Food is trash, service is trash and so is the ambience. That's all I have to say about this trash place. Worst service ever.

This location is incredibly slow. I sat in the drive thru for 10-15 minutes before I got to the ordering speaker, for a DoorDash order.

I decided a couple of months ago that I didn't like cheeseburgers. I swore I'd never eat another…read moreone. Enter Mugs Up Drive In. I had heard they made loose beef cheeseburgers and they are good. I drove to Mugs Up Drive In. I looked for a drive through but realized people parked and waited to be served. I parked near the menu. It's only viewable at the back of Mugs Up. I found it odd., The server walked to my car immediately. I ordered. I waited probably less than five or seven minutes. Out came the food: plain Whiz burger, fried mushrooms, medium root beer. They gave the best root beer anywhere. They make their own. Quickly home. The Whiz burger was phenomenal, considering it was my first cheeseburger in months. The fried mushrooms were the best I had. Root beer was the best. The only regret, I didn't order a black cow which is a root beer float. I'll do that next time. The server was helpful and pleasant. Serving parked vehicles quickly. It was super delicious.

My review is, for me, the burger, its not that good, its just not for me. My expectation was, they had the "IT FACTOR" for the burgers. Something you would have expected from the day, 60/70 years ago. The old larger bun, not biscuit size, grilled burger meat, mine seemed losely patted and steamed and more than pickle, onion and mustard. Maybe thats just the way its always been and others love it. Im glad I went but it is a one stop for me. I wish you another 70 years of continued service and a great icon of Independence, Mo.

I first had the honor of eating this delicious food at a 3rd Friday Art Walk in the Englewood Art's…read moreDistrict. It's hard to decide which is better, the owner, Miss Chewy, or the crazy amazing food! All I know is that if you haven't tried GOCHEW, you are sorely missing out. For those that might shy away from different cuisines, this is the perfect place to dip your toes into something outside the box!

We met at Café Cà Phê's four-year anniversary…read more I came around the corner and there they were. We locked eyes. I couldn't believe they were staring right at me. For a brief moment, I thought I heard music. There was a DJ, actually. But that's not how I remember it. I remember the bus. Yellow and black, impossible not to notice. Anime artwork stretched across the side. Go Chew Burger. At the window, someone was waiting who was every bit as inviting as the aroma coming out of that heavenly little bus. I started looking over the menu, and there, winking at me, was the GOCHEW Burger. They mentioned the double patty. I hesitated. "We won't tell anybody." Two patties it was. They also talked me through the kimchi: fresh or charred. They gave me enough information to make me feel like I was making all the decisions. Double patty. Charred kimchi. Loaded fries. I was all in. While I waited, I did what anyone with an infatuation does: research. I learned about Joohae "Chewy" Yoon and what she's trying to do with GOCHEW--take Korean flavors and put them into foods people already know. Burgers. Fries. Familiar food carrying something new. Then the buzzer went off. Time for our first date. No chairs. No tables. Things were getting a little awkward, so we went back to the car. The fries had lost their crispness to the sauces and steam, but I didn't care. The Korean BBQ sauce was sweet and savory, the gochujang brought mild heat, the creamy lime sauce cut through it all, and the bright green chives pulled everything together. Incredible. But the burger? Perfectly crisped edges. Juicy, hot beef. Melted cheese. Charred kimchi bringing sweetness and acidity. Three sauces that somehow never fought for attention. And the bun had a serious responsibility. Two patties. Cheese. Kimchi. Three sauces. Everything depended on it. Spider-Man protects New York and everyone who depends on him. This bun had the same problem. With great power comes great responsibility. And it held. Mostly. The attraction was still there. The infatuation was still there. But they had become something else entirely. Love. This wasn't just a good burger. This is the best smash burger I've had in Kansas City. Chewy set out to make people fall in love with Korean food by putting those flavors into things they already know. I think she got me.

May I suggest a new location up North? Cheap, fast Mexican food for late night cravings. I don't even go to Taco Hell when I know there's a Pancho's. I've tried their chimichangas, tacos, and steak fries -- but their burritos is where it's at! The California and Texano are my two favorites depending on whether I want steak or chicken. They give you two amazing sauces that are to die for, but you have to ask for the spicy avocado (in the drive through). Trifecta of sauces! Squeeze some lime over the California burrito, too.

I don't know if its new people or what but it is definitely Not the old Pancho's. Went this past Tuesday for Tacos, no special and got alllllll the way home only to find burt burt fried tacos. Those of you who had them before the reopen, know they were soft yet crisp goodness. They were full of meat, moist chicken full of flavor. But not Anymore‼Just so disappointing to eat out now. They want your money but food just not worth it. If someone finds the old Pancho cree please post. Now I have to find another taco spot. Reason for star at allI will say that when I took them back the young lady was very customer service friendly. She gave me a free drink while I waited. Kudos to her‼ But the second bash was h still missing the mark. The shell now is store bought or just IDK tasted like stale hard shell taco.
