the entire family. Kids are going to love the candy and ice cream, adults will appreciate the nostalgic atmosphere and the homemade treats, and honestly, everyone is going to walk out with something they didn't intend to buy. We certainly did. My wife may have had something slightly different in mind when she decided we needed to stop here, but she walked out looking like a little kid who had just been turned loose in a candy store, carrying a sundae, candies and chocolates. I wasn't exactly empty-handed myself. A really fun and unexpected find in the Lakes Region. If you're anywhere around Lake Winnipesaukee, this is absolutely worth a stop. It's charming, a little nostalgic, completely indulgent and just plain fun. I can see why people consider it one of the area's best-kept candy secrets. We'll definitely be back.

What in the holy Halloween did we just step into!? You mean I can get an incredible frappe and…read morealso pick up funny greeting cards or Halloween gear that will frighten even the most hardened unscareable human?? Welcome to North Conway's best yet undiscovered store/ice cream shop that you will also fall in love with, Tricks *AND* Treats! So which door do you enter, the one that has every delicious flavor you could ever want on the left, or the one to the right where Spiderman and Batman greet you in life sized form? I'll take Door #2 please! As you walk in, you will begin to see this store should probably be in Salem, MA and not randomly in the mountains, but that's a good thing. It's full of tchotchkes, a lot of stuff people don't really need but could be a good gag for a day or two. OK, I've looked around several rooms of this museum like Halloween store but it's now time to head over for the real show... But first, take a peek to your right. Do you love epic scenery? Then you've come to the right place for a gazillion dollar view of the mountains. Seriously, take it all in and appreciate it. Ok, let's peek into the ice cre.....WAIT, is that Han Solo?! And a uuhhmm unicorn? This place can give you ADHD but stay on target, as Red 3 used to say. ICE CREAM!! There it is. You heavenly sack of cow momma juice. Which flavor, the one packed with candies or the one that tastes like burnt caramel. Ah hell, let's try both between all of us. I went with a usual cone but the real walk away awesomeness here are the shakes. They are going to cost you more than double and do take almost 10 minutes to make but were super worth it in the end. Instagram influencer I am not so I'm just pointing out that when you see the first 20 something with 20k followers act like they found this place, my review will be on record here that nope, that wasn't them. Hop on your broomsticks and head on over to North Conway for the most magical combination of October and creaminess you could ever imagine.

It really is a fun little shop, that said like the Christmas Loft, if it wasn't on my tour group's itinerary, I would never have stopped and I don't envision a scenario where I'd go back either.
