This McDonald's was busy. When you're in this part of the country, you are hard pressed to find a restaurant. Fast food is the name of the game. Besides being on the road, I really wanted a hot meal. We went for a double cheeseburger and filet of fish. All the kiosk were inoperable and a line was slowly growing. Ordering was fast as was service. You must ask for water cups, napkins and utensils. Nothing is left for the customer to grab. You do help yourself to a beverage at the dispenser. Not gourmet but fills the hole in the belly. This McD's has a children's inside playground. Drive thru and parking outside. Free WiFi.

    Breakfast

Went here twice during our stay, service was great. They double checked my breakfast sandwich to make sure there was no pork, which really shows how kind the restaurant is.

Big area of this restaurant. They have play place too. Many seating and it was quite well clean too. Restrooms are not as per a big restaurant like this. You can easily expect a queue. They are small and without mirrors. Not sure what is the idea behind not putting mirror.

Stopped here for breakfast before heading out to 4 Corners. A very bright, clean and large McD with play area for kiddies. Staff is helpful about checking to see if you need help with the ordering kiosk. I'd rather they be in the kitchen to hurry your order. Bathrooms are clean as a matter of fact, she was in there cleaning and you can smell the bleach. Staff as came around as you were dining to see if everything was OK. She apologized for the one homeless appearing guy who was loud as bothered another patron. He eventually left. Our McMuffin sandwiches were good I would've liked my muffin a bit more toasted tho.

Surprisingly this was a pretty clean McDonald's for a fast food restaurant. The establishment looks fairly new. Kids play area and a couple touch monitors were available for kids. High top tables and high chairs, booths and tables throughout. Only 30 minutes is allowed for eating. Never seen that before. Egg white, white cheese, ham biscuit. Biscuit was overlooked and hard.

No interaction with staff, no way to pay cash. Waited at counter forever and the only way to order was the kiosk. Don't waste your time!

**July 2026: Tuesday Afternoon**…read more This Burger King in Kayenta was a great pitstop for our drive to and from the Four Corners Monument. It not only had a convenient EV charge right next door, but it had open bathrooms. Walking in, I felt like I'd been transported back to the 1980s and early 1990s. The whole place had that classic warm-toned aesthetic that feels very much like a vintage Burger King from that era. What really makes this location special is the Navajo Code Talkers exhibit inside. The owner is the son of a Navajo Code Talker, and the display honored Native American service members who used their language to create an unbreakable code during World War II. The Japanese military was never able to decode their messages, and the code talkers played a key role. The exhibit includes artifacts, photos, and literature about these heroes, and it's a powerful reminder of their contribution to the war effort. I also treated myself to a cookies-and-cream Oreo sundae, which was cool, creamy, and perfect for a hot day. Between the retro vibe, the meaningful museum, and the solid fast food, this was easily one of the most unique Burger Kings I've ever visited.

I only used the women's restroom and I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars. One stall was out of order and it looked very used overall. Besides the great tasting, hot food, the restaurant honored the Navajo Code Talkers. The owner of the restaurant, his father was a Code Talker and I counted its privilege to patronize here, thus supporting an American Hero's family. There are display cases with information tat I thought was very interesting.

The fry bread is outstanding, and an easy five stars. The green chile was more of a three-to-four-star dish, although I'd probably order it again. It had a complex, interesting flavor, but something about it struck me as tasting slightly mass-produced. Service was excellent and five star. Overall, I'd give the experience about 4.25 stars and happily return for the overall quality, setting, and chance to see if they can deliver a five-star experience across the board.

The restaurant has lots of seating and feels very laid-back and great for the end of a long day on the lake. I had one of the craft beers, Camp fire kolsch, which was delicious. For food I got the Hot Honey chicken sandwich, grilled- which was fantastic. We ordered a side of fries as the burgers do not come with fries. As for service, our server was very to-the-point, not quite friendly but not rude. It was okay for me because I was ready to be done for the day, but most of our party didn't feel welcomed by our server's attitude and we're all generally easy going. We paid our bill with cash, when our server came back with the receipt he dropped it with us and left with the change. I try to make a point of tipping generously, at least 20% but I'm not really okay with someone helping themselves to a 40% tip. He came back after a few minutes of us sitting there (wondering if he forget or really took off with our change) and gave us our change- we still left 20% for him because maybe it was just a forgetful moment... All in all, good food and drink, service could use some polishing.
