We're here for a marathon which was also to pick up all the gear and bibs. Afterward we took a…read morelittle stroll to check out the gift shop which was very cute. Loads of amazing American indian artifacts, gifts, pottery, jewelry and so much more. Hence we noticed the restaurant. It's towards the end of it. I think there's also an entrance from the hotel, which is part of it. We walked in to check out the menu and decided to try it out. Checked in with the hostess and added our name to the waitlist. It was about 20-25 minutes. It was fine, more time to browse the store. There's also an area that you could wait outside with a view of the mountains and plains but it was dark and pitch black. Once we were buzzed and seated. The table already had a carafe of iced water on it. All the tables did. Menu wise, limited but some nice dishes. Don't know if it changes seasonal or it's the same menu. Food wise, went with the Arizona fried chicken. Three pieces tossed in a southwestern batter and deep fried. Served with jalapeños slices. Also a choice of fries, mash potatoes or white rice and seasoned veggies which was corn. And a piece of grilled Arizona bread which is similar to pita bread. Chicken was quite nice and juicy. Batter was good, not too much of it and a nice crunch. It was quite nice. Also had a bowl of soup which was like chicken tortillas without tortilla chips. That was quite nice as well. And an order of the chili beans con carne. A southwestern favorite which was a bowl of chili with shredded cheese and onions and served a side. The beef was flavorful and very hearty. Food was good, service was great. All the staff were very friendly. We asked about breakfast but it's only served for hotel guest. As well as meals after 7pm. Also, they don't have alcohol. Non alcoholic, yes.

Despite being the only choice for dining when staying at The View hotel, it wasn't too bad. I had…read moretheir "chili beans con carne" entree, also known as simply "chili" back east, and it was good. The mix of meat to beans was generous and it tasted like the chili my mom used to make. My taste has moved on since that time, however, and I've had better, more flavorful bowls through the years. My wife's tacos were "standard lunchroom fare" she could have made at home. Still, the food was filling and the service was good. The view during dinner was amazing and served to distract us from the less-than-stellar meal. I recommend it for the view.

Then headed back to my car and set my timer 30" later, I walked back in, My name no longer on the leaderboard And a second later, my name is called How cool was that?! A lady from the kitchen handed me my bag with a smile Parking can get dicey/cramped/tight/crowded But security assured me it's only like this today Likely due to the New Year's Eve festivities I got up the fries 15" later once I got to my destination And they're perfectly seasoned, crunchy on the outside And my wings, garlic parm and lemon pepper, are tasty and tender. I'll return

We both got the boneless combos w drinks. The food came out surprisingly quickly w how full their order screens looked at the front. Each order had a tracker on it. I frequent wingstop's in AZ & the only thing i could say is the wings could be seasoned a little more. Wings&fries were cooked nice&crispy. Another good thing I noticed the grease from the wings were minimal compared to other places I've been which I liked. The restrooms were very clean and from what I could see everything else in the restaurant was clean as well. A lot of younger kids working here but I'd say it well maintained for how busy they were. Thank you for ya'll's kindness we will be back for sure.

We were served undercooked pizza--twice--and it completely ruined our dinner…read more On the very first bite, I could feel that the dough was sticky and raw. When I checked the pizza, it was clearly undercooked, so we sent it back. We expected it to come back properly cooked, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. When the pizza was brought out the second time, it was still doughy and undercooked. I took photos of it, and they show multiple different slices--all of which had the same raw, gummy texture across the entire slice. This was not just one bad piece. Because of this, we didn't even get a chance to actually eat the pizza. That was our dinner, and we ended up leaving without being able to eat it. What made the situation worse was how it was handled. The manager insisted it was "ranch sauce" and claimed the pizza was cooked thoroughly, which is simply not accurate based on both the texture and appearance. I was also told I was the only person to complain, as if that somehow made the issue invalid. Regardless, we were served undercooked food--twice. They offered a $5 discount on a $21 pizza that we couldn't even eat, which did not feel like a fair resolution. Very disappointing experience overall--not just because of the food, but because the issue was dismissed instead of taken seriously.

When we arrived at 6:30p the parking lot was packed - and on a Wednesday! We waited for about 20 minutes and then were seated. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip, which is served with warm baguette slices - perfection. For entrees we had the meatball linguine and the chicken Parmesan- meatballs are house- made and were so flavorful, chicken on the parm was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Entrees are served with a side salad and their ranch was to die for- so thick and creamy. For dessert we had the chocolate gelato, which was the cherry on top of the meal. Yum! The place stayed busy until we left around 8 - a big party was waiting to be sat. The staff are very hard workers - they were busting their butts all over the restaurant for the duration of our meal. Our server (we didn't get his name, unfortunately) was wonderful. Highly recommend, and if we're ever back in Gallup, we'll definitely grab another meal here!
